Our favorite maid is a jack-of-all-trades character who can heal, shield, deal damage, and even tank for her team.
She's great for new players who need a little bit of everything early on. She can perform in the later stages of the game as well, but she definitely struggles more than other characters.

Noelle in my opinion is THE best beginner character. Since she does everything, she can fit many roles in the party when as beginner you might not have anything better. If you are under-leveled or under-built, Noelle's shields and healing will carry you through most of the game until you get the artifacts, equipment and characters you want. Defense artifacts are easy (too easy) to get. And while Noelle is free at the beginning, she isnt in the same category as Amber, Kaeya, and Lisa, meaning Noelle appears on banners while also appearing in the Paimon Shop twice a year. So she might be the easiest character to get to C6.

I use her as shield support and she does the job, I started clearing all weekly bosses at lvl 90, specially Azhdaha, without any food after building her up to lvl 80 full defense

I absolutely love Noelle. She's not only one of my fav characters, but also practically carried me through early AR. Once the Opulent Husk set arrived, I knew I had to show as much love and appreciation as I could for her, even pulling the Redhorn to maximize her dmg. I plan to triple crown her once I'm sure I've given the best artefacts I can possibly get

Noelle is the perfect beginner banner choice but she has way more longevity than that paints her as. "Tank" isn't a real role in meta abyss comps, but it's great for all the ways she can keep a sub-optimal squad afloat in the other 90% of the game while you work up to those "assuming best weapon and artifacts and c6 4* supports" spreadsheet teams. She remains my fill-in supporter for when a team is only partly built or isn't quite suited to a boss/challenge. I've been able to squeak through quite a few 2nd phases of max domains to get the most resin-efficient artifact and material drops with her help, to say nothing of all the rock-smashing, knockback-drowning, shield-breaking, and geo-puzzling she's aided with on my account.

Great video as always! Also I'd like to add that her burst, and I think the C4 as well, snapshot defense boosts. So when using Husk and Whiteblind + Gorou, you need to build stacks and buffs before using her burst. She struggles a lot with energy because she doesn't generate ANY particles, so you need a lot of Fav Weapons on her team. When using the Husk/Bolide set, charge attacks are your best DPS, when using Glad or something else, then go for normal attacks.

If you use her long enough, you realize she is super stack in abilities. Only masked behind slow attacks and low NRG Regen.

gotta love noelle, i have be using her as my main since i started playing and recently got her to c6, i have done quite a bit of research into her and have a few things i want to add with her talents and artifacts. starting off with her skill while it has a long cooldown it is actually quite tanky compared to other characters, while its not as good as zongli's shield it can take quite the beating even when making her a dps. her healing with the shield does not snapshot meaning that if you have no husk stacks then it will do less healing tho with burst and skill up it shouldnt matter, and while her c4 scales off of ATK instead of DEF, it also does NOT snapshot meaning if its about to go down then if you use your burst then you will do the max damage of it. next with her burst, it does snapshot your DEF so while you can swap off her to get something up that you may have forgotten if it was a DEF buff her burst will not change until you recast it. lastly is artifacts, when she is at c6 any artifacts with DEF% will be better then ATK% even her bursts lowest talent level of 4, and while this only applies to those who whale or put everything into her similar to myself, if you have her at c6, crowned burst talent, and with an r5 redhorn stonethresher, then flat DEF will actually give more to her damage then ATK% of the same roll value.

I don't have Albedo yet for subdps, but I do have Xiangling and Bennett. I'd be keen to try Noelle - Gorou - Xiangling - Bennett. If I had Zhongli I'd sub him in to shred for both Noelle and Xiangling.

