That’s great advice always expect to lose an engine so you’re always prepared! I apply that when driving, I walkways expect people to crash into me, have one hand in the horn, never drive next to another vehicle drive either in front or behind them instead in case the change lanes without checking and always ready to brake and or have space to turn left or right to avoid the crash! Anticipate, Anticipate, Anticipate!

👍 yeah. You can pull over usually. In a plane there is no shoulder. I lost my engine halfway there. Looked for a field, found one & about 40 ft from it vertically a farmer popped up from planting and yelled crossing his arms. Don't land it here. So I pulled away tugged at the engine start. Just in time it revved up and I made a uey and after declaring Mayday on the radio fumbled back to the runway. Did not fly for 2 months . Then I was ok. There's more to it with the instructor.

It is an early morning Saturday, sitting in my chair with a cup of coffee watching your video(s). A typical routine that helps me enjoy my flight simulator in my “hangar (man) cave.” “My home Sim - emulating Cirrus SR22 G1000 perspective” on my RU-vid. I find your videos most informative and educational in the simplest way as you guide your student to understanding the procedure. Easy! I often search through your video “library” to find information on a specific procedure or process I want to learn about. I feel “smarter” after having watched your videos as they are clear, concise, and delivered with calmness, and humor. There are some flight videos on RU-vid that I have watched that have left my head spinning... leaving me confused. Plus the quality of audio and video are not as clear as yours. So, tThanks Yoel for your efforts on providing a really good product. Good Job, Solid Work! Cheers, Ollie

PERFECT!!! Jenny did everything Remarkably Well!!! I'm NOT Certain what we were doing,,, I believe a Retyping. She's such a Completely Great Pilot!!! I take it that She has a lot of time as a Pilot, & it shows! Every GA Pilot needs a CFI like this Guy. Everything that He said & did was based on saving Pilot's Lives, much like what I am pushing for among GA Pilots. If I had the time, I would be in EVERY GA Pilot's Face about the steps to take to become a more Proficient, Safer Pilot!. I'm an LA Area resident, but I'm an Airline Captain, thus I am gone a lot flying Airliners everywhere. If I weren't so busy & if I was typed in Cirrus Aircrafts, I would be happy to fly with you Jenny, alas, I'm not qualified. But trust me, you're NOT A Sliver. Lol! A Great Pilot, Yes! But a "sliver???" NO!!! In The Airlines, we have " Advanced Quality Performance Training," (AQP,) which teaches us how NOT to Kill Ourselves Or Our Passengers Or Our Crew!!! We practice every conceivable scenario pertaining to Emergencies in The Simulators ad nauseum to develop Muscle Memory so that we don't have to think about it if something goes wrong, We just react to it, like "Second Nature." If you have seen the American Airlines 737 that was on the Takeoff Roll, Blew A Right Main Gear Tire, & HowThe Cockpit Crew Reacted, it was beautiful!!! That is what AQP Teaches Us! This CFI is Extremely Good!!! He is preparing you for Contingencies that You will hopefully never face, but you never know. It's like when someone sneaks up behind you & says "BOO!" When The Emergency Develops, That Initial Start, (Like When Someone Scares You,) is The Very Same Reaction That GA Pilots Experience When Suddenly, The Inflight Emergencies Present Themselves. They have to try to regain their composure, then they usually try to assess the situation, (because they're not prepared,) & ultimately they try to react to it I've never❤ heard of it before, but The CFI's Trick of developing the mindset of EXPECTING AN EMERGENCY seems like Very Sound Advice!!! Because most GA Pilots will never have the opportunity or time to go through AQP Training, perhaps this is a great way to be prepared for The Failure & Eliminate The Adrenaline Rush Reaction, & Control The Aircraft All The Way To Making The Emergency Landing! Although I am an Airline Pilot, I'm a GA Pilot & Aircraft Owner Too!!! I'm tired of losing people that I know in Survivable Air Mishaps!!! I hope that this CFI Continues To Teach These Techniques!!! I think that they're truly invaluable to Pilots!!! Jenny, you are an EXCELLENT PILOT!!! I Hope That You Will Enjoy Flying Your Airplane For Decades To Come!!! HAPPY FLYING!!!

Beautifully said. We need people like this CFI. And yes this young lady handled the plane very well. The training will only improve her current skill level and she will do well I am sure of it. Onwards and upwards! 😊

Thanks to your generous content and to Utube for making learning possible and affordable. You managed to make almost 2 hours of video seem like 25 minutes. Wow this CFI is so great at his job plus all the compliments he gave that student I wished I got that much encouragement in my PPL training.

She sounds very smart but it appears she doesnt study enough before the flight. Maybe she has a busy life and packs up flying once she leaves the airport. Please, go all in and put in the time even at home. You will be well prepared and will do very well.

How I felt when getting my CDL and the instructor is watching every thing and when you finally take this huge semi on the highway and the instructor is watching but I know he has no way to control the truck and it's all up to me to keep it in my lane and here the instructor can take over the plane quickly if something happens. This instructor is great he's so calm. Instructors were not this calm in the trucks. Which I can understand, there is no room for errors on a busy highway. I like the way he lets her know when she is doing well. I believe she will be a very good careful pilot. I would feel comfortable with her in control. PPL is on my bucket list.

Quite a lot of comments with a range of thoughts of Jennifer's ability and confidence. I've seen pilots with massive egos as well as instructors and examiners over the years and it brings the worst out of the pilot. As a female pilot myself I am confident this young lady will do well. She will improve with commands and expectations. She handles the plane well and instructor has clearly all the qualities of an excellent instructor. Other instructors would do well to observe what qualities he has they could possibly if not already adopt themselves. Well done Jennifer and thank you for the video

Aviation is a lot of knowledge about flight and about your airplane. You have to study it well to be one with your aircraft. You can not be second-guessing yourself, pay attention to details, and safety cause you never know if that's the day you are going to need to remember everything you have studied and to apply it in an instant. Take Captain Sully as an example. The time from the bird strike to the ditching was less than four minutes at 2818 ft. And that was done without knowing there would be a bird strike emergency and no time to go through an emergency checklist. The instructor asked her about the onboard traffic radar, and she said she doesn't mess with it because nobody knows about it, yet when he begins to explain its use and set up, she says i know that. Flyng is no joke. You must have the passion for it and take it seriously. It's way different than driving a car, Too many factors and variables to consider and error is unforgiving.
