Ken, I broke my back a few weeks ago and as a wet shaver and regular listener/watcher of your shaving videos, you help me pass recovery time and take my mind off of the pain. With each of your videos I am inclined to have another shave myself using a new combination of shaver, blade and soap. It is amazing how such a simple and common task can be so satisfying. What a nice hobby. Thank you for introducing each of the various products. Your personality is what brings many of us back to the next installment.
Great shave. Speaking of Ferrari, your mustache is similar to that of famous racers such as Richard Petty and Dale Earnhardt. I’m not a racing fan, but those two guys came up in my head because of that uncanny resemblance. Have a great 2024!
Ken I didn't think u would pull of the stache but it looks good on u definitely keep it hope u have a good new year by the way I have a mustache as well
But for different reasons here. I rarely use any type of "splash" but instead only a post-shave balm. On rare occasions, my "after shave splash" is Witch Hazel.
I find that massaging the cream into my whiskers by hand and then brush lathering works much better than trying to put some in the brush. It’s is much easier to add water slowly.
Now you need a paisley shirt and some bell bottoms w/peace belt buckle.... Nice shave off Ken💈💈 Dont forget the aviator's while cruising in the Mustang😉
I had this Proraso set ages ago, I got this gift from my favourite clothes shop that sells shaving products (Proraso) and perfumes etc "The Modern Draper" here in East Yorkshire UK
Nice shave. Have you ever tried shaving a beard with a single edge razor with Feather Artist Club blades? (You must have used the Blackland Vector....) Once you get use to them, I think you might find shaving with a single edge razor more comfortable due to the thicker blades.
Good shave there Ken!!! It’s funny, my wife hates the “just moustache “ look too, but loves goatee, clean shaven or beard. She just thinks the moustache look is “creepy “… 😂
Excellent shave Ken. That Proraso green kit is awesome. I seen something like it on Amazon not long ago. I really enjoyed the DS Cosmetic shave brush you sent me. It's phenomenal.
Thanks Ken, Happy New Year! Great shave, when I came back to wet shaving 3 years ago I watched you and started with Proraso. Many great shaves since. I just got the T2 for Christmas, its a great razor but a little adjustment since the top cap seems rather steep to me. Jumped from a 3 to a 5 trying to find the edge. Great shaves tho. Any flooding in Huntington ?
That's a fine razor to do that with. I used my T2SS for that once. The Parker Variant Open Comb does better for me. Actually the Pearl Open Comb Flexi does even better. It is more aggressive than the R41 to me. YMMV.
Nice shave Ken. I have the Rockwell T2 and it does a great job but, I still prefer my Rockwell 6s best. Love the brush. Have a happy and safe New Year. 👍🎉🎊
The 6S is my daily driver. I've thought about getting the T2 but don't see the advantage over the 6S. I use my adjustables on one setting after I find the setting that works. For heavy growth, the R5/R6 plate is perfect for the first pass. Then I switch to the R3 plate to finish the shave.
I recently tried the Proraso Green SOAP!! Bowl lathering. A christmas gigt from the mrs. Fantastic results IMHO. Zero neck irritation against the grain. No feedback (burn) from the alum block. I was shocked. Is it possible that old school soap gives a better shave than cream. I think so. Excellent results with the Rockwell T2ss set at 4.5 and the Merkuf Futur set at 3. I would dare say it is better than TOBS Sandlewood cream. Amazed.
I've had very good lathering results with Proraso creams in my shave bowl, just an FYI. Very small dollop, lather it up with a 28mm and add a couple drops of warm water to the brush. A similar and very pleasant variation is Bigelow's Cream in a tube finished off with Osage Rub and/or PAA's "Awesome Sauce". Wishing you the Eucalyptus!
Nice. The goatee part reminded me of one of those lawn mowing videos. You're inspiring me to bring back my soul patch. As long as you're pissing off your wife, you might as well throw on some Old Spice. That Mojo is gorgeous. I wish Gary would start turning fountain pens.
Happy new year when it comes Ken! All the best!!! For 2024!! Will you be doing a review of the Yates winning razor? As I was thinking of one! But very hard to get at the moment!!
Very nice Ken. I have the T2 and love it, very nice and efficient. My wife is from Durham not too far from Newcastle. Hope you enjoy your weekend Atb Paul
Such a great classic Proraso shave. Thank you for sharing your awesome new routine! Informative, calming, and with my personal favorite brand- I use the sensitive skin white line pre-shave, shaving cream and after shave balm to avoid the menthol in the green line
Now all you need is a Red Ferrari 308 GTS Quattrovalvole wearing one of your Hawaiian shirts and i would say you are a twin to Tom Selleck 😂 Awesome Video Ken ✌️
In the begging of the video you advised that you were going to shave the fuzz on your face and I was excited. Then stated that you were going to keep the mustache I then was 🙄, but dang you look really good with the stash!! You look like a Police Detective.
I didn't know Macy's sell them cuse I keep buying them on Amazon the white one vitamin e and oatmeal for sensitive skin no scent in the white tube but the blue and red smells very good! and I bought the art of shaving open comb razer at marshalls for like 15 bucks! and they sell the shaveing cream and spanish to! but Rae u see it their
i have Proraso pre-shave red, white , Blue, great shave video, wow that razor plowed straight through that goatee , hope you have a Happy New Year stay safe, cheers....Peter
Very nice proraso set. Now proraso red also has a pre shave, a nice sandlewood scent on it. How do you think the T2 compares to the progress, or the variant? Just curious as im trying to decide on a adjustable. Again, great shave and have a good safe new year
Fantastic shave using some of my favorite products and razor! The mustache has a WWII British Military look to it and I like it! Cheers and Have a Merry New Year!
Hey Ken thanks for the great video. I got that same razor and I do enjoy shaving with it but I really like the Pearl flexi better. That's just me, the Poroso green is great shave cream but I do find it to be a little overpowering with menthol. You look good with the mustache, just tell your wife you are getting in the Tom Selleck mode for the Ferrari movie. That damn if you don't look just like Tom's identical twin. Happy Holidays and stay safe.
Nice shave Ken, that combo had a lot of feedback! Glad you’re keeping the stache for a bit, as a firefighter that’s the only facial hair we can have, so a lot of us rock mustaches.
Big fan of your channel! You make great videos Ken! I use the Poraso White Preshave ( Sensative), I use it every shave since it doesn't interfere with the smell or texture of all my other soaps. Cheers!
Nice Shave Ken! I just tried the My Blades for the first time today and they’re great! Platinums are nice and sharp but smooth shaving! Proraso Green balm is one of the best balms out there I think, I’ll always use that one! Enjoy the movie and Happy New Year!🎊💈🤘🏻
The My-Blades Silver and Platinum are superior blades. I found the Platinum worked best in a more aggressive razor and the Silver worked well in any type of razor. Very good reviews.
