Come with me while I feed the sheep on the croft in Burra Shetland in the snow, then join me beside the fire while I speak about the knitting projects I have recently finished and the many WIPs I have on the needles. Then join us on a wintery walk to the beach and along the coast near my home.

Donna, if you’ve never knit socks before you have stumbled upon the VERY BEST sock yarn I’ve ever worn! My first pair was the mizzle color, the natural grey, and they smell so wonderful! Made sure to use up every last inch in some shorty socks w/contrast cuffs, heels and toes ♥️♥️🧦

Thank you for the video Donna and what a way to end it with a wintry walk around the croft. Love to see the projects you're working on and I especially enjoy the interruptions from the dogs. Can't wait to get my hands on some of your newly dyed yarn. Of particular enjoyment is listening to your accent. Keep the sheep happy! Sue from Cape Cod, MA

Good morning Donna 👋 So good to see you podcasting! I purchased yarn from you about 3 years ago to make the Brough shawl and its the pride and joy of my collection ❤ We have snow here too in southern Alberta 🇨🇦 but that's nothing new for us 😉 Looking forward to seeing more of your videos.

A lovely surprise to see you this morning, Donna. I wish you would make more videos on your studio, your knitting and Shetland life - but in any case, it would be lovely to see you showing us more about knitting with the knitting belt and 3 needles, as you mentioned! Keep warm.

I'm so glad I stumbled upon this lovely window into your life on Shetland. Your cozy stove sitting area and the sheep feeding and your interactions with your sweet dog already put me in the mood for knitting, but the tour of your WPIs sealed it. Thank you for sharing your creative life with us! P.S. I'm thrilled at the prospect of a video about knitting belts. I bought one last year, but I can't figure out how to use it effectively. Maybe because I keep the working yarn in my left hand? I look forward to your tips!

Hello Donna - what a lovely treat to have a visit with you! I love all your knits and I hope to one day treat myself to some of your beautiful yarn 🧶 your blanket especially appeals to me. My word your animals are a hardy bunch - your chickens were so cute - I’m not sure our girls would know what to do with snow!! I live in Tasmania, the little island state of Australia, so I feel in a similar position and understand the advantages and disadvantages of living on an island 😊 btw my daughter-in-law is named Skye !

Hello from northern British Columbia, Canada. 🍁 I just came across your vlog. How interesting to see anther part of the world. I got excited to see your buggi-flor beanie. I ordered the pattern and made one so far. It would be interesting to see you knit using the knitting belt. I purchased a Gansey pattern book, and there was some information there. I also gave just knit my first pair of socks despite having been knitting for about 10 years now.Glad I’m not the only one
