Same!!! Although I got acquainted with SNK in the Arcades, and then at home with the Super Nintendo, 3DO, and PlayStation, until most recently, the Saturn.

The Neogeo is not a sprite masterpiece, more like a "Maskrom" masterpiece, the Saturn is way more capable than the Neogeo in terms of sprites, its just that Saturn games didn't came in huge maskrom cartridges but in optical media such as the CDRom paired with a small amounts of system RAM (32mbits), proof of that is the Sega STV hardware which is a Sega Saturn that use ROM memory exclusively.

Yes but at the price it was it was nearly a pointless system.

A more pointless system would be the Capcom CPS Changer, with it's minimal availability and number of games released for it, but even that has the right to exist. Doesn't have Ghouls 'N Ghosts and some other classics from the arcades, so it's a pass even if i had the money.

@@DancesRainyStreets at 600-700 (in the early 90s which is just insane) and $200-300 per game (again, in the early 90s), it wasn’t for 99% of gamers. Like I said, a virtually pointless system.

@@DancesRainyStreets no but a Ferrari is trying to market itself to a high income demographic. Video games in the early 90s were targeting kids and young teens. A demographic that’s not going to be able afford that much money on the system let alone the games. Thats the equivalent of expecting to pay $1400 for a system today and the target for that is kids? Like I said, virtually pointless.

Uma pena já que com um bom Cartucho de RAM o Saturn da uma surra em placas da família neo geo CD CDz AES E MVS a própria SNK limitou o Saturn com um cartucho de 1mb e olha que esse jogo nem cartucho usa e ficou quase pau a pau imagina com um cartucho de 2.5 ou 4mb seria um baita surra nas placas da neo geo.

Saturn pegou fama de ser fraco em 3d pelos jogos mal feitos devido a complexidade de programação do hardware enquanto o ps1 fazia muito bem o 3D devido sua facilidade de programação…a única vantagem q vejo do ps1 sobre o Saturn são os efeitos de luz q no ps1 são lindos e as camadas de transparência…e só…Saturn quando bem utilizado é superior ao ps1 até msm no 3D…tenho o tekken 3 no ps1 aqui, que é considerado o top jogo de luta 3D dele, e tenho o dead or alive no Saturn…coloco os 2 simultaneamente rodando aqui no mesmo modelo de tv e no mesmo sinal/cabo…tecnicamente o Saturn é bem melhor…textura 3D, fps, e resolução superior no Saturn…tekken 3 é um jogo mais estiloso, músicas mais descoladas etc…mas tecnicamente dead or alive no Saturn é superior…isso é fato…

A SNK limitou o uso de memória RAM no Saturn fazendo um cartucho de 1mb para segura o potencial a onda do Saturn pois sabia que com mais memória RAM o Saturn atropelaria o MVS fácil já que todos os recursos são superiores só precisando de memória RAM para humilhar os rivais.

They are indeed really close, however it sounds like the sound effects sound a bit clearer on the Neo Geo whereas they sound more a bit more compressed on the Saturn on some games. However BGMs seem identical between each versions.
