My son was into drugs and had demonic experiences. Through much prayer and fasting, also his group of Christian friends fasting and praying, did he have an encounter with the Lord and was delivered!
Jac Marino, I think the thing that I absolutely loved about this interview is the way every answer was related to what the Bible says. You quoted so much scripture and your sweet spirit blessed me as I listened. I've never been drawn to the occult but praise God you were drawn out of it. Thanks for sharing.
I think many of these questions beg discernment. People who haven't dabbled in these practices seem to think the darkness is evident in them immediately... secrets, demons, curses NO! Usually it is the FALSE LIGHT that lures people into these practices and organizations... the quest to "know thyself," revive ancestral (pagan) holidays, commune with nature, seek guidance for your future. They're gateways, and in my experience they plant a dangerous seed while feeling very innocent, fun, even noble. Both dark and false light are the enemy's tools. When I finally saw the false light for what it was, I saw the TRUTH, I turned to God. I love that Jac mentions how these practices affected her relationships. All of the relationships I formed in the new age left me feeling empty. It was all service-to-self and moral relativism, constant recreation. After years, I wouldn't be able to call anyone in my "sisters circle" for a ride, or to feed me if I were sick. Those fruits became evident and everything crumbled dramatically. Praise God! I think about how to minister to people who are deceived. Prayer feels critical. They are essentially under a spell. These new age to Jesus testimonies are amassing online and would be a good place to start. The entire mainstream culture is wrought with occult and New Age. We are called to live lives set apart. Yes, 100% on point! I’m recently out of the new age after 8 years in it and everyone I know who’s come out of it describes it like a spell is broken when you finally see the truth. It’s one of the biggest deceptions out there, and it’s very subtle.
God's mercy provided this. My daughter is into the occult and son into reincarnation. My husband and I are sick about this. And continue to pray for our children.

@@jann4sundown yes, we also speak the Truth to them in love. Only God can open their eyes. So we ask Him to grant them godly sorrow over their sin, repentance and turning to Jesus Christ for forgiveness of their sins. We thank God every day for His mercy towards them.

As widespread as the New Age and witchcraft has been, it is my hope that more and more believers will be baptized in the Holy Spirit and discipled in New Testament ministry-which includes casting out demons-to set people free from those bondages, so that they may grow in the Lord and walk in spiritual liberty.
I saw a demon possessed witch at the library when I was like 10 ~~~. I was walking down looking for books which were on one side and she was there, when I made eye contact with her I just knew inside she was into witchcraft and evil. There was something not human there. Later I noticed that side was witchy books. (eww). Another time I saw a demon-possessed person at the mall, even my friend noticed it. I was just walking in an affluent mall in California with my buddy and some really strange man just came up and screamed like an animal and walked off, like something made him do it. He looked normal one minute, then crazy the next.

The ancient Greek word for sorcery is "pharmakeia" which is where we get pharmaceutical from. In other words sorcery more accurately translates to narcotic usage. I was a drug addict before my conversion. While using methamphetamine I experienced some very heavy and real demonic attacks. Ultimately this drove me into the arms of God. It was the hardest 3 years of my life. My experience was so unlike anything I've ever seen or heard of that I struggle to even put it into words. Any time I've tried to it just falls so short of describing it. Spiritual warfare is real my friends. A had a full circle moment connected to Zoegirl. I first became a Christian at 13, 15 years ago and I after that I used to listen to Zoegirl a lot, I loved them! Then I strayed from my faith for a long time, until this year. I’m 31 now. When I came across Alisa’s work I had no idea she was from that group until a few months later, she mentioned it in a video lol.

