Just 2 days ago my wife and I drove 2 hours to a farm in the middle of nowhere USA for a mini-sheepadoodle. And oh my goodness. She is so sweet. Also she is clearly intelligent and loves cuddling. In fact she is resting in my lap as I type out this comment.
I grew up with an old English sheepdog. Best dog! On the hunt for a sheepadoodle. Can you share where you found yours? Hard to find a reputable breeder.
I have a standard sheepie, almost 5 years old. He is the most cuddly, stubborn, goofy, intelligent, stubborn, mouthy, lovable, active little assadoodle I've ever seen. Did I say stubborn? He's a 6 lb lap dog in a 90 lb body.
My 10 mo old sheepadoodle is so awesome! Best personality of any dog I’ve ever had an I’ve had tons. So human like, smart and silly! I think the breeder is key. I have friends that got goldendoodles from same breeder and met a Bernadoodle at training school too that all share same awesome standard poodle dad. All are great if gotten from a reputable breeder that’s put in the work to get them off to a great start. I have a lazy lifestyle due to health issues and he lays around with my sweetly all day. Late afternoon it’s important I exercise him with walks or tons of ball throwing if I can’t walk. We have people stop us every walk complimenting him! Highly recommend! Just know lots of grooming involved.
Doodles tend to adapt to your lifestyle as they grow older. That’s why are such great dogs! Agree with the lots of grooming but it beats vacuuming everyday and allergies.
I am getting a F1 B sheepadoodle (3/4 poodle, 1/4 sheepdog) in 2 days. As a coincidence I ran into his half aunt in PetSmart today. This dog has the same mother as the mother of the once that I will be getting.
I have a sheepadoo that father was a minature poodle! Weighs 28 pounds. She is not a lap doh but is my shadow. She is loving and extremely smart.Sje loves to play fetch. We could not ask for a better dog and she does not know a stranger she is am excellent watchdog She is a year and a half old and be trusted to be alone all day
I want either a Goldendoodle or a Sheepadoodle. Having owned an OED, I think that I am leaning towards a Sheepadoodle. Both seem to be great dogs though.
Our 3 1/2 year old sheepie is an absolute treasure! Standard b/w colors…..and above the standard stubborn lol. She is the “guardian” of our son and she takes that job seriously. She is lovable to all and is so energetic when it’s play time, also loves other dog and only sees them as a playmate. Only downside is my wife won’t let me have 3 more of them…yet, hahaha. You can’t go wrong if you are looking for a loyal companion to add to the family.
just got a medium / small Sheepadoodle he's 9 months old with no training whatsoever he was originally a kennel dog on a farm but we got him to pair with a 6month old golden doodle who is almost fully trained we really just wanted the 6 month old to have a friend in the house for the times when we are not home we have the space. Just was coming to look up his traits. They both weight about 45lbs atm dont expect either to go past 55. any advice would be appreciated
@Doodles I was wrong on the sheeodoodle he was 19lbs when i first posted .i doubt that he is 20lbs lighter and much smaller then the golden doodle at this point hes 22lbs now that he is being fed properly my golden doodle is 48 lbs at 6moths old.
Love your puppies and larger dogs, wonderful. I wish I could eat them❤😊they are yummy!. I have a balance problem, would this dog be helpful? Are they easy to train and if so do you have dogs trained already
They can definitely be trained. However we see a lot of doodles pulling their owners on leashes so we wouldn’t recommend them if you have a balance problem. Ours also pulls us on the leash.
