This man changed things. Running shoes and flat pedals when everyone used clipless, just full send banzai bravery when everyone else was all about pure fitness ( not that he wasnt in shape but still sit him next to john tomac for example ). He inspired countless people to change how downhill was done and he is just a legend let alone the snowboarding and motocross where he was also incredible. What a guy !

This guy was there guy who got me going out to huck myself in everything I could get my hands on as a kid growing up in SoCal. LEGEND. Met him in 1999/2000 in Big Bear for the first time.

I remember the days of walking up the long steep hill to the start gate hungover to fuck smoking a pre race roll up while trying not to chuck my guts up... Lol so stupid thinking about it but downhill was not what it is now. it's a proper cycling sport now where the strongest and fittest win the bikes are amazing peace's of engineering and that's a great thing. I wish I was a teenager again. Differently would of took it more seriously and spent my money on bike parts rather than cider ?

This guy was who I inspired to be for years! I hate that that's nothing more about him anymore. Just cause he was the "bad boy" of Xsports doesn't matter
