I’m sad that Cinder was sold so young. Taking a puppy from the litter at 6 weeks set her up for bad attitude. From 6 to 10 weeks, puppies are learning from littermates and Mom their limits and what is acceptable behavior. My State doesn’t allow puppy sales before 8 weeks.

The smaller breeds need more time with their mommas! My Breeder only allowed me to take my Marley at 10wks because she was my third Yorkie.

Thanks for showing this adorable puppy. I agree with you about puppies staying with their moms longer. But what can we do except love them. I noticed more 'good girls' and 'you're okays' during the bath, Britney. Good on you. Keep up the positive reinforcement, especially with the babies. I hope this one keeps coming back so we can see her progress with learning the ins and outs of successful grooming. Thanks for your videos. I look forward to each one. 😂

Well, let me just get this out of the way: 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Cinder, the sweet, precious, endearing & SPICY Schnauzer puppy. Biting, growling, & bigger than life itself at the age of 11 weeks! Brittany did another amazing groom, although she did have to duck & dodge getting bitten!!! 😂 [I think there may have been a bite, but I saw no blood!] Cinder got her first groom today, which I think 11weeks old is somewhat early for this. But, she was paired with the right Dog Groomer in Brittany. Cinder tried to control this groom, but when she growled, Brittany growled. 😂 Many times she just pulled away & Brittany had to reel her in. I don't think Cinder could fully appreciate the wonderful hands performing her puppy trim. She came in smelling like cigarettes, but smelled much better after her reluctant bath. Cinder resisted having her nails cut, but Brittany was more than capable to get that done. Brittany did not overwork the young Cinder & chose to Dremel on her next visit. [I am so looking forward to that!] The Sculptress worked some magic on Cinder's legs & feet, making them look quite nice for this young puppy! An outstanding puppy groom done by the very skilled Brittany!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ [With a bite?🤣🤣🤣🤣]

Hi. I've seen you on another fur family site, haven't I? Are you a groomer? I like your comments. Brittany is quite different from some of the other groomers I follow. I really like the information she provides and that she communicates with the dogs.

Man, that owner better start training that pup like a.s.a.p., or she's gonna have major problems with her in the future 😳 If she doesn't, she's looking at a lifetime of vet-assisted grooming bills, not to mention, overall behavioral issues... On a side note: I sure hope she didn't pay too much for that puppy; any breeder that would sell a puppy with a hernia and not having it repaired first, before selling it is a dubious breeder for sure!

OhMyGosh, B, what a job you had with Cinder! Thanks for reminding me why I shouldn't have a puppy. Older dogs, yes...Puppy? Oh no! Working away at learning to groom my 8-year-old Shih Tzu, Squirt, will probably be as much as I can hope for. If I get to where I can do that, I'll be a happy DogMom. Keep up the good work.

Cinder is so adorable. Nice job on the little wiggler. People should not smoke with their pets and children near by. These small creatures are breathing in all that nasty carcinogens that can shorten their life span.

Thanks for sharing and showing the terrier tenacity even at this early age. I would have suggested giving her a full groom even at this age, she needs to get used to it. Where I totally agree with you about correcting a dog when it is needed, today I feel you gave too many "you're okay" (s)when clearly, she was not being okay. This was one of my pet peeves when working as a vet tech--dogs being absolute jerks and owners petting them and saying it's okay. People don't realize they are just reinforcing the bad behavior. It is sad Cinder has to be exposed to owner(s) who smoke--makes you wonder about their previous dog's cancer and if it could have been connected to the secondhand smoke. Well, THAT was a challenge but you met it.. I understand what the vet tech said about you saying you're ok often when bathing but I know that is rare for you to say that when they are screaming in fear. I personally think you did the right thing with Cinder cause she was terrified..as any infant would be. Wayyyyyy to young to be on her own...it is impossible to crate train and socialize at 6 weeks..my English Cocker Spaniel breeder would not release our baby Gypsy to us til she was 10 weeks old.. And omg...smoking cigars around tender young lungs...SOOO awful.. I feel this beautiful pup is headed to a life full of drama. I think you approached this groom with great patience, the right amount of discipline you thought she could absorb and, as always, love and comfort at the right moments.

Sorry. Later in the video, you answered my question about her breed. Schnauzers look a lot like Cairns to me. My Cairn, who passed away at 17, was feisty as a puppy but not this feisty! Love how you handled her. Also, we got our Cairn at 9 weeks not 6. This was one of your best videos.

I got my Crested Powder puff at 12 weeks which to me is better then 8 weeks.He was already use to having baths and being groomed on a table and completely crate trained .What the cost of buying a Dog a good Breeder should put the time into some sort of training before you get your puppy....my thoughts only .😊

Cinders implies burned out fire..... This gorgeous pocket sized pup is developing Fiery.... and is warming up to be Vesta, Roman Goddess of Fire!!! She is so cute and at the... I am going to push every button you have stage and Mom needs to help her cool her jets a bit but keep her confident and a sweet girl. If we didn't see the video and just had sound you would swear she was being murdered!!! Drama queen in the making. Loved the cuddles when she was trembling... Would love to have wrapped her up in a nice cosy towel. Brittany you made my day with your conversation with Cinders and sharing Cinders with us..... Her puppy groom made her gorgeous. Thank you

I meant to say... I have had 6 big powerful German Shepherd, baby sat 2 every time their owners went away, coped with a sneaky farm border collie and a nippy Jack Russell. 16 Greyhounds. My only dog bite was a friend's Patterdale Terrier because I lifted her away from 3 GSDs who she was nipping and winding up!!!!! Hate small nippy dogs....

Why don't she use some scissors to trim the pup's hair around the paws. Some dogs don't like their paws touched. It think it hurting the little pup.

No complaints just facts. She smelled HEAVILY of cigars. Nothing rude about it. If you feel it’s rude that’s your opinion to have. The dog didn’t care so rude to who. 🤷🏾

If you're an animal lover which I assume you are for the work you're doing so it would be nice to be gentler with these small babies. Remember you're 20x bigger than they are and they are scared to death being here especially having to be around strangers. Put yourself in their shoes how would you react being toss around by a stranger and having their face blown at. I'm sure you're good at what you do but just imagine how would you react seeing a groomer tossing your baby around like this. There's ways to manage them without being rough. You're a giant to them and they are deathly scare. Comment from a dog lover especially small ones.

I don't know what you used at the beginning of video where you got it in her eye but not acceptable. If you don't like cigarette smoke smell, it's not your dog.
