Just found out about you in Dave Rhoten's youtube this evening! If I'd know this channel existed, I'd have been here loooong before not. Saw on M'Lady! I'll be watching!
@@Mytoya2 I've been scrolling for quite a few years now, but was never able to take a class. I've mostly done intarsia. I first bought a Lowe's $99 special. After it broke, my son bought a Dewalt 788 for my birthday. What a great kid!!
I said on your last vid that I had bought a Dremel MD20. I have since ordered some extra blades, which are pinned as this is all the Dremel can take, but not as fat as the one you pointed out. The only problem I can foresee is the need for larger interior holes to fit the pins through so I don't think I'll be able to do very fine fret work, not on the Dremel anyway !
Love the Video :) great work! the Humm was killer for audio but all in all lesson learned :) one thing i would add is when you do the sharp turn not just pausing but slightly pull the piece towards you butting the back of the blade into the wall of the cut as you turn. the spinny do if your not fast enough with it will cause the blade to cut into the work. us Vets can do that new people not so much :)
I only use the thick pinned blades when I cut 2 inch pine derby cars for the children at church. Thank you for taking the time to leave me a comment!!!
@@Mytoya2 I got the Dewalt scroll saw. I was planning on ordering the Delta scroll saw ( a bit lower in price) but Home Depot had a sale on president day and the Dewalt was on sale and was within $10-$20 of the price of the Delta scroll saw, couldn’t say no to that. 😊 I think the Delta was at around $380 and the Dewalt was at $399.
Good morning, I'm new to scroll sawing. I am so mesmerized by your techniques. Can you tell me the company you get your painless blades such as the 5 tpi and the 7 tpi. Thank you and have a lovely Sunday and summer.
In all of my videos I am using a number 5 flying Dutchman scroll reverse. Here is the link to the company I use. It's called The wooden teddy bear. woodenteddybear.com/collections/all-blades/products/scroll-reverse
You would have to contact the company for that information. I've never use central machinery scroll saw. I'm not even sure what it looks like. I have a DeWalt 7788 and delta 20inch. I'm so sorry I couldn't help you with that issue.
Funny that you asked this question. I am thinking about opening a group. I would like to have a group where everyone has to go live from time to time and scroll.
