Around 7:25, I think she saw all the product left in her client's hair. See how she suddenly covered it up. I am surprised at this, since she is such an 'authority' on hair care.
I kept waiting to see if she would reach the area with all the left in soap on her customer lower right side by ear, but it was left there the entire time. I noticed a lot of hairdressers doesn't thoroughly rinse side burns area on one outer side.
This makes me sad. I have yet to find a natural hair “expert” who practices the basic of basics, such as being GENTLE and PATIENT while detangling like this woman. I’m tender-headed and I get fed up with people rushing the process, tearing my hair out to hurry me out the chair. They don’t even try to detangle in sections. It’s maddening.
@@chestarr21batson46 At 62 you shouldn't be still tender headed. I'm 61. As a kid to teenager. I was tender headed. My hair has always been way below the shoulder length long, and still is. It's called course hair.. Nappy! Is what I call it.That old original straight from the Motherland natural nappy beautiful hair. I use to be so tender head I'd cringe up and follow the comb with my head in pain as I'm getting my hair done. Well an Old School pressing comb beautician got me out of that!
@@elisageorge1798 One would think right? From childhood to now-still tender-headed. Hate bobby-pins, headbands, never wore a wig, weave or braids in my life. My hair has always been long (bra strap). Thick and coarse. Still at this age. Asked many times if it is fake? “That all yours?“. Just a little thinning in the crown. I have been natural and relaxed many times over the decades according to my life style. I just don’t like anyone ripping through my hair with no care. Some are good and some just too rough for me. All good though as I will continue handle myself until I can’t. Ha ha
#FFFACTS Brea B- was thinking the same! Im watching how she handles this lady/ comparing to how my stylist does mine.😧😠 As someone also “transitioning”- with long hair- it’s VERY aggravating to be charged MORE- for being “natural”- then proceed to having your hair YANKED and pulled. If this beautician was in my area- I would book appointments with her (only) FAITHFULLY!!
Say it again about split ends. Some stylist are telling their clients the reason their hair isn’t growing is because your cosmetologist keeps cutting off your split ends. Split ends work like a run in your pantyhose. Cut them off NOW or you will have a head full of dry, frizzy, lifeless, damaged hair natural or chemical treated.
Agreed, I recall asking my hairdresser who had long hair like me,,, you shouldn't be coming in for at leaste 16 weeks if u want it long. These girls who go every 6 8 weeks for trim and colour.... it's never going to grow. Cut the split ends and LEAVE iT ALONE. Gettinga trim every 6 weeks chops your growth clean off.
@Mariah Fox your hair grows from your scalp what does trimming your ends have to do with your hair growing to your butt cheeks. Are you telling me because you don’t trim your ends that’s why your hair is to your butt cheeks. I know other people that trim their end regularly and their hair is down to their butt cheeks. What is the point you’re trying to make. 💁🏾♀️
What is the relation between the *follicle* phases + our genetically programmed telogen and split ends? Human hair grows an average of 1-1,5 cms per month from the scalp. What you do with the ends, completely disconected from the root, won' t have any effect. The follicle actually doesn' t know what' s happening down there😅. It keeps on doing its work and following its 4 phases.
@Indigenous Girl xo That’s cuz the person you know has hair that either grows faster than their rate of breakage, or their hair is so resilient, it can handle not being cut. Some people are just lucky like that, but these people are exceptions to the rule cuz most people need trims and what not to keep their hair healthy.
@@marlak4203 Initially, I was confused by the title of the video until I got more into the video. If you look at the before and after, she did take off about 12" from the woman's hair. Her hair length was to the arms of the chair. It was really long.
@@reneemosley8363 yes when i watched again she took off a lot. You can see the difference at first at the loooong length at 0:00 and then look when the stylist grabs the hair at 1:30. Its shorter there. She then cuts more later on.
Accidental product left behind happens occasionally to even the most experienced stylists. After all we’re all human and not everything can be perfect all of the time. I love watching how this lady does hair and for some reason seeing a shampoo process is so satisfying 🙂
Yes we all make mistakes but making this kinda mistakes is unacceptable. Ppl on here that watch this stylist channel often says she does this all the time, she can get sued for this. Ppl are paying for health hair not paying to get bald edges. No one deserves this.
