If you have back pain, the fact that you can bend it 90 degrees to vacuum under furniture is a MASSIVE feature. Not sure why others haven’t thought about it, it’s pretty much the main reason I want and will buy one now.
I can finally say that Shark is one company that actually listens to its customers. I have commented on many of your videos suggesting Shark to include all these features into 1 vacuum. Shark once commented on one of my comments saying that they would take my recommendation into consideration. And here we are now...

Just purchased this vacuum before watching your review, and I agree with everything you said 100%. Honestly bought this model because they were out of the Dyson pet stick I wanted at bed bath and beyond, and this was a good substitution....One of the few times it worked out in my favor because this vacuum is so much more than I expected. Thanks for the tip on cleaning the roller too. Good to know!!
@@LCthoughts His suggestion to clean the roller is a very good one. I've vacuumed up things like string cheese wrappers that have gotten stuck in the base. But this model is so easy to take apart and clean. It holds a good charge too. I'm extremely happy with this purchase. Highly recommend! 😊👍
I Have this and a Dyson v10 (no soft roller). Thoughts -Shark picks up medium/large debris way better. -Feels like Dyson has a bit more suction on carpets (but shark gets them clean just fine and doesn’t eat mats as much) -Shark doesn’t have powered brush attachment , Dyson does and is great for stairs -Shark is great because it can go between hard and soft floors like a champ. With Dyson you’d have to get fluffy absolute head to match sharks hard floor capability and swap heads in between -Shark gets me more run time (5-10 min) All in all can’t go wrong with Shark for around $200 -250 on sale at Kohl’s with Kohl’s cash. That said, the dyson v10 is great as well albeit needing the absolute version to be as versatile and costing more. All in all Shark is great
The corded one doesn't even have a hepa filter. I think that is a huge overlook for a flagship model. Also, Did Vacuun Wars completely pass over the Apex Line? It wasn't out long, before being upped.
I've been desperately waiting for a duo clean with anti-hairwrap tech on one of Shark's cordless. And just after I've bought their previous flagship Apex corded vacuum, it's already been dethroned by the the Vertex lineup. Still love my Apex though. Always enjoy your reviews man!
Just got this for $199 at Walmart and I’m VERY pleased. I was amazed by how much dirt I got the first time and then I realized I forgot to even use the boost at all!! My first cordless vacuum. Life changing honestly because I vacuum every day. The duo brush is a MUST. I used to have the corded DUO Clean Rocket which is good too because you can actually take out both rolls with that one for cleaning. It’s hard to find that one actually. But cordless is priceless and I could never go back.

Just got this. It’s amazing. The LEDs work kind of like the laser on the v15 and man oh man my floors were dusty. But this picked everything up. Everything. Thanks for the great reviews!
The reason that the shark vertex cordless has both anti hair wrap and duoclean is because powerfins is more of something that when paired with duoclean becomes 1 technology rather than duo clean with zero m which are more like 2 technologies combined into 1 vacuum!

Thanks so much for this review! I have three long-haired people in my home so having a vacuum that doesn't tangle was the most important feature for me. I bought the Vertex Cordless based on this review and I LOVE IT!! Our primary house vacuum for years has been an old Dyson DC33. We thought it was pretty good, but I've run the Vertex on our carpet twice and each time it picked up a TON of stuff. Absolutely incredible. One day, I hope to get rid of our carpet, at which point I'll probably just get a model with just the soft brush, but for now this thing rocks. I'm astonished at how little hair gets wrapped around the brush. I vacuumed my entire ~3400sqft house with it and probably picked off 3-6 hairs. That's bonkers. The main con I agree with you on is the button placement. I ALWAYS mix those same two buttons up. I'm also not entirely sure why the vacuum locks in the down position. I'd rather be able to just lift it and go. But it's not a deal breaker. I'd like to offer a negative to prospective buyers: I can't find a battery for this thing. I'd like to have a second one on hand so I can go longer at one time. The battery takes 2-3.5 hours to charge and I'd really like to get a little more done in that time. I've found that when doing average cleaning, I can pretty much do one floor of my house on a charge (not using the turbo button). I'd love to be able to do two. But I don't know how to get a second battery and the Shark website doesn't list them. I don't know if it's a supply chain thing or what... Anyway! Thanks again for the review. Update: I still love this vacuum and the hair pickup is incredible. Recently I figured out that we had vacuumed roughly 2K sqft at least 4 times and found one or two hairs after all of that. It's incredible. This is with three people with very long hair living in the house all the time.

