Just purchased a 3 in 1 because I watched someone make a pizza oven. {OOOhhh yeah}, so naturally I wanted to make my own. But buying a machine and knowing how to use it are not always in sync. I glad that you took the time to show me what and how to use the various features (especially the slip roller).👍
I've had one for around a year now and absolutely LOVE it. I'm very novice with sheetmetal, but learning quick. One thing in learned fast, is straight perfect cuts and bend are not easy. This toll take all the work out of it. Takes a lot of filing out of it too
I took mine apart and polished all the pivots and regreased with "red n tacky", sanded the finger tips with 150 grit then 240, same as the "V"... Now it works much better and doesn't leave all those sharp edges and marks on the bend... Took 2 days but it was worth it.... Building the foot pedal setup now.... Thinking of air or hydraulic assist.
BTW.... I built a Louver Die and "Finger"... Saddles the bottom and locks in with a set screw.. Pretty Trick.. I only made a 2.5" it cuts nice. Used a leaf spring for the cutting steel... Gonna try a 4".... Maybe a 12" like a Model A hood... Just crown the positive die in the middle to make it easier to push through...
@@OldSkoolF wow. I never thought about that. I've noticed a few little touches it needs, but I'm not familiar with it at all or how to adjust it. It doesnt like real long cuts. Acts like the blade needs tightened up. But I mostly do small stuff so it hasnt been an issue yet
Harbor Freight.. there's a dozen brands and I think they are all identical.. but the cheapest is at Harbor freight.. when not on sale it goes for about $450, weighs over 300 lbs.
@@abouttheravadabuddhism An important thing to take into account is that parts are unavailable from Harbor Freight for their 3 in 1 machine! Grizzly Industrial sells several models of them and carries all the parts for what they sell! Deeply guarded secret: if you look at the HF owners manual parts list, and look at the similar Grizzly model (on their website) parts list, they are often the exact same parts list! The only difference is that Grizzly adds “P”, then the machine number, before the p/n that shows on the HF list! Don’t tell ANYBODY I told you that! Ha! Same for mini lathes and mills!
