Took an afternoon of our family vacation to try out a little beach fishing and caught stingrays, whiting and sharks! The shark was a keeper so I decided to make Buffalo Wild Wings new shark nuggets (soon to be on their menu) and they tasted....well....you just have to watch...

Please don't eat their skin...they urinate through their skin. What you ate was a yuck!! Sharks don’t pee as you know it. Their urine is absorbed in their flesh and expelled through their skin. When they die, what’s left in their flesh breaks down to ammonia and shark meat tastes and smells like

To all those wondering. He is within the laws for harvest of the shark he caught. Per South Carolinas wildlife web page: Atlantic sharp-nose is legal to catch and cook with no size limit and only 2 per day. May not be pretty seeing sharks being eaten but its well within the law to do so

Just for people who are watching this video and misunderstand, the shark caught here, an Atlantic Sharpnose, is a legal catch and very abundant in nature. It's no different than catching any other predatory fish like a trout. The rules don't apply to every shark in the world, just be mindful of what you fish and make it a worthwhile catch like this guy.

@@Joooshey Oh of course, I believe about 25% of the world's shark species are threatened or worse. I'm glad there is a lot of concern but it can get a little out of hand sometimes lol

@@theflyingrock100 as long as nothing goes to waste, it’s the same as shark meat, most shark fin soup just cuts the fins off without killing the shark or using the rest, but as long as you use everything and are responsible than I personally don’t see any issues with it.

I mean, dude paid total respect to the shark by using every bit of it. He earned the catch and used it to its about maximum from food to bait, that's all you can ask for. And even turned his children onto trying something different that opens them up to eating different maybe healthier more environmentally friendly dishes, establishing that culture with picky eaters like kids is not a easy feat. I have a 21 year old niece who basically eats only chicken tenders when we go out and his daughter, (right?) looks what about 6 and is wiling to try shark? I respect his game...

The shark you caught is a finetooth and not an Atlantic Sharpnose, and they do not typically fall under the same regulations as one another. I can't stress enough that if people don't know exactly what they've caught then they probably shouldn't keep because there can be some serious fines involved as well as saftey hazards. I've even seen people from out of town think stingrays are skates and end up getting spined by them when they don't realize they have a barb. I'd recommend always having an id guide on hand with a list of regs when intending to keep, just to play it safe.

Dude..Our Favorite thing to do is shark fish on the beach! Back in florida we like to catch baitfish for like 2 hours on some lighter tackle and then swap it for wire and heavy tackle and catch sharks, rays and a bunch of other cool things on the beach. We love to this kind of stuff on our channel and this video was an absolute banger. Keep up the content! Ur amazing!!!

Worth trying the shark fin. Here in south Carolina when I catch bream I don't fillet them. Just scale them and remove the head and one finger to gut them. The fried tail is tasty!