It's clear to me that you love what you do. Someone does not take the time and energy to LEARN everything they need to know to become an expert in something. You obviously have. That takes passion that only comes from the heart.
Why does beauticians always leave soap on the opposite side of the person head when they're washing it.. it never fails and sometimes I see them leave perm don't y'all supposed to turn their heads to make sure all the soap and perm is out on each side
🤭if you could see me right now… I used to have 1/2 my body on top of my clients rinsing them out. To make absolutely sure I never had a missin edge😂. My clients needed all their side burns💓💖💓
I’m an old women who loves everything hair care, white, black, men, kids, beards, mustaches, all of it. I came across your channel and I just love it, everything is so relaxing to watch. Great job!
I’ve noticed that with a lot of stylists. They ALWAYS leave shampoo in the side burns as well as the nape. That part of the hair is often neglected. That was painful to watch.
I always thought that having a client sitting backwards at the sink was very uncomfortable and hurtful for the neck. The nape sometimes doesn't get washed properly. I have seen salons that have their clients face forward and they get a better wash and rinse. That way they can see the nape and make sure it's washed properly. Just remember that the brain stem is near where you rest your head on that hard porcelain sink.
@@rrasheed9468 the woman had uneven hair and lots of split ends, so Crystal had to start cutting at the shortest place and even her hair. It will grow back beautifully.
Beautiful job but if you can for each client please pay attention to the side burns they also need a good scrubbing you have to get the whole parameter of the head from front back and side I saw that you still left some residue on the sides and that can become very itchy for us overall very nice job 👍🏾
Since this is an older video, you might not ever see this comment BUT I absolutely love the passion that you have for what you do! You explain why your're doing what you do to the clients hair and you don't have an attitude while explaining like one stylist I watch here on YT. Thanks for being so open and receptive to questions on your livestreams as well! If I were in Florida, I'd make my way to chair!
I love when you said they don't look at their clients hair, what products to use and not use. I'm Caucasian and every Caucasian hairdresser I go to all say the same thing on repeat. Its like they've all been given the same manual, it's so frustrating. And whats annoys me the most is they're adamant they're right even though I'm telling them my last stylist said that and it didn't work. I love watching your channel and seeing someone who takes the time to do hair right... its like second nature to you
I find your videos so calming. You do a great (great!) job narrating your videos. Wish you much success, as you are clearly so very gifted. Of course people drive hours to get your stamp of perfection!
I love watching people getting their hair done. I always ask if I can watch when I take my girls to get their hair done... not because I don't trust the hairdresser but because I find it calming. I also love this lady's narrating. Very informational and somehow soothing.
I recently found your channel and have learned so much. I too have suffered from a tender head. It was so bad. I tried many different products but didn't find relief. Then one day my daughter reminded me of my sensitivity to vitamin C. My hands would itch if I ate too much, but I had not considered that it was also causing my tender head. That was it. I cut way back on foods with Vitamin C and my head was not so tender. Such a relief. If I eat too much vitamin C it will make my head itch and then become very tender. I just mention this so if someone else is seeking relief they may want to check into food sensitivities/allergies. Best to you.
It is so so so rare that I watch a hair video and watch to the end but I just keep coming back to your videos. Very educational and great information I don't do hair but I'm natural for some years I need a stylist like you 😩😩😩
Beautiful looking hair for the final shot! I always grin when I see all the very specialized "irons" at work! Amazing! Long ago, my sister and I took turns flattening our frizz on an ironing board, using a regular old iron! We set the heat at "silk" and it really looked beautiful...anyone else remember Breck shampoo? :))
You are blessed. One can see u LOVE wat u DOING...that's important. I can see you are a super hairdresser. NOT many hairdressers put so much passion into a client. Thats why i do my hair myself.
Crystal, I also kept waiting for you to rinse the front right corner of her hair. I’ve never seen a video where you’ve left product on the hair like this. You usually do a very thorough rinse. Her hair looks beautiful and healthy.