Yes. Kohl's had it for $225 with free shipping and received $60 dollars Kohl's cash. Received on December 1 and it works great. Not using my Dyson anymore.
Thank you so much for this review. I am about to purchase a new vacuum and this helped me decide. A year ago I purchased a Dyson cordless and I am so disappointed. It hardly picks up, you have to hold the "trigger" the whole time you vacuum and it only pushes pet food around. And, now it will only run about a minute and a half before it needs charging. I think I got a lemon. Thanks again.
Thanks for another nice review. PLEASE could you include more information on the charging and storage! Does this this have a wall dock? Does it have a battery dock? Does it come with 1 or 2 batteries? Your cleaning performance tests are awesome- but I still want to know how it will integrate into my home and what the entire experience is (including charging and storing).
I just purchased the shark vertex cordless after my Dyson V8 started to scuff my hardwoods after a few months of use. It seems to be the right combination of excellent pick up of debris off hardwoods and good suction to get embedded dust out of my rugs. We don’t have any carpet in our home so I can’t speak to that but so far I’m impressed!
This is definitely the first cordless with the anti tangle in the US but it’s been in Europe for a year now. I’m really surprised you didn’t mention the noise on hard floor. It’s the loudest floor head on hard floors I have ever used because of the powerfins. I’m glad you like it but this is a major step backwards from the P50 in my opinion. I love the upright Vertex but the cordless version is a hard pass for me.
@@VacuumWars maybe add a volume score to your tests, I usually vacuum with earmuffs as they're nearly all over acceptable loudness for hearing loss but not everyone cares...
Good video. I much prefer the design of my P50 however. Less strain on the arm and the powered hose is really helpful for cleaning the car rather than trying to get a handheld canister in the small spaces.

I've been waiting for a cordless stick vacuum that works. Something that really hits the mark. But two questions that you didn't cover. What is the noise level of the motor? And can you use the attachments on the long stick when removing the dual roll head.

Hi, awesome review. I was just about to purchase on amazon when I started seeing comments regarding getting shocked ( static I guess) while using. Whats your opinion on this.
He never mentions how often filters must be cleaned/replaced. He never mentions how long suction is maintained on average before filters clog and the vacuum gets dirty. This is the most important information you need on a vacuum that he never provides.
I have it and like it: 2 complaints - previous models has a”grab bar” not a huge deal but would be convenient 2. hate that for higher power-have to hold trigger in place...not great for arthritic hands...but I do admit high power not needed much...
Also love your reviews. I learned that I may need height adjustment in a vacuum to deal with maneuvering on our particular carpet. Could you please consider adding height adjustment feature to your product reviews/comparisons.
I’m wondering if you could compare the Shark Vertex Cordless with the Dyson V11 Outsize, it seems like the Dyson is smith better vacuum in general, but I am looking for the cordless vacuum that is the best for pet hair. I haven't used the Dyson, but I now own the Vertex cordless because the folks in my house have long hair and it's literally killed vacuums before. I am astonished by how this thing picks up hair. It's as close to perfect as possible. He has said in another video that if your entire house is hard surfaces, get a vacuum with just the soft roller. Those things don't get hair wrap. But I have some carpets and rugs, so I didn't want to swap heads to do different surfaces. This thing can do both surfaces and never gets hair on it. It's incredible.