I've often wondered about Freemasonry because so many family members are masons. I've seen so many strange things in my life about them that made me truly question it. I came across Atliyan Childs video about Freemasonry and it really answered a lot of questions I had . This lady is wise. I woke up to the lies in my twenties and to the Full Truth in my 40s. As a young guy who was immersed into demonic music (plenty o' mosh pits) and disassociative substances, this young lady is spot on. As a Catholic, which I am aware there is some Protestant antipathy, I wish and pray for you all in getting people to know Christ the King. I am not surprised to hear that Jac suffered from PTSD after leaving her order based in Freemasonry. I am an ex-Mormon Christian who nowadays, do outreach to the LDS people. The rituals that are performed in the Mormon temples were originally from Freemasonry. Joseph Smith, the church’s founder, was a Mason, as well as other top leadership men in the church. Until 1989, the endowment ceremony, which is the personal oaths one has to take in the LDS temple in order to progress spiritually, one had to pantomime cutting their own throats, and disemboweling themselves, as part of the the penalty if they were to ever reveal the tokens, signs and passwords of their covenants with the Mormon deity. Nowadays, the word “penalty” is still mentioned, but it is no longer detailed, as it was causing many members to understandably, fear attending temple sessions, which they are expected to do regularly. Jac said it very well when she mentioned the need for us to know the Bible, in order to discern the many forms Satan takes to lead people away from Christ.

@gopapillon What do you mean by that? You think you were attacked by members of the LDS church? I think that some LDS members are still masons but I wouldn't know percentage wise, how that would reflect in numbers. If we are indwelled by the Holy Spirit and are walking with Christ, as redeemed children of God, the enemy cannot do us any harm because as we know, he is also under God's power and sovereignty. According to my experience, we just need to call on the name of Jesus in times as you described, to have the darkness dispelled and the attack stopped when it is happening. I love how much scripture Jac knows. I have been saved since I was young and still struggle with scripture memory. After having my second child I was introduced to the Eneagram and was told that it was a spiritual discipline. And the first time I heard someone say it had origins in the occult I was resistant to that truth but have since come around. I still have friends who say it's helpful and reject the idea that it came from anything but catholic teaching. I am truly grateful that y'all speak the truth in love. It has been so edifying to my spirit.
As a Christian DND player, there are some pitfalls to DND, but this is under the control of the players. The “magic” in the game goes no further than saying “my character uses [insert spell name here].” There are no rituals, no magic words, no gesturing unless you’re describing the effects perhaps so everyone knows what you’re talking about. DND does not attempt to alter consciousness or reality or call on spiritual entities. The game is imagination-based, but it does not use imagination in a mystical manner (that is, emptying one’s mind or other New Age practices). The benefits of playing are teamwork, friendship, patience with others, creativity, and doing something more mentally productive than watching TV. That being said, some of the dangers include in-game deities and the temptation to live out a sinful lifestyle as a character in the game. Which is why I’ll only ever play with other Christians so that it’s kept wholesome. For those who are on the fence, there’s a lot of leftover uncertainty because of misinformation from the Satanic Panic of the 90s. My suggestion is to learn how to play it first and learn what it’s about or even just watch a video of people playing it like Critical Role, then evaluate whether it goes against your conscience.
Yes thank you so much I was wanting to say very much the same thing. Jac definitely said it well that it is who you play with and taking a realistic look at what is going on in your heart when playing but I cringed at the seeming assumption of evil in d&d. I've always equated it to handling alcohol, if you struggle with addiction to it then stay away but if you use it wisely and with a faithful Christ-centered community you do not automatically fall into sin. I have a group of family and friends many of whom have played trpgs for decades and we all love Jesus and follow historical Christianity. We pray before and after our games and it is a wonderful time of creativity and storytelling and has many times been an outlet to wrestle with deeper emotions and issues in our lives. None of us have struggled with or even engaged at all with the occult despite playing for decades. It saddens me to see the continuation of the Satanic Panic because it is not the things around us but our deceitful hearts that are the true problem. I have also been afforded the privilege of fellowshipping with and, I pray by God's grace, planting seeds in the hearts of those who would never have talked with me outside of trpgs. Trpgs can be a wonderful tool for good and joy if, as with all things, it is used with wisdom and truth.
I agree with you on this. Its just a game. Now if someone decides to live out things irl they have other issues and probably are sinning in some other fashion.

