here is an update about him HE IS NOT DEAD: James is a close friend of mine. I used to work with him. I understand that there are a lot of people who want to know where he is and how he is doing. I don’t think it is my place to give explicit detail, but it is worth noting that he left for a few different reasons, unlike some people trying to pin the one cause that cracked him to “get up and leave”. Financial Problems: He made a LOT of fucking money off of youtube. It almost convinced me to fucking join it lmao. He rode that train of success to the goddamn ground. You need to respect him for that. He was consistently hitting videos in the fucking several millions. Of course all those views don’t mean shit when all of your videos get demonetized. I want to say around upwards of 95% of his videos lost ad revenue when youtube decided they take that fortune. You have to understand James was never in it for the long run. He stayed for as long as he made money. He was probably more tight on money than me from before he seriously committed to youtube. Why did he leave RU-vid without a trace? He wasn’t about to make videos for free, and the donations weren’t exactly making up for all of that previous lost revenue. He didn’t make a “goodbye video” or any shit like that because, well, he isn’t done with RU-vid. He’ll come back one day when he has time and his mental health is back intact. LeafyisHere never made a goodbye video either. You know why? Because they aren’t done with RU-vid yet. Once he finds another job and becomes somewhat financially secure, I’m sure he will be back (Honestly, you try to make videos “for fun” without making money while simultaneously working 6 days a week) No one works for free, especially if that work doesn’t pay off on a corporate platform that despises you. (RU-vid administration). I mean for fucks sake, they accused him of illegitimate subscribers. I don’t think he ever got that RU-vid play button. As for why he ditched all his social media accounts, I couldn’t tell you. He might have been going through some mental issues with family at the time, so that possibly played a role? Maybe he didn’t want to disappoint his fans. My take? I believe he left the way he did to fuck with everyone. He knew that if he was about to leave, he would make it subtle, and he would make it so that he’d be a talking sensation even after he left.
