Another Dandy great job. And congratulations on your son enjoy it . Time will fly by now. I framed for 23 years. Soak your nail punctures in Epsom salt will draw the poison out fish oil on the nails. Will still be sore the next day but not as swollen. You build houses? I did motels, retirement centers, lots and lots of apartments. 243,000 biggest bldg on elevated slab. Great video brother!!
Thank you! Yea I’ve been building for about 20 years now, and yes time is flying with our little boy. Thanks for the advise, I don’t shoot myself often but good to know when you do haha.
great to see the young one out on maiden voyage, congratulations again, that's some deep crap your finding them in lol, keep up the vids love seeing the island bush, shed count is at 7 and 1 dead head for me so far all mulie sheds, heading out for a hunt sunday hopefully find the first elk sheds
Thanks! Nice moves with the mule deer sheds, I’ve always wanted to make A trip to the interior looking for mule deer sheds. Been hunting them since I was a kid but never looked for there sheds.
Just ran into a Bachelor group of 5 bulls that all still had antlers april 3/22 Thought they would be off by now. They where younger, 5x5 etc. maybe that’s why?
Yea for sure, I just picked up a brown that had dropped pretty recently and it was about a 3 year old 6 point. But I’ve seen younger bulls still packing into may, but all the big boys should be dropped by now.
Roughly what area of the island are you shed hunting? So that I can avoid it cause I’m sure you’ve found them all lol wish I could match up antler like you do I’ve gotten 5 decent singles and I’ve looked hard for the matches but nothing. My one 9 point in particular is killin me. Love the videos man you’ve inspired me big time! Any advice on how you match up your sets?
Hey, I’m pretty dang spread out. Kind of have a couple hundred km radius of where I go, but mostly mid to north island. From east to west coast. Right on I love hearing people getting after it out there, it’s not easy walking around and putting in time in our Vancouver island rain forest, but it’s so exiting when you find them. And in terms of finding matches I try and determine there direction and reason for being in that spot, weather they are hanging out or passing through. And I swear by fat maps. I always have it on when I’m out there, and always have the track on so I can monitor where I’ve been and keep my griding lines tight. And other then that be stobborn and don’t give up. Thanks for the positive input and I’ll keep putting the vids out 👍
If you’re wanting to clean up those antlers I’ve got a good system to restore them it looks legit. I mix used coffee grounds one pots worth with garden soil mud rub it all over until it fully dries. Then with a stiff brush and my hands take the mud off but it’s left looking kind of dirty so after I take a black sock and put olive oil on it and rub the chucks of mud off but it gives it that deep dark look without it being shinny. I just restored a 3 year old shed it looks like it’s from this season had to share it with ya
@@jacksonlay1315 that’s for the tip, I’ve been using potassium promaginate and water. But don’t quite have the time to fix them up and find them to atm hah but when I start getting into fixing them I’ll give that method a go for sure!
I’m still not sure what my plan is for them, I’ve got a few ideas. And I pulled the set out with me, haha they gotta be pretty bad for me not to haul out.