@@christincommon5496 No not at all! Any time we friends gather for any reason we pray before and after. We consecrate ourselves to Christ, his will and for his glory in all we do and say. We pray for the love and grace of Christ to be between all of us as we interact and that our relationships are always founded on Christ and his word. So it's not for playing trpgs in particular that we pray, it is just a habit we as a group of friends have established in our daily lives:)
Thank you for this, I like to ask people questions who say they've had demonic experience to see if I can relate, it shows me I'm not just going crazy with what I was going through when first coming to Christ. Seeing others come to the same conclusion and experiences as me gives me peace of mind. It's very hard to find proper info on the demonic nowadays thanks to most Charismatics and Pentacostals. Thoroughly enjoyed this! ❤ In reference to the Dungeons and Dragons question, the key here is being discerning on what are personal stumbling blocks. Does playing Lord of the Rings video games make you feel uneasy and ask similar questions? Then yes I would avoid it for the sake of sparing yourself from unnecessary temptation. But the thing about TTRPGs (tabletop role-playing games, the genre of board games DnD and similar are categorized as) in general is that they span a huge spectrum of themes and content. There are ones set in space following a sci-fi theme, ones set in the wild west following a cowboy theme, etc. If you don't feel it is a stumbling block but are asking questions in order to discern and navigate what DnD genres or books or similar games are magic-free, the good news is that there is tons to choose from. DnD is just a formula and ruleset to play out whatever story you like and be able to include battles like in video games but with dice, pen, and paper. There are a lot of indie creators making this genre of games as well and I would recommend that vs DnD simply because DnD is very old now and has been reiterized so many times it's very bloated and complicated now in my opinion, which makes it unfriendly to learn for new players. I myself have created a TTRPG that is intended to be very beginner friendly (for anyone curious it is called DICER.P.G. I self published it on Amzn/Kindle) but again this isn't a plug for my stuff just presenting it as one of many great indie created options out there in the TTTPG sphere. Lastly I'll say if you did want to have some form of magic in your games you can always do a Lord of the Rings or Chronicles of Narnia themed TTRPG as those series do not have pagan magic but purely fantasy invented magic from the minds of the great Christian men Tolkien and C.S. Lewis. I hope this comment can be helpful to anyone interested in these types of board games and feel free to @ me if you have more questions! ☺️ I'm a devout Christian who has believed for apx 25 years, a gamer and fantasy fan of just as long, and have served in worship and counseling ministries for 9+ years if anyone is wondering my belief and experience backgrounds.
About D&D, it’s a role playing game and the characters have magical powers. There’s nothing especially occultic about D&D any more than Pokémon, Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings, most Disney movies, etc. Totally agree that we as Christians have more important things to do than get wrapped up that stuff, but at the same time, I know many strong Christians who enjoy playing D&D, and also use that time to minister and even share the gospel with that crowd -and many of them would never go to church. The question about if D&D opens up anything, makes me think of opening up a demonic portal or something, which I don’t think is what happens. Just wanted to chime in about that!

DND was actually started by a Christian! My only caution is about in-game deities since God should remain God of our imaginations. Spell-wise though it’s literally just “your character casts/uses this spell and this thing happens.” There’s no description how it’s done, no powers called upon, etc.
And with regards to "we have more important things to do", that's hogwash. Sure, we could be all work and no play and burn ourselves out into an early grave from stress, but how does that glorify God, who created us to both work AND play? We could stop playing games. We could stop gardening. We could stop watching movies. We could stop reading any book but the Bible. We could stop sleeping and eating, as it's a waste of time, and do nothing 24/7 unless it's praying, Bible reading, praising God, and evangelizing until we pass out, and then immediately resume our holy work if and when we wake up. Nothing is more important than serving God, so if we should only ever be doing the most important thing and not be taking time to enjoy ourselves (even though God was pleased to create us with the capacity for enjoyment), this is the most logical course of action. I wouldn't recommend it. Taking some time to be happy and play with our friends is a good thing.
As someone who came out of the occult to Jesus may I say one important thing that I have learnt. If you give Satan all your attention you are in effect saying that Satan is more important than God and Satan loves that. Give all your love, attention and your whole self to God, every thought, every action dedicate to Jesus (so long as it isn't sin). Satan hates that you are turning your whole self to God and he cannot touch you. Give your mind over to the occult, even thinking about it leaves you open. Satan is completely helpless if you immerse yourself fully in God. Sing hymns of praise, praise God our Father, nothing evil can stand against that. Guard your hearts and minds brothers and sisters, please. And pray continuously to God about all things.
Back in the day, my son joined Demolays (junior Freemasons - Shriners) when a friend invited him. He got out after about a year saying that it was silly - being sworn to secrecy at different levels when what was 'revealed' were things that were in the Bible and not secret at all.

