love that you have chosen to keep your videos informative and haven't folded to the views and subs that come with click bait, gimmicky graphics or making half the video be your kids playing with animals

I'm not a homesteader or a shepherdess, and I don't need to be either one to enjoy both of you, smile during this video, and to wish you, Tess, nothing but His best for you in this endeavor. Thank you, Dan! A Blessed Christmas to you both! 🎄😊

I can’t count how many times I’ve watched the series featuring Tess in the last year. We are 8mos into our adventure with a flock of Katahdins here in Northern Maine (with a view of their namesake.) The book was ordered before the video was finished and we couldn’t be more excited to dog ear the pages, stuff in notes and add it to our ever growing homestead library. Thank you both!

Agreed. I rewatch the whole Tess playlist frequently. Especially about her dairy sheep.

Oh Dan! I thought you at Tess’s and going to plan for beginning with sheep again. I keep hoping you have healed to bring sheep back to the homestead. I am glad for Tess’s success and I am praying for rocket sales! Merry Christmas!

Thank you soooooo much. I have been diligently looking for a “How-To” book on raising sheep for sometime now. I’ll be the first to admit i deal with trust issues. To have Tess, someone I wholeheartedly trust, mentoring not only on RU-vid but in a book as well. How fortunate is that?!!

"101" is symbolic of a college course nuber that always means "basic introduction, no pre-requisites or knowledge necessary". 1 - recommended year 01 - level of detail/ course differentiator "102" means the same thing as "101", both are "the basics"; its just an second introductory course to "101" that has a alternative focus. First semester you take a "101" and/or "102" course, so second semester you can take a "110+" or "120+" course. Freshman year courses are 100-level. Sophomore year courses are 200-level. Senior year courses are 400-level. "Sheep Whispering 501" would be advanced, graduate-level coursework for those looking to do Master's programs. So rather than your second book being called "Sheep Whispering 102", maybe try "The Sophomore Sheep Whisperer", as it seems more aimed at those second year topics... Just food for thought.

Tess / Dan In your book when you talk about hay do you describe what kind of hay you are talking about. I know here in Idaho there a least three types of "hay" (alfalfa, Timothy, and basic cheep grass). In the Midwest when someone refers to hay they are usually talking about alfalfa. There is a big difference between them and the amount needed to get the same basic nutrition and some animals do better depending upon which is used.

Hi Dan, I just watched some footage from the Dougherty's that Justin put out to all of us who can't afford abundance+, and I am really curious what, if anything, you've learned from them that you're thinking about implementing on the Grass-fed Homestead. Could make for a good video I think ;)
