To everyone who has entered for the Cabrinha giveaway, the winner HAS NOT BEEN ANNOUNCED YET. There is a scam running where you get a direct message with a phone number to text and then you are congratulated. You are then requested to pay shipping for your Cabrinha. I’m glad I was able to verify directly with he crew that it was a scam and hopefully save others from losing $51.
Renee, empty nesting was hard for me, but it looks like you've gained a large family of kids with the med crew, etc! Your nest will always be full! How blessed!
I totally lost it at 19:50 ! It's so heartwarming to see Ketih teach and explain, and Jack just listening I lost my own dad to drugs in my late teens. What I wouldn't give for moments like that!
How refreshing to hear such honesty straight from the heart, Jack appears to be a chip off the old block, what a great relationship they have. Life is such a journey, we can’t choose our parents, and this is not meant to be a negative comment. Circumstances took your father, which you inherit and now becomes your life journey, make the best of this sad situation, aspire for the same outcome as Jack with kids of your own. Be nice to get an invite on Zatara hey..
One of the best sailing channels going. Natural and uncontrived! Hope you might come to the Pacific Northwest. No hurricanes and gorgeous scenery, especially in British Columbia.
With most viewers just watching for 10 min, I am so glad you haven’t shortened your videos. I’m in Kansas & ALWAYS watch the whole video & wish they were longer! ❤
Normally I skip over the promo bits but this one for surf shark was fantastic 😂 they should make a commercial with your footage I’ve been wind surfing and water skiing before but I would love to see a how to with narration for kite surfing 😊
Highly recommend watching this video on your TV for the full experience. Top notch content. The shark footage was amazing. Everyone looks like they are living their best lives. ❤❤⛵️
I've been watching y'all since Day 1! The monohull. Everyone adjusting to life at sea, the kids unhappy at times. From Kate falling out of a tree to Curacao welcoming you w/a megaphone, & all the spots in between! WOW! When you show early clips of those times it's so weird cause I can't remember your children then, even tho I watched them! You've raised incredible kids at sea!!!!!! Your episodes are always with it, entertaining, & interesting! Kudos, Renee & Keith! There is a movie, "Boyhood", where the director filmed the actors over a period of 12 years, watching them mature. It's incredible! Have to say, watching your channel has been the same!!! ❤🎉😂😅😊🎉❤
Something different "Zatara". When I saw the new episode debut. I said. "I hope there is some Kiting today." Well, there was and I just loved flying with y'all. I'm impressed with Kate's increasing enjoyment with the scuba diving. I love it when you keep up with those rascally boys. You leap as well as any of them - cliffs I mean. It's lovely to see you again. I was suffering withdrawal symptoms. Miss Renée, when I shoot family vids, I don't vlog but I was so pleased to see you had some airtime, emerging from the ocean, like A Bond Lady, and then jogging along that gorgeous sandy beach. There are lots of things to amuse all. Keith seems to have had a holiday -- we haven't seen him up to his elbows in motor oil. Keep sailing out on the blue. I love you all.
San Diego here and YES! we will have the SDIBA (San Diego International Boat Show) in June of this year. San Diego is THE MOST beautiful place. nothing like cruising your boat 100ft from the US pacific fleet.
Excellent video, as always Renee keeping the entertainment solid! You had me on the edge of my seat with Finn and Kate in the water with those Lemon Sharks, yikes - some brave kids you raised. I could imagine how different boat life will be with the kids gone -- wishing them all the best as they soon will be venturing off on their own journeys. BTW, it was great to see you swimming and running on that beautiful beach Renee since you are always filming.Keep up the great work!
This was just great fun. Lighthearted and natural. So much fun to see the Zatara family as we know them. And Luke. Wow, he just seems to be one of the family that has been there all along. What an experience you have provided him. Would like to know the story behind how you invited him to join for the crossing. Perhaps you sensed his adaptability. He and Glory pretty much took charge of the gang traveling after they left the boat. He is a natural. Assume he and his girlfriend are past tense! I think you have changed his life. You asked if there were boat shows in California. Yes many (I live in So cal) and some large ones. I know San Francisco has a large one because years ago, I was involved with motor yachts, and we had one in the show that was the Flagship. Brought it down from Seattle to Newport in So Cal. An eventful trip to say the least. Anyway, yes, come here if there is any water left in the Panama Canal!
