And here's my take on Synergy. Tube amp collaborations by some of the bigger names to really take down Kemper as the profiled AIO (All In One) solution. Fender has no reason to collaborate, they are Fender, so they are absent as a collaborator, even though they have preamps like any $ 40 pre-amp pedal bases their pre-amp on. Is there enough of the pie for the others in the module game. Tube amp loyal consumers are going to be tube amp loyal. And the collaborating names are staying the course with their own tube amp builds because they get all of the revenue when they win, none of it when they lose and Synergy module revenue when a Kemper solid state defects over to Synergy tube solutions. Are the collaborators going to put their best efforts into the pre-amp at $ 300-500/pre-amp module. For the rest of us, a pre-amp pedal, be it a $ 40 Joyo or similar is pretty darned close enough, it's 1/10 the price of a Synergy tube module. I think at this point in time, you can get any solid state mp that has a pedal friendly clean. So why chase the Synergy, or even Kemper ? When you "expert" musicians, those that live & breathe gear sales for music stores,they can't tell the difference, just that they may prefer one to the other. And that's where the live venue, even recording, the audience & consumer can't discern a winner or loser, even a preference. Certainly these amp collaborators could do as Orange & Victoy has, come up with a tube/nano tube, even solid state pre-amp pedal and push that out for $ 200-500 just the same on their own clean channel. Put the pedal's pre-amp tone stack into a PA system even ?

@@bluepvp900 I just don't see me paying $ 399.99 for various preamp modules with 2x 12AX7's in it, on top of $ 1.2-1.6K for the base amp. The other solution is the Kemper profiler and yet another is what the likes of Orange & Victory do, a single tubed preamp pedal. And yet another is a solid state clone of an amp in a pedal box. I opted for a solid state VHT Redline V-Four preamp and for under $ 100 it's pretty rich & incredible sound. I could've gone with the $ 30-50 Joyo single amp model pedals or the $ 159.99-169.99. You can see where that is going, you buy the dream amp of your tastes and pedal up. Conceptually, Why am I buying these modules at what a low wattage tube amp will sell for. These work with all Randall and Egnater systems as well which were out way before synergy existed they were the original versions. Get those, save money and more options. Get it modded for two channels and you are done. These are not cheap preamp modules with synergy compare them to original amps, it's amazing. Kemper, just not the same as a tube amp no matter how you try.
