In this video, I manscape and shave my chest hair while giving you my full review of the Philips Norelco Bodygroom 7100 bodygroomer, Model BG2040/49.
For those of you looking for a manscaping trimmer for use below the neckline that’s sensitive on your skin, this body groom tool will get you the results you’re looking for.
With a dual sided trimming design and skin-friendly contour system, this Philips Norelco bodygroomer is well positioned around $70 to trim, shave and groom your body for success.
The Bodygroom 7100 is an Amazon Most Wished for trimmer. Currently, it ranks at #5, 8, and 12 for the categories of Personal Groomers, Body Hair Groomers and Beard Trimmers, respectively.
The Philips Norelco Bodygroom 7100 is designed for 5 zone body grooming, including the back and shoulders, chest and abs, underarms, groin area and legs.
At one end of this Philips 7000 series body groomer, you’ll find an integrated 32mm metal trimmer and adjustable comb with 5 length settings from 3mm to 11mm for trimming thicker body hair and maintaining longer lengths.
On the opposite end, lies the precision trimmer, with bi-directional trimmers to cut longer body hair, and a foil shaver for close shaving results. This side worked great in shaving chest hair on my body and getting me a close finish.
According to Philips, the flexible 3D pivoting head contours to your bodies every angle and surface and the hypoallergenic shaver foil and rounded trimmer tips protect your skin while shaving.
As far as battery life, the Philips Norelco BodyGroom 7100 features a high-power Nickel-Metal Hydride battery and requires 1hr of charge time for 50 minutes of cordless use.
This body groomer, however, can only be charged in the charging stand and requires cordless operation for its use.
That said, the Philips 7100 Bodygroomer can be used wet or dry, in or out of the shower and can be cleaned with the included brush or under the tap.
Philips Norelco notes that this trimmer is only intended for use below the neckline and is not meant for use on the beard and face.
Overall, if you are looking for a dedicated body groomer and manscaper that will trim and shave while being sensitive on your skin, the Philips Norelco Bodygroom 7100, BG2040 is the way to go.

Your video helped a lot. I got the bodygroom 7000 after watching this. All I can say is wow. Firstly it feels like such a premium device and having all that functionality built into one device is amazing. Wish I had looked into a purpose built bodygroomer a long time ago but happy I finally did and happy I found your channel. That foil shaver feels a lot more comfortable than I expected! Cleaning is so easy and not needing to oil blades is a huge plus!

Hi, Khaled. If you haven't already, I recommend taking a look at my video on the Braun MGK3080 seen here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-6Y5toCfzin0.html. As you'll see in the video, the Philips Norelco Bodygroom 7100 and Braun MGK3080 have some similar, as well as differing features. While the Bodygroom 7100 is a dedicated bodygroomer and not intended for use above the neck line, the Braun MGK3080 functions as a beard trimmer, as well as includes a bodygrooming attachment. It all comes down to personal preference. If you are looking to strictly bodygroom, I think the Philips Norelco Bodygroom 7100 (amzn.to/2EWROf8) is the better option. If looking for a multi-functional trimmer that can bodygroom and be used on the face for beard trimming, the Braun MGK3080 (amzn.to/2WgM0D6) is a great choice. If you like how it's working and the finish it gives you, then there's no reason you can't use it. If you find it doesn't cut as smoothly as other products you have tested, then you should be able to return it (depending on where purchased and their return policy). When I look at products, it's about the result it's providing the individual, regardless of gender. The manufacturers will market this product towards men, however, that doesn't mean a woman wouldn't find it gets her the result she's looking for. Hope this helps! All the best!

Hi, mitsaso. The Philips Norelco Bodygroom 7100 is designed for 5 zone body grooming, including the groin area. That said, when using around your sensitive areas, even the best body grooming trimmers have a chance of nicking you. It really comes down to personal technique and how taut the skin is when trimming/shaving. For example, the skin on the face is tight and a blade can glide across the flat surface with little issue, whereas on our nether region, the skin is loose and susceptible. If we can create a tight skin surface, by stretching the skin, this will create the best case scenario for avoiding incident. That said, the blade tips on the Philips Norelco Bodygroomer (amzn.to/2LoQnfi) are rounded, providing greater protection than some sharper devices. For going into this area, my preference would be to use the Philips Bodygroomer, as its designed for use on the groin area. Hope this helps.
