This is how The Beatles should be remembered. Not with some gimmicky look alike tribute band but by a group of musicians dedicated to recreating every subtle nuance of the original recordings. Just as a philharmonic orchestra is dedicated to recreating Mozart or Beethoven.
In the late '60s and '70s, as a Police Officer, I dealt with a few cases where the family's daughter just simply walked out. Hard as nails, I just dealt with it. Now, in my 70s, to hear this European Band play and sing this song with such feeling, I suddenly "got it", the horrible truth of the song, the appeal of it internationally, the lovely heart-rending melody, the pain and ache and fear of the parents for their "grown-up baby"... and it released emotions that I had held in check for years... and I wept. How on earth does an old song do that?
Laurie Croad it means you're a human being with a heart and as I've always said I still believe to this day that the Beatles were divine intervention. I weep every time I hear this song too. That's why 50-plus years later I'm still listening to The Beatles.

Was there ever a tune written by anyone or group that used a Harp in a song like the Beatles did????? Musical genius's. So melodic, tuneful and a sad story to boot. Sad....

Exactly. How come I've never heard of this band before?? I've been listening to them for the past 45 minutes. Still can't get over how flawless and accurate their covers are.
@@herethereandeverywhere02 They're founded 2014 on initiative of Fred Gehring (the drummer). Their goal is to perform live the albums that The Beatles themselves never did performed live. They did Magical Mystery Tour, Sgt Pepper, The White Album, Abbey Road and at the moment they are touring with Abbey Road/ Let ItBe. They perform the music with the same type of instruments that The Beatles recorded them in the sixties. And that in the smallest details. For instance the bell that The Beatles used in Penny Lane was a bell that was used by the British fire departments in those days. So they searched and found a similar bell. The Beatles used a certain 1959 Fender Stratocaster or a 50's pianola? They searched the internet to find and buy a similar one. Litteraly everything must be as much as possible the same as on the record! The singing, the instruments, the sound. And nothing is digital, everything is analogue. They're great!
@Kevin McGee Check out The Reo Brothers too … 4 lads (sometimes 5 with their youngest brother) at home in their small studio all live no other musicians … an internet sensation … incredible .. they also pay homage to other bands such as the bee gees, eagles, alan parsons, the hollies. wings, s and Garfunkel etc etc

What a haunting song this is by the Beatles showcasing their fantastic range of musical talents. it certainly brings tears to my eyes even at my of 81. Still growing old disgracefully.
Now...I am Liverpudlian and an avid Beatles fan of 65. Usually anyone daring to do The Beatles leaves me offended...that's how much I love them all. However, I love this version...the voices, the harmonizing and the orchestration is brilliant...you are the exception to the rule. Congratulations x
I consider myself a Beatles snob. But this performance is so amazingly close to the original, I’m willing to relent and say that it’s above my expectations. The harp especially sounds like the original recording to me.
I just discovered these guys and am blown away. I can’t stop watching. I love the Beatles so much and these guys have brought them back to live. Bravo!
@@HIWATTSteve this song isn't that hard, the thing that makes it harder is the instrumental part, lots of instruments, but even though, every song is unique because of it's sounding, it would never sound the same as the studio version, even if the beatles had played it live. but we can play it in a pub on the guitar for example, and sound great anyways, it doesn't need to be identical to the original to be good

Can’t believe I will be on vacation during their last show in September where they will perform this song for the last time! 😭 I was mesmerized when they performed it live a year ago.

I am so glad that I lived during this incredible musical journey that is Paul, John , Ringo and George. At 70 years old now they are one of the most incredible successes of life I was able to witness. To hear these songs again with an expertise unmatched just brings tears to my eyes. Yes, I’m 71 and no one can imagine what Beatlemania was. To follow their progression as songwriters because that’s what they eventually were. Until the rooftop they turned into a band one more time.
Lord have Mercy!!! This is excellent, I was in the other room and I felt I was Listening to the Album. 1980 I wrote my term paper about The Beatles. I had this album playing over and over as I wrote aka my Mom's old Underwood typewriter, dictionary and thesareus!

While it is so hard for one to choose one Beatles song THE favorite, THIS very well might be my all time favorite. I fell in love with in from the very first time I heard it. The harp & string arrangements are so amazingly haunting and Paul McCartney's vocal melody and lyrics are a proverbial masterclass in songwriting!! When at my grandma's funeral I heard this music a lady on a harp was playing I was unaware that this was going to be done Her name was Sophia Williams at that time from Miami Florida her husband John had a little trophy shop sometimes they would make the orange bowl trophy for a football game in the usa

Wonderful, what a band. There are many cover bands that play Beatle songs, but these guys are absolutely the best. This song is one of the best Beatle songs there are, All I can hear are the Beales. Paul wrote some of the best timeless songs, he was and is one of the finest song writers.
I Just found out about these guys and their covers of The Beatles. They are simple amazing. The best I have ever heard after the Beatles themselves!...The only group in the world that makes sense to sing their songs exactly like the original ones!

Sensational. Excellent . I am one of the lucky ones who actually went to an early concert , or club. The Beatles were more than a band although a very good one. They were pivotal in the development of modern day music.
