I saw you walking down my street you jump and smile oh so sweet you didn't even look my way you passed me by on that cloudy day At first I knew not what to do so curious, I followed you Suddenly, to my surprise I found myself beginning to cry From my window, you'd gone leaving me here all alone (yeah) Now I'm oh, so sad and blue My mind is filled with pleasant thoughts of you I sit here thinking, feeling oh so low Hoping and praying, from my window (oh)
my dear , i know a well known nationaly sydicated Garage rock DJ that would love to interview your grandpa over the phone, he has in fact interviewed many former members of 1960's garage bands, can you ask your grandpa if he would be willing to spend a very fun and humorous half hour with Bill Kelly on sirious radio part of little stevens underground garage show??
Is your grandpa's first name Mike or Don? I also played guitar in The Shaynes. I wrote the music and played lead guitar on this song. I saw Mike a few months ago in Lancaster.
I love the story the singer tells! He falls in love with a girl he spots while looking out his window! He’s just floored by her beauty and mannerisms! He wants to meet her and make her his! You know something, I can honestly relate!
My friend in New Zealand, his distant cousin was in this band and he too has an original single, should have made the American top one hundred!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Also the number one track from a compilation called "Stompin' Time Again" by X-Bat records in 2000. "You Tell Me Girl" and "Valarie" are on it also. A note on the front of the CD says it's "A collection of Southern Pennsylvania's Greatest Groups from 1965-1974 Featuring the Pee Vee and DB labels" A lifelong friend and huge record collector from Lancaster who has a lot to do with X-Bat records sent me a copy when it came out and I've played the life out of it. There are twenty-six tracks on it and everyone of them are great. You do outstanding work here my friend. Keep on doin' it. Thanks!
I 💘 this, Crewcut Black n White Honest True Garage, Gentle, Yet Eerily Haunting Harmonizing, Reminded Me Of The Squires " Goin' All The Way" 🎶Stage Dive😂🗽
The played a lot in Lancaster, PA area. You Tell Me Girl was their most popular tune. They used to highlight their live shows by playing the crying version of Valerie done by Jackie and the Starlites in 1960.
@@joehuxta5096 All of you musicians from the 60s are legends as far as I'm concerned. This is another good one. From a 21 year old who loves this kind of music.
@@joehuxta5096 I live in Lancaster and got 2 of these 45's and one of another title of yours on Pee Vee in a local record collection. What a find..you guys were great!
