My ex did return after a few years apart. Then left again after 18 months. Just beware. If they left you once, they’ll do it again.

Exes that come back after years probably realized that the grass is not always greener on the other side. They must have got dumped by their current partner otherwise they will not think of you. Sad but true.

My boyfriend came back after 2 years too. I think he suffers from avoidance. I listened and took comfort from you Craig, Coach Margaret, and Coach Victoria. I.loved him all the way through. He seems calmer, and we communicate possibly well because I've learned a lot and understood a lot.

Have a similar situation going on right now but we were together for about a year. Keep calm and take it slow. Keep doing the work on those anxious tendencies. Several women that I have dated during the last year have commented that I am very calm about things. As a former anxious person It's great to hear that and it probably shows how many that struggle with anxiety. You can do it and have a great relationship, with your ex or someone even better.

8 weeks of no contact (my current situation) is hard enough, but two years?! That's just ridiculous. I wouldn't waste my time and energy on someone who needed that amount of time to remember my existence.

Easier said than done. At first I partied, dated and had a lot of fun but I'm still fucked up over the breakup 9 months later. I never would've seen myself in this situation

@@andrim9931 I totally get the feeling as that's exactly how I'm feeling right now. It's not easy and I know these feelings of hurt can continue for long periods of time. We just have to keep going and hope for the best. I too am dating, but I still hope she comes back as my feelings haven't changed and unlikely to anytime soon. Stay strong and just focus on your personal growth in the meantime...

In fact, you shouldn't wait. You should take your time to properly heal and let your brain do its work and stop releasing all of those hormones: imagine as if you just had a car accident and you need 6 months to fully recover: you can't expect to walk or run for a long time. After you start feeling better, you start working on yourself to become better under as many aspects as possible (careful not to overdo and make it an addiction, diversify and keep stress as far away as possible). If your ex comes back, it should be one option of many others; take it casually, no need for spite and resentment, remember that it's their right to not be with you and they don't owe you anything. Taking it casually (abundance mindset) not only will reduce your anxiety (making you feel less stressed), but it will project confidence and make you even more attractive. Commitment and sacrifices will come later when the relationship becomes more solid and secured. At the beginning it's too soon for serious commitment, so take it easy and remember that relationships are supposed to be fun and uplifting, not source of stress and anxiety

I was on a date last night and got a phone call after 3 years from my ex. I was for sure surprised. The only contact Ive had is I still see his parents around our community. His parents adore me and from time to time check in on me.

Hi coach craig. I've been watching your videos for a month now. Im working on being the best version of me. I want to be ready if my ex comes back but if not, im 100% sure that Im ready for the next relationship. I want to be comfortable of being alone that having a companion is just an added bonus. I havent finished all the videos but I have them playing even while Im sleeping. Hoping that my subconcious will pick up your wisdom. Wishing you more power.

One of my ex who dumped me wanted to reconnect and ask me out after 7 years of no contact (yes, 7 years!) Well, I have told her to come over so we can catch up. Ended up in bed. We met 3 times, had sex, and then poooof she disappeared. Then 2 weeks later I got a text "Sorry I was dating a few guys at the same time, and at the end I had to make a decision between you and someone else, so I went with the other guy. Take care! I guess we will never speak again!" I did not even respond to that... 2 years went by, and then out of the blue "Hey how are you?". Okay, asked her to come over again. Again in bed. We met 3 more times, she was chasing me, but I was just not feeling it. So I blew it off. This was ~1.5 years ago. 3 weeks ago: "Hope you are doing well, do you want to meet up?" LOL.

She's using you as her backup & safety net. She settles on you when she's not dating anyone else because she thinks she can do better than you. That's why after 10.5 years she keeps coming back when a relationship fails, and then disappears when she meets someone new

My ex came back after 3.5 months and we are together again but It was hard for me because I had so much resentment that I almost didn't want him back. I still have doubts because he hasn't changed much... I guess time will tell. I know now that I don't need him and I'm with him because I want to.

