I can't tell you the countless times we have been disappointed to the extent that we started making Indian food ourselves at home. Imagine carrot pudding tasting butter chicken put in front of you with a simile..THE AUDACITY!

From having Paneer Tikka Masala that was basically Paneer dipped in what I would term as Tomato pudding to Paneer dipped in Sambaar, we have had it all. And since you mentioned Carrot Pudding, we once had Carrot chunks floating in warm sweet milk in the name of Gajar ka Halwa. That was the height. I always rate Indian restaurants on the scale of Not bad, bad, worse and worst. lol. But honestly, because of Gordon Ramsey' shows and the sheer number of Indian population in the UK we always thought UK has better Indian restaurants. But looks like its the same. Wonder how Australia fares.

@@tejasnatu90 It's just the pakistanis and bangladeshis and nepalis and sri-lankans who open up restaurants with the name India in it and showcase their cuisine as Indian cuisine. Fake will always be fake and hence cannot hold a candle to the Authentic Indian Cuisine.
