Could you perhaps do one maybe in the North East like Aberdeen to Glasgow/Edinburgh or Aberdeen to Inverurie/Inverness? Possibly in either 170s or hsts?
Absolutely love these types of videos, I couldn't explain why I just do! Please continue making them. (And if you're taking requests, what about the highland line between Inverness and Wick?)
Hi Alex, we don’t include sound in our videos because we don’t want our drivers to be distracted by the fact their voice is being recorded. At the end of the day, this is somebody’s office and it wouldn’t be right to stick a microphone in it.
Thank you for your feedback. There are no plans to change the frequency of announcements on our services which provide vital travel and safety information.
@@ScotRail As an alternative, the microphone could be in rear cab. Granted, there is more than likely a guard there but it'd be the better option than sticking it within the driver's cab. Or, as what may be a better alternative, some calm music in the background would be nice to guide your mind away from the fact there's no sound.
At "6:12" in this video, I found that there was something like a replacement rail in the orbit, but if this is not completely fixed, some unexpected force ( If it comes into contact with the track due to an earthquake, animals, etc.), will it not cause the running train to derail? If it is a temporary installation considering the structure of the train wheels, I am sorry that I posted an extra thing.(Google translate) [Japanese] この動画の"6:12"のところで、軌道内に交換用レールらしきものが置いてあるのを発見したのですが、もしこれが完全に固定されていない状態であれば、何らかの想定外の力(地震や動物など)で軌道と接触してしまった場合、走行する列車が脱線してしまう原因とはならないのでしょうか。列車の車輪の構造を考慮した上での仮設置であるのであれば、余計なことを投稿をしてしまいまして申し訳ございません。
Is there anyway you can add sound to these videos I do love you videos there's no sound at all I really would love everyone who watches these videos of yours would love sound please find a way
I enjoyed this video and applaud ScotRail's initiative. However, it is a bit long at 50 minutes. I know I can set RU-vid to play at 2x speed, but that's still 25 minutes plus dozens of adverts. I recall years ago watching a film "London to Brighton in Four Minutes" or something like that, and wonder if Scotrail could do a similar acceleration? For a while I thought my laptop had frozen till I realised your train was patiently waiting in Larbert station for what seemed like an eternity!
Could the Glasgow South Western Line might be electrified to Stranraer, Dumfries and East Kilbride so that Class 320, Class 380 and Class 385 can operate on those routes.
What is the point of making such videos from the cab when you can't experience all the sounds of the journey. Other RU-vidr train drivers have sound, so why not Scotrail?!