3 Facts about Noelle: The reason WHY Noelle still hasn't been promoted to a Knight. 1. Reckless abandonment Noelle despite being the Most powerful Maid in Monstadt frequently fails to follow orders in combat issued by Kaeya or Amber resulting in her rushing head long Solo into battle instead of as a team this has led To Noelle's defensive geo vision failing her at in opportune moments putting herself and fellow Knights in grave danger. A major incident concerned Noelle running into a horde of Golems, to save a downed knight only for her defensive shield to break at the worst possible moment. It was Kaeya and a passing Bennet that managed to save the latter with Fischl and Mona delivering the final blows. Upon finding this out Jean and Eula gave Noelle a 4hour sermon(lecture) on following her superiors' orders. 2. Lack of Self Preservation Noelle once aided Knights, Adventurers, Albedo & Eula on the Dragon Spire Mountain range however this almost proved Fatal. Eula found Noelle with a high fever showing signs of pre-frostbite had she found her a few hours later she would suffer possible amputations. Noelle was teetering with an almost lethal fever and in a comatose state for over two weeks, everyone wasn't sure she'd live. Klee, Barbara, accompanied by Eula went out to find extremely rare medicinal herbs and rare red wolfhook to Heal Noelle.. that, and Noelle's stubborn will, and geo vision were the only reasons she didn't die. Lisa stated that if Noelle wasn't a vision holder even with Klee's rare herbal medicine Noelle wouldn't have made it to weeks end. Since this incident All of the Captains especially Eula, Jean, & Kaeya have been far stricter with Noelle's lack of self-preservations issues. This entire situation occurred because Noelle is a Hardcore Perfectionist, and she tends to often push her body well beyond it's safety limitations.. an Aspect that frequently gets her scolded by Amber and Kaeya. 3. The written test is extremely complex and has strict criteria(we're asked a few inquiries with the Guardsman quiz imagine answering 500 questions like those, it's a migraine.)Noelle's failed the written exam Six times. You see Klee despite being the daughter of the Monstadt Terrorists jkjk Is actually extremely gifted, and talented child tothe point of being considered a magical prodigy or even a genius, But Klee's case is exceptional, the average Monstadt education isn't enough to pass the written exam to become a knight of Favonius. Which is why Noelle has been secretly taking schooling lessons while off duty from Lisa and at times Klee, in hopes of passing.

Overall good video for new players. You got my thumbs up:) But I just wanted to comment on ATK% sands/clock suggestion: Especially if you have C6 Noelle, then you should want to get DEF% sands instead, even if the substats were slightly worse. The reason is that at C6 and talent lvl 11, for example, your burst converts 127% of your DEF (yes, Noelle's total flat DEF) into ATK, meaning you would end up doing way more damage if you managed to switch all your ATK% stats into DEF%. At first it might seem that with the previous example of talent level 11, DEF% would be only that 27% better than ATK%, but Noelle's base DEF (the number that gets multiplied) is also higher than her base ATK, even with 5 star weapons, so it ends up being even better stat than that. Especially if you're ftp and Noelle is carrying a 4 star weapon, which have substantially lower base ATKs, DEF% might end up being almost twice as good as ATK%. And if you end up investing your freemogems into redhorn stonethresher, DEF% stat would end up being even more advantageous thanks to weapon's passive boosting NA and CA even more based on your DEF. Good rule of thumb would be roughly, that DEF% is 2X more valuable than ATK% (the exact value depends on Noelle's character lvl, burst talent lvl, and your weapon's base ATK, nonetheless DEF% is always significantly better stat). So, when estimating which artifact is better, try to get Crit Rate to Crit Dmg ratio 1:2 with circlet/hat main stat + substats from other pieces, and if one artifact has even half of DEF% value than the other artifact has ATK%, it's probably going to do more damage during Noelle's burst. With Opulent set you don't really want to keep Noelle on field when her burst is not active anyway so it's okay to ignore her weaker normal attacks without burst

You can dash cancel the last shot. The dmg % it gives is pretty good but you have to dash the moment it land and can swing almost immediately

Genshin most balanced 4 star. She heal while she kills. All just by spamming DEF stats. Im AR 58, breezing past lvl 8 world . I have lvl 90s Raiden, Ganyu, Childe, Ayaka, Hu Tao, Xiao, etc but only 1 character stays in my setup and its Noelle. Best girl, always!

Another great pairing for Noelle is Kuki for overlapping healing to make your team very hard to kill. While Noelle is active she will heal Kuki, meanwhile Kuki will heal Noelle while inactive, then add the shields on top of that.

0:40 The actual sentence goes: “A Jack of All Trades is a Master of None; but it is oftentimes better than a Master of One.” In other words: “He who’s good at everything is perfect at nothing; but he’s generally better/more useful than he who specializes at one thing.” I don’t understand why “Jack of All Trades” which literally means “Good at everything” not only is so misused a term ( confused with “technically able to do many/all things” ), but somehow carries bad connotations. It’s a good thing that Noelle is a Jack of All Trades ( especially when all her kit is integrated to work simultaneously and fluidly ). You don’t need a slot for a healer or a shielder as she already does that and good enough at that. 8:58 Not really. It’s a very sturdy shield. I think it’s the second strongest one.

Not even close to the 2nd strongest shield, Layla takes that, then Diona who can heal off field and has much faster shield CD. Then you have Tankfei at C4 and even Thoma if built for his shield.