It's nice to see Keith doing some fun activities like scuba diving. Sometimes it seems like all he does is fix stuff and stress about the weather. I wish Kate and Keith would take a camera with them when they scuba dive, I would have loved to see what they saw.
I found this channel years ago after watching The Count of Monte Cristo and the fact that they used the Zatara (drift wood) reference as a reason for the name made it that much better. You all have the best sailing channel out there its the only one I will look forward to each week. The editing and way each episode is formed never fails to entertain and just allow an escape to the world of sailing. Forever a fan keep up the amazing work
Ok. You guys bring back so many memories for me. Lived this cruising lifestyle for decades. Lots of free and Scuba diving and ocean sailing. New lands and cultures. Great stuff.

Cabrinha giveaway size 9❤ I love your videos they inspire me so much to live a lifestyle like you guys after I graduate college🐠 Love from The Netherlands
Yes, come to CA!!!! Can I just say how impressed with how impressed I am with Kate? That girl amazes me more and more each week. Good job Kate! And good job parents for raising such awesome kids! Love from CA... ❤
The snorkelling with the Lemon Sharks was awesome and very brave. You could easily have identified the wrong species and the interaction could have resulted in some serious injuries! These creatures are very big and can be unpredictable! Even though this was pre-filmed I honestly couldn’t watch until you were back on the boat. As someone who loves swimming and snorkelling, the idea of a marauding Great White shark has become entrenched in my psyche and I sometimes panic when I am too far out from the shore.
Yeah I’m traumatized as well as my eyes have seen far too many close calls with sharks and specifically a few breaching great whites just a few feet from the boat. Staring right at me where I was standing in the cockpit. It was a bigger motorboat than this but damn you feel small. Luckily it didn’t land in the cockpit. Sometimes I need to go inside if I sense shark waters but friends and family see no danger.. Just don’t want to witness any more injuries. It surprises me that this seems to be the first time for them to have sharks around the boat, which is a nightly occurrence whenever I live on the boat. They’re there regardless of the lights but I love switching the light on and just watch them all, the Goliath groupers, GT’s, sometimes mantas come closer as well I just respect their habitat and know where not to enter the water or in what weather conditions, time of day.
Yes I was very surprised by the cavalier attitude from this wonderful family towards these sharks that they could have misidentified. Multiple tourists have been killed recently in the Bahamas on paddleboards, while snorkelling, and poking around. There are warnings out for the start of 2024 on this very topic! Increased shark attacks in the Bahamas!!! Well if Luke and Finn survived those those scooter and blade board rides on that incredible bumpy road on that uninhabited island in the Turks and Caicos with no helmets .. these risk takers are doing ok so far. That too made me nervous. Love these videos tho 💕🏝️
15:41 you have so many viewers from here in California because we’re dreaming of escaping this state. It would be great to meet you if you do come out here for a boat show.
My wife and I have been watching your videos for some time, always admire your courage. Sorry to see your son’s and daughter looking to move on but understand as we have been empty nesters for some time. Take care and be safe. Enjoy your time at your Montana home.
Renee, I am in awe of how you support, encourage and keep your s**t together when your kids jump off cliffs into the sea and swim at night with the sharks! I have watched you from the beginning of your story and watched your children become confident adults. I look forward to watching their new adventures and you and Keith as solo sailors as well! You've got this! I hope to see you out on the water!! ⛵
California checking in 😊 Jack playing the Rain Song, I’ve been listening to that a lot lately. Just as your family is going through big changes so is ours, we have four boys, men in ages, boys in spirit and personality. Like my mom told me about being a parent, it’s never over 😮😊
This is such a bittersweet video knowing that the kids are going to be going off on their own as adults. I decided to go back and rewatch from the beginning for old times sakes. I hope you guys (Renee and Keith) continue on sailing the Zatara. Thursdays just won't be the same without you!
Cabrinha Giveaway Kite Size 14m You guys are awesome!! Thank you for being one of the most real and engaging sailing channels on RU-vid. You offer an escape and inspiration to my family to one day chase the same dream. I hope this giveaway will give my family the opportunity to start kite surfing! Come out to Puerto Penasco Mexico at some point where the community would love to meet y’all!! Cheers
I grew up spending my summers at Huntington Beach in Southern California. One day me and my little brother were swimming in the surf when suddenly a half eaten seal washed up next to us in about 5 feet of water. It was all bloody and freshly killed. The lifeguard was yelling for us to get out of the water which we did rather quickly. As we reached the shore we turned around and witnessed the fin of a shark approaching the remains of the dead seal. As it grabbed the seal with gnashing teeth the lifeguard uttered the words Great White 🦈 I'll never forget that experience and how close I came to being a Great Whites lunch. Gnarly! 🤙
Hello from California. Hope you get over this way someday for a meetup. I’ve been watching your videos over the past year and have loved watching your family travel the world
You have such a beautiful family! You are all truly talented in your own unique ways! The bond you all share together is inspiring! God Bless you and your family for sharing your experiences and journey with us!
