Hopeful that the loud backlash about She-Hulk’s subpar CGI will actually cause the MCU to tighten it up. They tend to listen to fans more than some other studios. And Rescue Rangers was badass.
@@dazza818 they tend to listen for Future Movies. An example would be bringing back Charlie Cox, Vincent D'onofrio and Anson Mount. Listening to the Fan Castings (Hailee Steinfield, John Krasinski). Trying to fix Mandarin. But changing CGI for She-Hulk would be very hard to do considering they are almost about to release it in August. But one can hope.
I know it's totally out of the question, but I'd love a Holland/Cox teamup movie. Spidey + DD was always one of my favorite teamups in comics: the NY boys taking on someone together, usually more crime-related to give DD a fighting chance as he's not suped. It would be great to see Holland's Spidey do some actual "neighborhood Spider-Man" stuff, and DD could bring in some grittiness. Bonus points if you get Punisher or Solo in there
I really want them to let Garfield have a third movie to close off his 'universe' as well, and have Deadpool in that. Garfield + Reynolds would have chemistry for days.

I prefer the more humanoid She-Hulk. It's how she was in almost all of her comics run. She was less powerful than the hulk but more dextrous and intelligent, therefore her own distinct character and not just a female version of the hulk, which is boring.
I think the She-Hulk effects have to struggle with keeping her attractive looking, and one of the ways they make Hulk and others believable is by piling on a ton of facial detail... stubble, pores, blemishes, skin variations... the kinds of things an entire industry of beauty products were created to hide in order to help people reach what has been set as the attractive "ideal." Keeping She-Hulk's face smooth and even makes her look more fake than the rugged monster CGI men.
It's likely more the case that the model detailing isn't finished yet, so they rendered this out with something that's at like 90% and the finalised versions will be in the show itself.

Like I've said many times before, I think they are scared to go full with the CGI, ala Deadpool 1/2 type of large and fun characters. @@ThreadBomb Don't spend much time around older generations? Everything is about keeping it normalized. Big women, that's an insane oddity that just seems too far fetched. You can change "big women," for anything not 50's stay at home mom. Just look at the older direction we had before in X-Men and certain aspects of Spider-Man. And there is always going to be a dichotomy of people in every generation, but I think the word Boomer has now changed to simply be that type of out look that is derived from thinking that anything outside of normal is not normal. @Karon Nuva Lots of muscle mass and being short would look weird. They gotta keep it proportionate. Unless they're going for a Wolverine type look. Besides, Ruffalo's Hulk is almost always filmed from a distance or outside. Or inside warehouses or large facilities. Even if you look at Professor Hulk, he's smaller than he was in Thor Ragnorak. And his size change was a direct issue for the studio and VFX teams. You can look it up. Seems like She-Hulk's gotta fit into much more of a urban and residential environment. So, she's gonna have to be shorter. Besides, her character bio only has her at 6'7". Most NBA guys are taller than her.

I enjoyed the chip&dale movie way more than I expected. I laughed at a bunch of the gags. In the end I think the main emotional conflict was the weakest part, it was not only something we had seen countless times, but also focused on Chip and Dale and not the whole team. The movie felt like an unimaginative basic script that was decorated with imaginative and funny gags.

I only knew of their existence because as a kid I really liked dinosaurs and so I got a couple of the toys as Christmas presents. And even then, the day I found out there was a cartoon was the day I learned what apathy felt like.
Always frustrated how, whenever Mason talks about League of Extraordinary Gentlemen, he always fails to mention the comic's greatest selling point! To my mind, the most interesting thing about the series is how it's set in a universe where EVERY story in our world actually took place in the League universe, so it's essentially a universe that's in continuity with every piece of fiction ever created, from Alice and Wonderland to Citizen Kane, from Harry Potter to LOST, it's this insane world which literally blends everything into one contained universe while having every fictional character EVER running around interacting with each other, in what's essentially the most complex cross-over of all time. I love the League comics, and I've always felt the universe it takes place in would be super amenable for a live-action adaptation so long as the right people were involved, so I'm feeling cautiously optimistic about the reboot. Forgive me, Alan Moore.
What about fictional universes that would contradict each other? Like a universe where there was a nuclear war that wiped out civilization during the 21st century, and another one where that didn't happen and humanity advanced well into the future to explore the stars? Like Fallout and Star Trek, for example, how could those co-exist in the same universe?

The comics often found a middle ground with those kinds of contradictions by pushing such events further up or down the timeline compared to the time in which those stories were originally set to avoid something of a clash with other works. For example, the dystopic future of 1984 still takes place in the world of LOEG, but in the 50's as opposed to the 80's (as Orwell originally intended when writing the novel), with the regime lasting only for a handful of years before Big Brother essentially imploded. This prevented a clash through the universe representing works that were set chronologically in the 60's without their having to deal with the headache of inserting the more freedom-loving, psychedelic characters who were created during that period into a crushingly dystopic world where their adventures would make far less sense. It's also funny that you mention humanity branching out into the stars, as that's exactly what the final volume of League of Extraordinary Gentlemen deals with, with elements of the Star Trek mythos also being integrated into the universe. At any rate, hope my answer made some modicum of sense!