@@calamitygenshinimpact1255 Theoretically, in terms of raw HP, yes, but Layla’s shield suffers from vulnerability from Pyro, and that’s only the case with full Night Stars stacks, which takes some time to obtain; and as such, it’s probably people will never start with or have the full might of the shield in battle. Diona’s shield has either a long cooldown and it’s moderately decent ( hold ) or it’s too weak and short in duration ( press ), and the ability to heal is related to her burst. Not to mention, Diona’s healing is limited to the area of the Burst, while Noelle’s Healing Skill has no such restriction and affects all characters. C4 Yanfei is too dependent on her Burst ( which costs 80 and has a 20s cooldown, meaning that you can’t fully go HP; you have to think of ER ). And Thoma’s double shield also suffers from the problems of C4 Yanfei, as it’s dependent on the burst, which has a 20s cooldown and 80 Energy cost. Noelle’s is undoubtedly one of if not the weaker support among these characters if we’re talking about support role due to her 12s shield down time and incapability to generate particles. However, in her element, the main carry, that shield scales the ladder quite much, as that downtime decreases significantly and it’s not dependent on the burst. And even if it was ( part of her healing is ), it would be easier to fill up, as it has a lower CD and lower energy cost than most of them. Especially when taking in consideration that everyone in the team in Geo. There’s also her safe guard shield that equals 400% of her DEF and lasts 20s if you screw up and let a squishy character take a hit during the downtime.

Just done upgrading her , she is so cute 💛 she can deal 15-20k dam with sweeping without buffs. It just so hard to battery her 😭 i use ningguang with favonius and nobless , support shield zhongli and yun jin for extra energy with favonius

If you're f2p imo it's better to just stick to gladiators. You get so many of them passively while farming boss ascension materials and Noelle is the only one that can use those that rolled defense. The damage increase from gladiators to husk is not that much so i don't think it's worth strongboxing. The strongbox is much better used for noblesse, vv and emblem.

Emblem is a great domain to farm. You can also just exchange bad Gladiator's pieces for Husk pieces as well.

For some reason a lot of 4 stars have bursts that dont end when you swap out. The one advantage 4 stars have over 5 stars lol

Correction, skill dmg is the bonus to your shield pop when burst is active. The atk bonus converting def is added to you NAs which are geo infused. Nice and clean can only proc every 0.1 sec, so hitting multiple enemies at once will not speed up the cd any faster. For smooth rotations you may want 140-160% er. With Redhorn and Gorou you can sacrifice def sands for an ER sands.

C6 Yun Jun can provide more benefit than c0 Albedo. I find Albedo's flower often gets destroyed. Yun Jin with Fav lance can also provide much better battery too.

Noelle's 4th slam atk is amazing against bosses. You can animation cancel with dodge after the 4th hit. The 4th hit does massive dmg.

I'd humbly beg to differ about not using the 4th attack. It's not mandatory but it can be cancelled. Getting used to it is sort of clunky but it does give that extra edge.

It's good, just doesn't have any AoE if you're fighting a group of enemies. If bossing or just two enemies close to each other is fine. And yeah, you have to animation cancel it.

Is Husk still a better set for her than Marechaussee Hunter when paired with Furina? (Marechaussee 2pc increases normal / charged attk dmg by 15% and 4pc increases crit rate by 36% at full stacks when hp increases/decreases)

@@calamitygenshinimpact1255 Currently I'm using Skyward Pride on her, it's my best 5 star option til there's an Itto rerun. I would use my Serpent's Spine but since you lose stacks when taking damage I think that has negative synergy with Furina.

You know, it's funny because in my Layla video, someone told me that Layla isn't good for Pyro enemies because they break your shields faster and I just assumed this was true. So I asked in the official Genshin Discord, and two people have told me this isn't true. I guess that's that. Sorry for the confusion!

Funny enough, Noelle for the last part where you have to break the pillars, she's one of the best options for it. Just make sure you have her burst. Ranged damage is also good since you can DPS it while it's floating around. Claymore characters can break the pillars easily.

Getting zhongli is kind of a DBL edged sword. Now characters like Noelle and Thoma and Layla are obsolete. Just pulled Thoma too. Sucks he's just a shielder

Not necessarily true, you can only have one Zhongli in Spiral Abyss! So having a second shielder for the other team is always nice if needed. Thoma is great for Burgeon DPS!

My noelle is lvl 80/90 c5 r5 white blind 4piece husk 2k def 1.5k atk 60cr 100cd and im getting 10k per atk……i feel like i should be doing more dmg or is 100cd too low 😅

That CD is a bit on the lower side.

Yeap. Don't need it on a set where the majority of characters that use it only need EM for damage since Hyperbloom or Burgeon don't crit (Unless Nahida C2 but that has a fixed rate that you cannot increase) I have plenty of pieces with double crit rate/dmg after years of farming.
