Exactly tbh the so called modern lyrical rap is wayyy worse than mumble/drill rap in general at least occasionally mumble/trap drill rappers have a decent flow and beat at times compared to any so called modern lyrical rappers that have no type of flow lyrics and any ill type of production is all trash and disposable.

Yeah especially when the music they make is objectively way worse than any mumble rap. These mf rap fast and think that’s all it takes to make good music lol. Meanwhile they don’t ever be saying shit, all they talk about is how other rappers suck, their beats are always extremely terrible, they never do anything original in their music, their production of horrendous, and on top of all that they aren’t even good at the one thing that they think makes them good - RAPPING FAST. You can’t understand shit they say and their fast flows are always just super messy and timed horribly. Use someone like Tech N9ne as an example of a GOOD fast rapper. He is the pinnacle of fast rap that actually has tons of other good aspects, and his music isn’t just about rapping fast. Unlike these guys who don’t even care how the song sounds or if the song is actually good or not, just as long as they can say more words than you lmao
