The main problem is our education system which doesn't teach properly about our states and geography. Still, many people don't know that Arunachal, Mizoram, Tripura, and Nagaland are a state of India. Arunachal is one of the best places I have ever seen. In Delhi also I have seen many times people start commenting on people from North-East. Sometimes people are well educated only on papers, not in manners.

I’m Tibetan born in Sikkim, India. Since 1959 we Tibetan are living in India, we face racism whole our life. Sikkim is the best for Tibetan we are respect and treat us equal like local. When ever there is peace protest against racism in Delhi organised by northeast we Tibetan always take part and raised our voice for it. But Lenzing brother do you know Arunachal is the state where we peace loving Tibetan are treated worst in entire India. We are being discriminated by small local organisations, APSU etc Our shops were burned. They call us Chinese, Refugee, non tribal etc. Just last month one local man named Sangay Monpa tribe from Kalakthang went to our refugee camp at Tenzingaon with group of local people. They warned our Tibetan and reminded them that we are REFUGEE. Before last year our Tibetan shopping complex (Takkar complex) was burned in Naharlagan. If you don’t believe then you can see some of those haters in my comment reply, watch out. Our mistake is we work hard and live a nice life which some local alcoholic or gamblers or jealous people can’t digest. My father served 31years in SFF (Special Frontier Force) Indian army and fought in Bangladesh war, My late elder brother served in SFF and fought in Kargil war. I served 10 yrs in SFF, my whole service served in border. Just only in our family there is three members who served in service for mother India. There is at least one SFF man in every Tibetan family living in India. So many our Tibetan SFF brothers sacrifice their life for mother India. Lenzing bhai you are the best example of humanitarian from Northeast. There are many Tibetan who follow you and love you globally. My humble request to you that please through your channel tell those local or APSU that please let our peaceful Tibetan live peacefully. Indian media needs to bring more awareness to north east region. I had gone through and also observed similar issues since living in a foreign country. Growing up I didn't have access to Internet and Bollywood was typically "white washed", so meeting and seeing North Eastern Indians, initially I did not know where they were from until I was able to do more research on it. Even now many foreigners have this stereotypical idea of what Indians look like so it can be frustrating that there is not enough awareness about Indians with different ethnic features.

those kids are far appreciated by the elders out there, idk if this is going to be stop or not but this is us, the people of northeast. Each and every personality holds a great heart & understandable. Nothing but some people always have a lack of knowledge.

Once we also went to Mumbai with two of our brother and sister from Nagaland for Boscoree program from our school Don Bosco School. The people there asked the same question like which happened to you #Lenzingsir and some of them were calling us Chinese and Nepalese 😟#We_are_born_Indian🇮🇳

There should be special lessons regarding NE part of India in the gov textbooks { geography} , towards their traditions and diff tribes among the states I would be more than happy to see that in my siblings textbook we are really lacking when it comes to showing the diversity of INDIA when it comes to northeast part

We also often called all non-traveller Bihari. It's funny NE feels delighted to be called Korean and Japanese but feels offended being called Chinese. It's like we are being racist toward the Chinese. Peace.

It's really sad but I honestly stopped minding when I am called as non Indian. I still remember I was admitted to hospital in Delhi and the doctor when asked me about the place I belong, I said I came from Shillong, Meghalaya. And he told me to go back to my country as the weather must not be suiting me. Even in office, I use to say that I am originally from Nagaland but grew up in Shillong Meghalaya and they would consider me as Chinese, Thai, Korean etc. I use to be aghast that they don't know the state of India whereas, we learnt the states of India starting from class 2 or 3.