God Daredevil is one of my favorite shows ever, but it seems like such a waste to just make another one. I was so happy when he appeared in NWH because I thought he would team up with Spider-man or have some sort of film. I am not interested in another season or show that will just be inferior to what we already have. Honestly, I hope Marvel slows down on TV in general, it seems to have just increased everyone's apathy towards the MCU and the movies just don't feel like an event even more.
Can we get an anthropological series on Disney+ called Marvel Vice and it focuses on the underworld of the MCU? We switch between Daredevil, Punisher, Moon Knight and Spider-Man and have team-up episodes!
She-Hulk looks weird next to the realistic film Hulk model, but on her own I really like it, it's expressive enough to not look cheep and gives the show a lighthearted vibe.

If you watch the one-shot The Consultant, it actually says the SHIELD higher ups originally did want Abomination for the Avengers project and not the Hulk. Somewhere something got twisted and they saw Abomination as the good guy and Phil Coulson had to reverse the narrative, I can't fully remember why.

In the post credit scene in The Incredible Hulk, Stark was talking about Abomination, not necessarily The Hulk, joining the team, however Ross doesn't trust Stark and denied him.
SO glad Captain Carter is getting made. I loved the Agent Carter tv show and it got done wrong. I used to watch that show and wish she was super, she and the other spies essentially were, now we get the costume change that makes it a proper super hero show.
I'm sure the rights to Chip n Dale were either in house at Disney or wrapped up with phone calls to Hasbo, Hiam Saban, and like a French owned media conglomerate you never heard of but they own everything.
It really seems like Kennedy just doesn't know what she's doing. Recasting wasn't the issue with Solo, I liked almost everything in that movie except for the terrible "fan service" moments like the origin for Han's last name or how he got his blaster (which I gave zero shits about). Donald Glover was one of the best parts of the film and he was a recast.

The description of The Acolyte sounds like it could be a Bane story. Bane is Canon and canonicaly started the rule of 2 as per Clone Wars and in his books he took the Sith from grand armies and full scale conquest to the slow acquisition of power and subterfuge. The books take place much farther back but I don't mind if it turns out good. Maybe even end with Plagueis finding a young Palpatine.
Carter could be the same one. Have you seen Invincible? Remember the scene where those medics with hyper-advanced tech do all kinds of crazy shit to resuscitate the guardians? I imagine a similar scene happening off-screen in MoM.
Considering that the super soldier serum gives a fairly decent healing factor, this would be absolutely fantastic. You could give her a nice scar all around her waist and use it as an excuse for why the TV stunts are not as crazy as the movie stunts. Writes itself.
They’re spot on about the Rescue Rangers movie. It’s not an A-tier film but it’s hilarious and better than it has any right to be. After this and the stellar 2017 Ducktales, I’m unironically excited for whatever Seth Rogen does with Darkwing Duck.
The 2017 Ducktails is incredibly good! Lots of cross-over with the talent behind the stellar Gravity Falls and Ducktails as well as Owl House and Amphibia.
Chip n Dale did my head in, I had waaaaay too many questions. The two top being A - CnD were invented in 1943, why are they at school in the 80s?? and B - if Peter aged then that means toons can age but we see several characters who are quite old and they don't seem to have changed at all, so how the FRICK. All my other questions are just a (roger) rabbit hole of confusion. I did enjoy the movie for the reference-spotting festival that is it, but the bootlegging stuff was a *horrific* idea. I mean that shit is worse than Dip. Also agree She-Hulk should be more built and the Channel 7 joke had me literally in tears. 100/10.
I ended up watching the new Chip and Dale on a whim and I'm so glad I did. It was miles away the funniest kids movie I've seen in years. Great casting, great writing, UGLY SONIC! Can it get any better?
Ugly Sonic was used through the parody legal loophole. Referring to him as Ugly Sonic every time, using a different voice, and modifying his appearance slightly they're able to claim parody it seems. Everything else was borrowed and or legally licensed with the promise that their characters wouldn't be made fun of. According to Wikipedia this was done because the Lonely Island guys didn't want it to be only Disney properties.
So about Roger Rabbit being the movie character or himself. You do see a bottle of Dip as well, when Peter Pan chooses his torture device (which is an eraser). So maybe it's a sequel. I mean he wouldn't have that to torture toons if it's just a prop used in a movie. The fact that they don't mention Toon Town doesn't mean it doesn't exist (or existed).
Give me captain carter as captain Britain in the mental Alan Moore storyline with “Mad Jim Jaspers” for two reasons; a) it’s one of the weirdest books I’ve ever read and I got the references being English and reason 2) it’ll trigger Alan Moore like nobody’s business and that will be fun to see him complain about the MCU.

Captain Carter as a show seems like a terrible idea. The MCU used to be all about one world with visible connections, but if you're going to need a whole new universe to tell the story then what's the point? What If was one small project, but the understanding was that it wouldn't bleed over.
In The Boys comics it isn't a pill anyone takes they just straight up all took Compound V and have super strength and durability all the time, the entire ending of the comics even hinges on that fact.
I would say no to a Daredevil show, but yes to another Defenders series with more of a slow burn story. Less of an event and more the story of the new York Underworld in a post-endgame world.
I'm trying to remember what parts were dark in the chip and Dale's movie but I didnt find it dark at all. That could also be because I'm american and perhaps im desensitized to things like that but yeah.
