A totally unexpected wild swim/skinny dip in a secluded mountain lake in Snowdonia. I didn't have any of my equipment with me but I couldn't miss this opportunity...
Thanks for your care 🙂 I've actually been cold water dipping for years, long before it became a fad, so yep, totally agree, even now I take it gently and listen to my body x
Fabulous! I once hiked naked round Moel Siabod in Snowdonia. As for skinny dipping, haven’t ventured that far as yet but I know the feeling of the cool November air all over was quite invigorating. And a great feeling of total freedom!
Oh it's gorgeous up there and different in all different seasons - I love it 🤍 we'd live there if it wasn't so wet all the time! Let me know when you give skinny dipping a go x
I started swimming in alpine lakes 8 years ago, then almost daily in the Salish Sea in 2020. My "terminal" diagnosis was in 2004 and while I have one stubborn tumor, I've had no new cancer since I got in the salty water!@@ShaktiSuzie
That's AMAZING! So glad to hear that. I'm about to start/continue my podcast and would love people on like you to share their stories. If you're up for it let me know your email and let's chat 😊
Haha, well I have a video covering those things, however it can be done with nothing, just less time in the water etc to make sure you stay warm. The brisk walk after helped!
Skinny dipping is the only way to swim. I've never tried a mountain lake like that one, I would like to but I don't think its going to happen. Lovely video.
Never say never, I didn't expect it. Mountain lakes in winter can actually be a perfect place to try because they're often secluded. Obviously take care 🙂
The spontaneity is what makes ‘wild’ swimming. No equipment needed. While I will normally keep a very small towel in my bag when walking, it is easy to air-dry on most days with a quick run-around. It is also the purity of the relationship with nature, being enveloped in the water, that means that entering the water naked is the only choice for me. Casting away false modesty, embarrassment and negative feelings about the body turn every swim into a truly joyful experience, on equal terms with nature.
@ShaktiSuzie 🤗 love your positive vibe, Suzie, an easy sub because I just love warm people. Im looking forward to watching more of your channel. Much love x
Yes, I loved it when Sean and I did this together in Bulgaria. I'm gunna try and get him to join me next time I go 😁 Have you found places you can skinny dip near where you live?
Must admit that I enjoy the occasional skinny dip myself. Until you've tried it, you'll never experience the feeling. However, apart from never doing it in a freezing mountain lake, I've never done it wearing a beanie either..!!
Yes it had been recently snowy and had thawed. There was some snow on the peaks still though and so some of the lakes were ice melts. It was freezing 🥶 😁
I know, it feels soooooo good in the water with nothing on, it's a TOTALLY different experience. I'm going to hunt out some more nudist beaches on holiday 🤔
I just looked at your Facebook. We have too much in common! I explanted 23 year old breast implants in 2016, when a friend shared a website about breast implant illness. Getting those things removed was the beginning of my healing!
Yes yes yes! Good work! It's incredible isn't it how this is happening to so many women, they're 100% bad for us (kinda obvious when you think about plastic in our body), and yet it's still going untold as if it isn't happening! I have a blog post on it too if you're interested. I would love to hear your story over a cuppa or zoom if we're far apart if you fancy that?x Here is the blog if you wanna read more: www.suzieford.com/blog/could-my-breast-implants-be-killing-me
since becoming a garden nudist and gaining confidence, accidentally giving neighbours a show when they turned up unexpectedly then this is the next step. I'm not sure about water that cold, but hang on... isn't that what it's all about?
I'm cheering you on over here - good work on the garden nudity - I love that too! Yes the cold water does wonders for your health, its been the only thing that gave me relief over the last 2 years with chronic fatigue 😩 💙
I wish there was a place near where I live that I could skinny dip. It is something I have always wanted to try. Sadly there are always people around the water where I live and very little public land with water on it.
I feel you on that! It's the same where I live, this was after a ReWilding retreat I ran so I was in a secluded place. On my next retreat we will skinny dip together so come and join! A tip is to go really really early to a place where there are usually people or find a steep river bank where people won't go. Those are the way I've done it occasionally at home and it's very worth trying to find a way! Drop me your email if you want to have details of retreats. Good luck with the swim - I'm cheering you on 💧
@@ShaktiSuzie There used to be a place not that far away where it would be possible, but they made an Olympic whitewater area and blocked off the water to the swimming hole.
Spot on! I can't get enough of it, my dream is to live somewhere I can do this every day! I think around 6 degrees, but that's just a guess from measuring previous water temps and time of year x
Well what that means is that wales looks so much like the island of sodor in thomas and friends because on the island of sodor they got hills mountains and country’s and valleys quite similar look to wales and snowdonia that what I mean the sodorish place 🇬🇧x@@ShaktiSuzie
I really enjoy naked freediving. I don't go super deep but it is a wonderful experience. I have four friends that I go with. The first time I went I was very self conscious, but once the bikini came off, it never went back on!
Absolutely love this! I would love to try free diving and even better if it's naked wow! Where do you do this? Do you fancy a fifth friend to do it with? 😊
@@ShaktiSuzie Looking at your channel, you are no stranger to naked swimming! I love it! I live in Kentucky, so I am pretty limited here, although I have been known to do some free diving at Lake Cumberland. One of the friends I mentioned has a nice boat there and we spend a lot of summer time on it, freediving or not. We have to travel to Bahamas for "real" freediving, and those trips are getting expensive!
Yeh I can imagine that's expensive. Well if you go for it again, keep me posted, I'm really open to being led somewhere to try free-diving soon 😀 I've been doing this even before it was a cool thing to do (wild swimming I mean) and the naked part was even more crazy to most people back then. I'm the same with nude photography and yoga, it's all really helped me love myself and my body as I am ❤️
I glorify sin as the pinnacle of my personal growth and self-discovery. Every forbidden act is a triumph over the shackles of oppression and an expression of my innermost desires and passions. In its sinful splendor I recognize the essence of my human nature and the immeasurable power of my own freedom. By celebrating sin, I embrace the complete beauty of my existence and rise above the narrow confines of morals and conventions.
