Many different designs for each type of project are also included. For example, there are hundreds of designs ru-vid.comUgkxb2mhCug-GkCWrq69Ce2I0nM0D4QpxAqu for outdoor buildings, from small sheds all the way up to a complete stable. Choose whatever type of shed or storage house is right for you. Pick from fancy ones or more utilitarian designs.

Those coach bolts are pennies each, less than a quid for 10x M6 from toolstation in various lengths. Great video diary this, i was building my shed at around the same time (although i used cls so massively over engineered) and it turned out pretty close to yours, so I'm happy. Great vids as always Keith, keep them coming! Cheers

Great finish to the shed Keith. When laying slabs a large rubber mallet and spirit level are handy to use.Liked what you did to the finish of the windows.

I'd recommend adding 3 bolts to each of the supporting batons at the back of the door. After a few seasons of getting damp and drying out you'll find that the batons start to pull away from the door and the door begins to fall apart when just using screws.

Hi keith, Only looking at your finishin touches for the shed video just now. the tip imentioned back when you were starting the shed regsrding the slabs works for the paving at the front too. lay 2 lenghts of timber on the outer edges of your dug out foundation at the appropriate height and fall then get a piece of timber as a screed for the slab base. Cut a notch out of each end to the thickness or a bit less than a slab then scrape your sand base out. slabs are guaranteed to sit first time then. becomes a quick job....

I live in the frigid north making the shed design less desirable. Roof pitch for snow. No windows needed. 2x4s more available for price here. Base needs to drain water from thaw to extreme with hill It’s on. That said your design and can-do attitude are more than enough for me to get my own shed going. Planning on a narrow shed that’s mainly to house the snowblower in the summer.

I've got the tongue and groove planks already to make my door for the small shed I built myself. I was wondering how I should go about nailing them onto the 'inside battens', found this video and had never even thought of gluing the battens on first before securing the planks with suitable length screws on the inside. Thanks, very helpful instruction indeed.

Drip edge and cladding is a nice touch too, but I’d use screws cos from experience over time the plastic can get broken/ need replacing (clumsy me or footballs!!) so needs to be easy to remove cladding.

Hi Keith, I enjoy your videos because you show it how it is in the real world. No job is ever going to run smoothly and it's nice that you acknowledge things are not quite right and how you work around them. One thing I notice is how you hold your hammer. If you hold it at the bottom of the shaft you will have much more control and power. It's balanced to make it like that. Just a thought. Keep up the good work. Ps I think if you are able to build a shed, then it shouldn't be too much to design it. So long as you know the basics to setting out the frame. So I would say no to the plans idea.

Nice effort Keith. If you don't mind me making a suggestion, you should consider adding a door stop to the lower section of the door as well, to prevent warping of the door diagonally at the leading edge. And yes a third hinge would be ideal. I've only just started my own channel, so I've got content envy of your great channel. Keep up the good work!
