Great comparison shave Rick. Between the two, I own the KGC, and it gives close smooth shaves. I’m hoping Gillette sees the need for another offering this year.
Rick, excellent review. You pulled out everything I would have. From what I have heard, pretty much the only difference is the handle. I haven't used the Heritage but I've heard that it is also an excellent razor. I'll have to send you a picture of myself. It is uncanny that we look alot alike. We might be related 🤔
I love your VS shave videos and the 89 style heads are prob very similar but I would say it’s personal preference if you like a long handle heavier razor or a short handle light weight razor. I found the gillette heritage to be too heavy but it does shave well. Maybe try a vs with the blades that originally come with the razors? The Heritage came with the Gillette platinum blades and the king c came with the king c blades. And all I can say about the Gillette “nylon” shave brush is that it is in fact a shave brush lol there is a reason we have “synthetic” knots now. Thanks again Vic
I can get a decent shave with the heritage and a feather blade, but the kcg doesn't work for me with any blade I've tried. It's just too mild for a two pass only shave.