I have not been allowing myself to date new girls or move on, I can see many women are interested in me for once in my life but I am probably afraid to move on in case the ex comes back even though I realize by now that if the ex did come back I probably wouldn't even feel the attraction for her anyway.......

Maybe you don't. But it just happened and you got attracted to them again. It's not always deliberate like in the beginning.

Because these people haven’t healed and think that the ex is coming back for them, when the reality is they were sleeping around the entire time and have swallowed multiple people in the meantime.

I listen to you but failed to do the work. After many break ups and reconciliations w/i 5yrs. I said to never reach out if they weren’t ready for a relationship, but now I am the one missing them. It’s been 6months now. Only time will tell, but I am one here preaching to do the work.

There is this girl I got to know almost 20 years ago in high school. She was my first real crush and we had a situationship for a while before she left me for someone else. We've had contact on and off through the years. At the begining of 2018 we stopped contact after a really bad argument. I wanted to give us another shot at what we had bit she just wanted a friend. We stopped contact and I went on with my life. Almost 2 years later I am commuting from work, I am at the train station and I get a text from her. She saw me at the train station when her train stopped by. We texted for a while and agreed to meet up the same evening, just to get in bed together. I went home the same night and we talked over the phone a few times after but now we haven't had contact for 3 years. I hear she is engaged now but I don't hold any romantic feelings for her. Life can really get you to some really wierd places. All you can do is enjoy the ride

Is it really healthy though, to want your ex back? It sounds like a romantic idea however the reality is there were reasons why you broke up. Keep this in mind always before wasting more of your life on someone that probably has very different values and/ or life goals than yourself.

Been going through this with DA in and out for 5 years. I do miss being with him but the last 2-3 years I turned it down bcuz it’s not gonna have growth and consistency I can’t. We had like 1 year and 1.5 year separations. DA avoids vulnerability and avoid conflict. the DA brings up my AP and I tend to react and be blunt 🥴. I have my own trauma I need to work on but the pulling back gets me. 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️

I don't see why the end goal has to involve getting another mate at all. why not be with yourself? if someone new comes along, you see how it goes. Or the concept of working on your own mess just to re-attract an ex. I have an ex of 30 years who wasn't willing to do counseling together to help revive the relationship. I'm hoping he's gonna turn himself around. But I can't not live my life waiting for that to happen.

I'm curious it's been almost 4 years since he's been in he's new relationship & just now he's blocked me from he's & he's partners band page i noticed a month ago that had started a band with her so I looked at it sometimes and I have now have2 noticed he has blocked me from the page on Instagram but not on Facebook? Whats going ?

This is never going to happen in my situation. I had a year of no contact until he accidentally reached out to me and I responded so now I have like 6 months of no contact although I did send an apology for scaring him even though I only responded because he had reached out. The apology was for me to forgive myself though I don't really give a f*** about his opinion anymore.

I used to watch coach Craig when I was in my deepest slump. My ex had left me and all I wanted was to get him back. I followed what he said (I also did make mistakes) but I followed most of it, accepted the breakup and no contact. He came back (two separate times actually). It was great but we never solved our issues and now we fight about the same issues once a month. Sometimes it’s just not worth it. If you do get back together think long and hard if it’s actually a good idea. I had most my exes come back. One even came back after a horrible breakup. They all come back at some point

They do, usually. If both parties have used the no-contact period to grow, the reunion can be marvelous. If neither party takes time to grow, or one does and the other doesn't, it will just be a repeat breakup, eventually. No contact should be a time of self-reflection and growth for both parties, and if that happens, with time, the seedling of the first go-around in a relationship can blossom into a very fulfilling act 2. It's dependent on both parties to learn and better themselves. Just because many times they do come back doesn't automatically mean it will be roses and wedding bells. It takes work in the alone-times.

If you KNOW you were great to someone, and they don’t see your value (and want someone else), then I agree. Many people that find my work realize they were neglectful and that’s why she left. That’s an entirely different story!