Wow, her hair looks amazing! I wish that I could find someone to do my hair, with all of your knowledge and passion. Unfortunately I live in Sweden and finding a good artist is impossible😢. 💕
The time you give plus such positive energy wow i hope they keep those tips coming. You deserve every 20 dollar or more tip for each service!!! I do not know what city ans state you represent, when you say dominican hair salons...maybe somewhere on the east or southeast part of the nation. But in California a silk press starts at 100 ans up ans if you are providing these high quality products for free,,,well lets just say you are truly giving quality spa experience. Im amazed will continue watching and waiting to see if you make it to Hollywood, you are a star in the industry.
It looks Amazing!!❤❤❤❤❤. I would like to know where are you located? I like the way you cut her hair. She had damage but you did not completely cut it off. You gave it just the right amount of trim. You’re not a scissor happy stylist!! There are so many people out here who claim to be experts, but are scissor happy, don’t care enough to study the hair to create a unique style, and don’t even care about the client’s feelings about their hair cut, and lie about their advanced techniques just to charge more money. You are awesome!! Your work shows that you enjoy what you do!!❤❤❤❤❤ You my friend are one of the few who actually care about the customers and enjoy assisting them to get their hair on a healthy path.
Before you did the silk thing and the lady's hair was a tight wave and you twisted it into a French roll to get it out of the way, I thought that it looked fabulous just like that. I hope that she wears it up because with that much volume it was an amazing look.
The Scalp Care is a treatment for dandruff, dermatitis, and you used it to loosen dirt & buildup. You used the bottle nozzle to part the hair & touched her scalp. Set aside. That bottle will then be used on other people, one after another, all with possible issues going on. That's bothersome.
you are amazing, I do wish you were in Canada. I have oily hair and never understood it, thanks to you and your love of hair I understand a bit better.
I like her curls. She has beautiful textured hair, not too tight, which would look gorgeous left curly and natural with some leave in curl conditioner product.
YOU ARE BOMB! We, too often, equate health with length. My hair was down my back and so split and hurt and two weeks ago I got it chopped. I had never cut my hair outside of a trim (that I did my self). At the first cut I felt soooo free! And my hair has never looked better! Your videos remind us at every length there is beauty🙌🏾🙏🏾💕
You are so right, health doesn’t mean length. I cut my hair myself two weeks ago and I feel so good about it. Getting rid of the damaged and unhealthy hair feels so good.
I love your videos. I'm dealing with thinning hair. It's overly oily, and I've dealt with psoriasis of the scalp since I turned 30 (22 years ago). I've tried every product out there to deal with the oiliness. After day 2 of washing my hair, it looks as if I never washed it. I heard that daily washing can damage the hair and cause further dryness if you have psoriasis of the scalp. I wash my hair every 3 days. I've gone so far as cutting my hair down to near shaving short because of the oil content, but that's been years ago. It's now to my shoulder blades.
I loved what you said about knowing your client's hair and current condition. My mom is Puerto Rican and is about a 3B/C with low porosity and fine hair. She has trouble finding black beauticians (she doesn't trust white ones with her, lol) because a lot of times they just go through the motions doing the same thing on different heads which is typically too much for her hair. This client's shine was good, she takes good care of her scalp (that is what gives me shine)! Mine is the same. I may have used a bit of protectant still, but I'm not doing her hair. She just didn't need a lot of product. I typically just use a deep conditioner (Husk or Mielle) and a touch of leave-in like you did here. I focus more on cleansing and stimulating the scalp (I massage my scalp as well for blood circulation) and deep-conditioning. I also use a good amount of sleek and shine protectant when flat ironing my hair and try not to do more than 1 pass. The cut is excellent! Brava! Fantastic job.
I had someone from a place called gs institute and a great clips they do worse than leaving a little product on after a wash so I think from the 10 hours of videos of yours I’ve watched in the last two days is wonderful compared to the mistakes I’ve had to deal with. PLEASE keep up all the great work you do.