Please, please PRAY for them as wel as try leading them to the Truth, ask the Holy Spirit to lead you in helping them. It’s been said that imagination and thoughts like this are dangerous because you can get carried away and then start playing God in a way by “manifesting” what you want in your life. You are supposed to ask God for what you desire and if it is in His will then it will happen. “Ask and ye shall receive” however we are not meant to act like God by constantly trying to control ourselves. “Let go and let God”
@@carolyncha6911 so can't we ask God and then visualize? Wouldn't we be able to do both? I've heard people talk about visualizing and guided prayer. I've never done it but the people who talk about it are believers whom I trust so I find myself in an odd place.
@@republiccooper um I’m not like a reverend or anything but if you’re asking my personal opinion I can give it. I’m like Jac in that I was into the occult and recently became born again Christian. So yes you can visualize and ask God but I say it’s “dangerous” because you don’t want visualizing to become a practice. When I was in the occult, visualizing was a very common thing to practice to “manifest” and like I said in my previous comment the whole manifesting and law of attraction thing goes against God. Because you are trying to control your life and you are playing God and playing the part of the creator and forgetting God. I hope this makes sense. Visualizing itself is not wrong, but the practice of routine visualizing to “manifest” goes against God. Like I mentioned, ask God for your desires and if it is His will you will receive. But to take matters into your own hand by manifesting whatever you want without involving God goes against Him.

Does Jac have a bible study she would recommend for tweens/teens that are interested in weird things like anime? My almost 13 year old loves anime. I speak to her about what dangers I see in it and she thinks I'm dumb. She isn't allowed to watch many of these things but I won't be able to stop her forever. I need to encourage her to hide God word in her heart so as she grows up and mom isn't dictating her show choices anymore, that she has a solid foundation. Discernment is key honestly. I was and still am a huge anime fan lol looking back I see ones that were bad and I shouldn't have watched and I see others that were very wholesome. It really fueled my passion for art and drawing and thankfully never led me away from my faith. A couple gems that come to mind are Chihayafuru and Your Lie In April (latter one has one scene you may want to fast forward of immodesty with a skirt and wind lol but overall an incredibly moving story).

The question about being truly saved / be forgiven for sinning in a season: from what I’m seeing, if you call yourself a believer, we are called to test the spirits, and know the word of God. Especially someone who grows up as a Christian who decides to knowingly dabble in the occult makes me wonder if they are genuinely saved, because they clearly need to seek Jesus consistently and daily and often and be reading the Bible. And ask themselves: is what I’m doing biblical and honoring God? I think there is a good chance someone may not be saved if they serve themselves and need to repent.
I praise God for your beautiful message of the living Christ Jesus. I do not know if this resonates with you, but as you talked about the allure of going back to occult thoughts, I recognized for me that it is the formula that I liked. For instance, psychology, the occult has life figured out by way of adding things together to an expected result. For me I love spells and horoscopes because what I did then would add to my desired end. Thank God I was disappointed and delivered from that. But one can see how many movements share in it because of it's message, like the prosperity gospel, which is neither. So faith is more than hope on this earth, it is the man Jesus and just as Hebrews 11 exposes the marks in the life of the believer in Him, we too are marked in that same faith. We have much to be thankful for in the Beloved.

That question about dnd, I don't see anything wrong with it, there aren't any real satanic or occultic associations. You can do evil things with anything but there's nothing inherent about rpgs that are evil.
Yeah, there's a reason that people who rant against "that demonic DND" are the butt of jokes along with the anti-Pokemon moms and the lady who thinks Monster Energy drinks are the Mark of the Beast. If DND is demonic, so was playing cops and robbers or the Risk board game. It's just playing pretend with friends.
Yeah, that one made me rase my eyebrows too. Wicca and dnd are two very, very different things. Playing DND in game shops has allowed me to find a lot of hurting people who needs God's love. Like with any other hobby, the danger is making sure it doesn't take so much time that it takes me away from my Bible study or prayer life, but my paper crafting can be a distraction just as much as tabletop games.