My favorite is still the shark P50! I own it and use it almost every day! I’ve never owned a cordless vacuum before and I found your channel which helped me decide which one to buy! I hope they make a sequel to the p50 because I really prefer the standing style cordless and there aren’t enough of that style in my opinion. If they ever stop making the p50 I’ll have to pony up and buy the Lupe
@@animeadict17 I came across the p50 before I was ready to purchase my own vacuum while I was shopping for something light and maneuverable for my disabled grandma I figured it would be too cumbersome to try and take the canister off and empty out so I ended up getting her a Bissell air ram. I got my mom the ion F80 on clearance a couple years ago before the vertex line came out and it's a nice vacuum but holy crap that hair tangle around the non-removable brushroll is miserable! The p50 had the same brush roll is why I didn't end up buying a p50 for myself... I'm glad they fixed that and I'm going to buy this now :-)
@@NoZenith for me the hair tangle isn’t that bad. I don’t live with anyone with long hair. And you can remove the soft roll to clean. But in the future I will be upgrading
@@animeadict17 my mom keeps her hair about 4 inches long, it'll also pick up strings and I'm growing my hair out for Wigs For Kids and this crap is well below my shoulders. My dog didn't have that long of hair but it's still caught up really bad in the bristles... Like ridiculously clogging the bristles themselves and it was so frustrating. This vacuum actively excites me. Just waiting for a sale!
I just tried this vacuum. The Dyson V10 is way better, but I am an outlier customer with 2 siberian huskies in the house. One of the dogs is kinda wooly, so her fur is longer and lighter -- which means it spins itself into like a yarn when you try to collect it with a roller as small as this one. The dyson fluffy head somehow navigates it really well and does not tangle.
im hoping shark will come out with this in a corded version; I dislike batteries and have asthma and allergies so I would LOVE the complete seal. Thank you so much for this review- this is a contender for my next vacuum purchase!

Hi there! I absolutely love your videos/reviews and now only look for “vacuum wars” when viewing any video about vacuums. I really appreciate your honesty, which is why I value your opinion. Anyway, I am in the market for ideally a cordless upright vacuum that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg. (Maybe just an arm, lol) But on a serious note, my next vacuum must be cordless and an upright vacuum is more of a request than a requirement. I thought this shark cordless vertex was going to be perfect for me until you said it’s kind of difficult to maneuver on carpet. I had this problem with the Hoover Evolve Pet Vacuum. I got it because it was cordless, upright and a great price, however, I returned it due to its poor maneuverability on my carpet in my condo. For the past few years, I have been (and still do) using the cordless Dirt Devil Reach Max Plus, which does the job for my two bedroom and two bathroom condo, but I am ready for a new and improved one. What cordless vacuum do you recommend for my condo? I know you tested the Dirt Devil Reach Max Plus and the reason why I like it is because it’s easy to maneuver on my carpet while others (like the Hoover Evolve Pet vacuum) have been somewhat difficult. So now that you know that easy maneuverability on carpet is one of my two requirements. (CORDLESS vacuum is the other requirement, and my two requests are that it’s not overly expensive and it’s an upright vacuum) So what would be your recommendation on the best cordless vacuum that is easy to maneuver on carpet that is (preferably) also an upright position vacuum that’s not overly expensive? The shark ion p50 and the simplicity s65 come to my mind but I am curious as to what comes to yours. I would appreciate any and all feedback you may have. Well after much debating I finally bought this vacuum, Instead of the shark cordless vertex pro lift away. And can’t wait to try it out. I live in an apartment complex with 2 baby’s plus hubby and me. I clean everyday, especially the floor. So I’ll update in a week or 2
I have a corded shark vacuum (i really like my old shark vacuum but am tired of the cord aspect) so I was really excited to get a stick cordless shark vacuum. I have had it for 3 days…and it’s a no for me. Personally after using it 4 times in those 3 days, I noticed it was very frágil, the battery seems to be enough for our 2 bd apartment but by the time I finish it’s at its last line. Doesn’t stand up by itself when fully extended upright with the canister attached. I do like that it folds tho, it’s space saving. I like that It doesn’t make as much noise as my corded shark. Plus my Toddler loves pushing it around when the canister is not attached…but I just feel it’s too frágil. When I am going around corners or when I’m going to vacuum a mat, the middle part moves a little, or only the handle moves and later the head… I don’t know how to explain it very well. It might just be that I am accustomed to the upright vacuums so I am going to buy the Shark Vertex Pro cordless that has the canister at the bottom. Hopefully i like that one 🤞
I just found this channel and I'm in the market for a new cordless stick vacuum. I currently have a Dyson v8, and one of the things I love about it is that it's not that loud. I can easily talk on the phone while using it. Do you include the level of sound output in your reviews? If not could that be something you could do. I'm guessing I'm others would love to know the noise level while operating them as well. TIA!
I have one almost exactly like this the only difference is mine only has the anti hair wrap roller,, but ABSOLUTELY EVERYTHING else is the exact same as this model. I LOVE IT! Mines rose gold (salmon is the actual product color name.. lol.. but trust me,, it's pink 😉) and I got mine from QVC,, about 6wks ago.. I think they sell for around 250-300$ on there normally, I got mine as a new Today Special Value ..so I paid 199! Worth every penny (so far..lol)

