Was lucky enough to visit with Donna at her studio while visiting beautiful Shetland this summer. Her yarn is womderful to work with and her patterns are very detailed and easy to follow. I have already made a Wearing Cardigan and can’t wear to try more patterns. She’s a very talented and welcoming entrepreneur.

What a lovely episode, so interesting! I've liked and subscribed and look forward to visiting again. I'm a small farmer in the US, with a small flock of Shetland sheep so especially enjoyed seeing your sheep and yarns!

So good to see this lovely video pop up and great to see more about the Wearing jumper, it’s my birthday in August and top of my list to treat myself to is your lovely kit to make one for myself. I love the idea of making several in differing sizes. I have your book and it’s so beautiful. 😊❤️

Wow! Donna!!! I was so happy to see you and this little visit. Thank you for popping in and telling us all about everything. The tall ships sound wonderful. I have long admired your wool! A big hug from the very far away Yukon Territory of subarctic Canada.

That was so lovely Donna - I love your patterns but have only knitted one so far - the Toonsmal hat - it’s so snug and cosy and it’s Winter here in Tasmania at the moment! So I live on an island too - just at the other end of the world 😂

Hello from The Netherlands. Visiting the Shetland Island has always been a dream of mine. I used to bottle feed lambs for a sheep farmer on our tiny farm. They couldn't drink and he would bring them to us and we could concentrate on rearing them. He always said when the lambs came back they were the healthiest in his flock. It was a privilege to do. We gad to sell the farmhouse because of health reasons but it is something we will always look back on with great fondness! I love to use natural wool and am off to look at your website. I hope you will post more videos of your life, work and the Island. 🧶

What a wonderful video. I’ll be buying 2 of your books - one for me and one for my sister-in-law! My new double treadle spinning wheel will arrive early next week, so I’m looking forward to spinning some Shetland fleece, which can be bought from Alberta, Canada. I know my sister-in-law loves to knit with Shetland wool, so she’ll also be getting some home spun fibre :-). Yours in Gratitude.

Hello from Alabama Donna! I loved seeing some of your Langsoond patterns “live.” I’ve been wanting to knit one of your sweaters/cardigans for a while, and hearing you talk about them helps me decide. I also enjoyed seeing you use your yarn in an Erika Knight pattern. I hope you will do more videos. Thank you!

Hello from Australia. What beautiful colours. We are sheep farmers but not for wool. When you talked about how the sheep come up to you instead of being herded, it reminded me of when we have orphaned lambs that we raise. They are friendly and can cause a bit of trouble when getting the sheep in. They don't know they are sheep anymore.😊 A question. Is there much crocheting in Shetland?

I've actually listened to this twice. The first time I had not seen the book. I then looked up your beautiful web site and looked at your book, then listened again. I love your explanations and stories about the projects you are working on. I look forward to learning more about your sheep and life. I would love to make the "wearing jumper". You make it look so comfortable and yet it has an elegance to it. Diane from Claremont South Dakota

What a nice video! I’m always happy when I find a site with so much good information about your yarn and dyes etc. I knit all the time and prefer the wooly wools rather than superwash. I will look at your website and see what I might need. I do have the Baabel hat pattern and started it some time ago using alpaca yarn that my friends here make in Idaho.
