Love it! You can make several of these and place them on your kitchen table. Purchase clear plastic bowls and fill with foods of your choice. Chips, mixed fruit etc. When items won't stick well to metal, glue a piece of felt to the item first! Coordinating color of course. Let dry, then glue your flowers to the felt. TFS!!!
Oh yes. I also want to thank you for taking time to show give us a Blow by blow account of how you did this project and you also let us know what products you were using it and why.
The thumbs up I gave you came after an HOUR of me suffering thru endless buffering sure to a poor connection. I was determined to see what you were up to. Lol. I love the watermelon! It is so summery and pretty. Great job and thanks!
Such a cute idea! I live in Arizona & there's not really a glue that would hold items to anything so I would probably drill some small holes & wire the flowers, ribbons & things on.
Same here when it gets hot everything comes unglued. In winter time it gets so cold things pop off fall apart and paint cracks! In the spring and fall the condensation is so bad I hate to put anything decore wise outside you rarely get more than one season of use out of it.
Or they can just use the teaspoon they've been using. psssss 1 tablespoon equals 3 teaspoons. Then again if they run out and buy a tablespoon to remeasure the dye, they can also use it for the water 96 tablespoons equal = 6 cups.
I'm loving these seasonal decorations- just not something we see in Australia but I am going to start doing it to bring some cheer to the neighbourhood. 😊💚🧡💛💖
It's cute, I might have put box on top of side though, just seems like afterthought or too much on bottom since flowers are same size as bow but I do think it's cute and dying the clothespins we're great idea I wasn't expecting the color to be so vivid so great surprise!! 😎😎😎
Oh my goodness gracious this is the cutest thing I have ever seen! I don't know how I stumbled upon your channel with a RU-vid recommendation but this is absolutely sensational and a must try! I am in Florida too! ☀️🍊
Cute and simple idea 💡. I was wondering what you were going to do with all those clothes pins. I would put 2 of the same colors together while alternating.
To save money, I would have died the lighter color green clothespins first, and then added more dye to it and water if needed, to dye the darker ones. And yes, it would be easier to measure it out with a tablespoon, since 3 teaspoons equals 1 tablespoon. And I think I might altering the colors for the stripes - maybe two dark and then two light or two of one, and one of the other. Especially if I was going to be making multiples of those. Turned out really cute!
Maybe dye isn't as reasonably priced in your area as it is in mine, but the added wait time from only having one container of dye not worth the tiny saving of useing the same container. Plus you are dealing with wood products that are soaking up, keeping color consistency might become more difficult in one container. Useing two containers makes sense to me. That's not the part I'm puzzled over. 😜
I do like pink, and I have to admit watermelon is top of the fruit list for me, but if I cut into a watermelon and it's pink...out to the birds it goes. That off my chest. I'm with you, love this project! There will be one on my front door next summer *mumbling under breath* just watermelon colored. 😂🤣😂
I love watermelon it would be my one thing on a Island. I think your project is cute, really looks great on your door. You are also a wonderful teacher easy to follow. Thanks for sharing your time and talents with me. c. mason 🙂 💜