Rocket pet plus is just another name for rocket pet pro in some retailers, it has complete seal. The one that does not have complete seal is rocket pro, which you named "pet pro". And there is no one called "pet", it is just rocket. I really enjoy your video and I watched many of these shark reviews, you did not confuse in the previous videos, so maybe just a reminder to you.
I think you need to start including how loud these are vs their competitors using a dB meter. This shark cordless is very very loud and people may not like how loud it is.

I got the Shark duoclean vertex cordless powerfin and I feel the vacuum is a bit too heavy. I tried my sister-in-laws Dyson v7. I like the Dyson more. Dyson is lighter and has more suction power, the head is smaller and is able to clean closer to the wall.
Right now, the vertex cordless and the dyson V8 absolute are the exact same price. So at the same price point, which of those 2 vacuums would recommend for the only vacuum in a small/medium sized apartment?
I have long hair and it gets everywhere! With a toddler, and playing on the floor, it was becoming a problem. But I also really wanted a cordless. For currently about $100 more than the Shark Pet Pro, this seems worth it!

There is a corded version of this also. It didn't seem like it had more than a foam filter in specs. It didn't say hepa like the Apex uplight stick model.

Any plans on ever doing the small handhelds review? I asked about this a while back and you said you were planning it. Also are you planning on doing the new Wyze budget robot vac? They're an amazing company for budget smart home gadgets. Cheaper than anyone else usually but they excel on a lot of levels... ie they don't abandon products and never improve software like Neato does.
I recieved this vacuum after pre-order 3 weeks ago and really like it. I use it more then the v11 torque or the LUPE, the LUPE would be the go to exc ept for the lack of headlights and the inability to vacuum under all but the highest of furniture, huge flaw imo. In my testing the shark duoclean ionflex is still the most powerful cordless shark model in regular mode, it gets 55 inches of suction and in high it gets like 70ish, I tested the vertex at 35 inches on regular and the exact same on high as the ionflex, I know this is for battery conservatyion but I have 2 batteries for the ionflex and the much better regular suctionm has me wishing the vertex had the same, although I never have to charge the vertex,lol. it lasts forever! It is a tad louder then the ionflex but no biggie, thanks for releasing this review, ive been waiting!
I actually sent Lupe the details for the AEG/Electrolux low profile head which i have on my ultra one and is sublime. The Lupe head height and weak real life power on wood is so laughable. Feel like a chump
@@mainsource8030 AEG head is 36mm oval so doesn't fit on the Lupe sadly. Also I took the brush off the crevice tool otherwise it can't get under the fridge and into other crevices
