I was on the brink of suicide when this song came out and then Shawty Lo released "Dey Know" and it encouraged me to pull through and showed me that anything is possible and showed me that times would get better. I've been publicly speaking about suicide prevention across the Midwest region. At every single venue I have played this song. I was deeply saddened to hear the news of his passing. Thank you. Long live, Shawty Lo. R.I.P.🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
This used to be my song in high school when I first came from Africa. Now I have my masters and living big people life. Rest in perfect peace shawty Lo.
This song, Throw some Ds, Walk it out, Rubberband man, Stuntin is a habit and THE MIXTAPES! I want someone to tell me if there were any mixtapes hotter then the 2000s! Because they were scorching hit!!
This song brings back golden memories. Every lit black band back when I was in high school used to play this song at football games. It was so much fun. RIP!! Thanks for the memories!
Club Primetime . . 2008. The Eastside loved this shit. I kid you not. I used to drive from Nashville to Atlanta on Sunday . . just to go to Club Primetime on Sunday night.
Man I was like 10 years old living in a town where I was one of three black people. He dropped this and I really felt like I knew that they knew who I was and just held my head up like a king after that. Man R.I.P Shawty Lo...
I just found out this morning about this man's passing. I don't put anyone except for "THE ALMIGHTY" on a high level but I really liked this song. My condolences go out to his family and friends.
crazy thing is this song is better than everything on the radio & in the club today by far...ShawtyLo sounds like a GOD Emcee compared to these new trash azz mumble rappers Lol #RIP
Michael Bazemore i don't know why you'd have to have a Grammy to be mentioned as dying the year you die lol... that makes no sense. Comedians have been remembered at the grammys.. do some googling, it's all politics who gets mentioned and who doesn't
When Shawty Lo died I felt the same way like when ODB, J Dilla, and (from a modern standpoint) Lil Peep died... just so much amazing talent gone.... and so much unique swag and rapperness
Shawty Low may God have mercy on your soul R.I.P🙏🏾you put so smiles on so many faces. The year 2008 the Phi Beta Sigmas anthem and a club banger! This song brings back so many memories during my college years at Florida Memorial University. We would turn up to this song at all frat parties. Man I miss those days if you didn't go to an HBCU you'll never understand. Thank you Shawty Low and a big shout out to the ATL and all the folks down south all my southerners stand up you already know but THEY KNOW! 🙌🏾