Another amazing video Renee! The Bahamas is just so beautiful and you did a great job showing that in this video. Thank you for taking my mind off the snow and freezing temps for 24 mins!
Aloha Renee, from Kauai Hawaii! My husband and I love the channel and watching boat life! I get seasick easily so I have to experience through your lens. If you’re ever sailing past Kauai give a shout out! Aloha, Danielle & Ed!
Keith and Renee, you are truly the most amazing parents and have provided the most remarkable life for your kids. Everything from the adventures that you have provided to them, to the fantastic example of independent, self sufficient living, encompass everything that ALL parents should give provide for their children. I live vicariously through your videos. The most I can afford is a few weeks of camping each year with my daughter, but I wouldn't trade those moments with her for anything. Thank you for sharing your inspirational videos.
Have watched your adventures for a couple years, and I am in California!! IN fact I watch all your adventures, sons and others you have had as guests. BTW that largest shark looks to have a hook in it's mouth! Cheers, Los Angeles
Nice seeing Jack teaming up with Cabrinha. Their like the Ferrari of kites. My buddies been flying them for 20+ years already. Them kids faces swimming with them sharks was funny. Are we friends or food tonight lololol

Cabrinha Giveaway!!! 9m kite would be amazing! Would love to show my friends some cool tricks! Thank you for the opportunity! Much love from your home town! Texassssss ☺️☺️☺️
So much fun following you all. That was some beautiful looking water and beaches. Kate is going to be a pro at scuba diving. Seems she on top of it all. Be safe and have fun. Can’t wait for the next episode.
Definitely come to California but stay away from Los Angeles and San Francisco! Newport Beach and Dana Point are great options with annual boat shows. We experience our sailing dreams vicariously through all of you! Thank you for being you! ❤
Cabrinha giveaway - 11m kite, I have been watching for many years can't wait for Finn to go off and do his own thing love watch Finn and jack make their own content
Hey guys, I just want to say that you are an incredible family. I love your videos. I've been watching you from KSA for like 9 months. Hope one day I will be one of the crew
The Bahamas are beautiful! Such a special moment with the sharks wow, props to Kate for just experiencing the moment vs looking through a camera. Thanks for sharing :)
Guys!! This comes at an awesome moment. My kite coach just told me to get my own equipment and go out there by my own already. I actually started kiting because of you. It would be AWESOME to win the Cabrinha Giveaway, as I was already looking to get a 10m Switchblade as I heard is pretty decent for beginners. Cheers!
Thank you for sharing your adventures! I look forward to seeing your videos each week and currently follow each of the kiddos as well. Keep 'em coming!

A seriously good series of videos. Super to have watched your kids develop as well-balanced young people, as we’ve watched them develop and grow - you both have done an excellent job of parenting. Yet perhaps, as difficulty’s it seems, it’s time to let them go (and literally say that on the channel). Together, as a family, you’ve accomplished much, nothing left to prove. God bless you all 🍁
Cabrinha Giveaway! So glad to see two of my favorites doing a collab! I’d love a size 14! Can’t wait to see what three future brings for you all! Love your channel. Renee, your footage is amazing!
Keith - You are such an inspiration to watch, taking care of stuff and not afraid getting your hands dirty ! On top of that great father. Thank you for the kick in the butt that i need.
Starting boat life later this year and a kite would be a great addition! Love watching your travels, it continues to inspire us to move towards boat life. The 12m kite would be perfect!
You know when I see this beautiful place and all the beautiful places you guys go to, I think there is no way absolutely no way all this just happened and came from nothing. Just my personal point of view but the beauty just screams the creator. I’m pretty sure you guys are the same page as I am with that but it’s just so beautiful. I’ve been to the Caribbean and that part of the world is one of my favorite.
Hopefully one of these days can run into y’all out on the water, just me and a cat, and acquired a parrot, it’s been inspiring watching y’all over the years “ Cabrinha Giveaway “ Also from Texas, moving to Galveston soon to be closer to my boat