QUESTION: Is there an occult significance to receiving a picture frame? by individuals who are into Occultism? I had 3 different “gifts” given me/my family, by individuals who have occultism in their lives. Could this be a form of demonic attachment on an object? I don’t know if there is a demonic significance in regard to picture frames? Weather it’s an empty frame, or a picture of a loved one, in a picture frame. And framed picture of praying hands in copper.

I am sorry that happened to you, and your experience is 100% valid. But as a Christian who plays DnD and similar games I hope it can encourage you to know that there are many gamers who use it with zero occult references or temptations and simply use the rules and formulas to be able to play a board game in a variety of settings and exercise creativity. Discernment and source material are key.
D&D is just fiction. Just like Harry Potter. The problem isn't the fiction, it's the fascination with real life sorcery and ritual magic. If you have a firm grasp on the difference between fantasy and reality, it's not a problem.
Not trying to upset anyone but I would be careful with truth unedited channel I got caught up with his stuff when I first started seeking and there were some red flags.
I would recommend " good fight ministries" they focus alot on exposing certain things in entertainment among other things . " revealing truth" is a good channel as well . ultimately read your Bible and use discernment. Hope this helps

I have friends and family who are believers and who like Harry Potter and believe that if kids know it's "make believe", that it's ok. What do you guys think? Is this about personal convictions or is this going against the Bible? The Bible says magic is real.... Also, an argument I hear is "the Bible says to think on whatever is good, whatever is lovely....think on these things." So when they are encouraged to LOOK at the things behind HP and other magic stuff...this is the scriptures they use to refute LOOKING at the evil behind it....
Solomon or Moses might as well have been Harry Potter so long as we pretend Harry believed he drew his power from the one true God. The problem is really anything in entertainment media is going to have some kind of negative influence so it all depends on how malleable the viewer is. Harry Potter is pretty innocent compared to a movie like "The Witch", where at the end the surviving character has sworn herself to a dark lord and is shown rising into the air fully naked in an emotional ecstasy with other witches surrounding a fire in the woods. Hollywood and big celebrities seem to put out some of the most occult symbolism. No matter how innocent or unintentional or innocuous, any kind of media portraying spells or enchantments or rituals or "secret occult knowledge" is going to inherently groom a person to this idea. I believe since it's nearly impossible to truly shield someone from those ideas in this world the best thing one can do is try to teach their children how view certain things without confusing them too much. One can say that it's all just pretend, or that it's some metaphor for the forces of good vs evil, and the only thing that can truly conquer evil is faith in Jesus etc.. Eventually they will learn where these ideas originally came from etc, and can more or less start putting it all together that movies or other media tend to draw from old ideas in ways which create the most cinematic experience. As they grow even older they might start to recognize symbolism and influence more deeply in all this media and by that time may have kids of their own and have to deal with the same problem.
Doesn't it glorify witchcraft? I haven't read any but that's my impression. I think there is a difference if something evil is portrayed as evil versus being glorified as good.

When we have embraced sin, to truly repent and be freed from it, we have to see it from God's perspective and adopt His opinion. IOW, the things I've done are heinous and made me God's enemy. I cannot believe my willingness to be involved. My thoughts about my sin now are detestable. The problem in our culture is that we don't like conviction. We don't like guilt or shame. We spend so little time in that place and we don't allow those things to work in us to destroy our sinful desires. We want to get on past it to freedom. Yes, freedom is the goal but there is much to be learned in the wilderness before the promised land. Sadly, change of subject. Obedience is required for salvation.. It is the "good works" that God designed for us to do and He will reject us for not obeying. So telling anyone that "salvation" doesn't require anything, is absolutely unbiblical. Salvation requires repentance. "Repent or perish" is not a lie.

@S L Yes, and that's exactly why we were given the commandments. Observation of God's laws purify our nature in order to parallel his. Oneness with God is the goal of creation. This is how it was before the fall of man in Eden. People think that the commandments are some type of strict punishment, but they're actually a precious gift. Much Love and Blessings!
