I believe that if you're trying to show us the difference between a stock Mustang and a modified Mustang you should use the same type of car so we could really see the different and if it's worth spending the money.

They were not trying to show you the difference between a stock and modified Mustang. They were trying to show you the difference between a C8Z06 and a Hennessy Shelby GT 500...just like the title says. Next time read the title before deciding what the content is going to be.

Notice that they did both races with a rolling start. I'd like to see this same race from a dig, I'm sure that eventually the Mustang would run the Corvette down just not sure it would do it in the 8th or quarter. They definitely handicapped the Corvette as it has superior suspension in every way and getting off the line is what it does best.

I’m sure he knows that but, most runs are on the high way cruising. I love the base C8 but , after it’s 0-60 the car just falls flat. But, if you wanna go from light to light than, the C8 is the cheapest car to buy for that purpose.

I have seen forced injection cars with bald tires, stock brakes, out of alignment, bouncing down the street. Those scare me. You don't have to convert to Race Car, at least Maintain your car before you (stupidly, my opinion) street race.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure they actually did that, but didn't show that in the video, because it would have been a close race, with the Z06 smoking the Mustang off the line, and the mustang taking most or all of the quarter mile to catch up and overtake the Z06!

C8 wins stock for stock on the GT500. I've seen it first hand at the track altho fird guys will tell u different. It takes ford atleast 200 or more horsepower to outrun a chevy.

I've personally never witnessed a roll race between the 2 but there is a video I watched online where they did this race from a dig then pretty much raced back and shelby got smoked..lol. videos there for everyone to see. I realize the shelby has about 100 more horsepower and is supercharged while the vette at this time is still naturally aspirated but the vette is a totally different animal. That race I saw at the track wasnt even close. The shelby went 11.0 and the vette went 10.60s, saw it myself.

If it is like the one the Cleetus video crew uses, it is small and EXTREMELY fast, but they dont have a very long batter life. I believe 10-15 minutes is about the max depending on how agressively it is flown and how fast.

A true test would be get them both to the same weight and hp. But again the Z06 is good and has a lot more grip then the gt500 but they’re two different layouts and weights. That’s the difference. It’s never going to be an apples to apples.

Title is misleading. Should of had stock vs stock then showed the claimed 1200hp that's more like 800 in there.

Hold up. A 1200hp supercharged 5.2L V8 gapped a 670hp natural aspirated 5.5L V8. 🤦It didn't even gap it by as much as it should.

In 2020 when the first C8 came out the GT500 beat it easily....around VIR. The CFTP version was almost 5 seconds faster on a single lap. The GT500 matched a GT3RS and also beat a Lamborghini Hurican Evo $335,000 as tested on a lightning lap. Vett has finally added the power and is good now.

If they're both 1200HP - why is the Stang laying the beat-down on the Vette so bad? I know gearing and other variables - but for the most part it should be much closer than this result. PS. *Hey Hennessey * on a low budget build for a Dodge Durango RT Tow N Go with the 5.7 - which option would you choose... the new Gen 6 Whipple 3.0 or the newly released Magnuson supercharger? I'm reading bad reviews all over the forums lately about the Whip and it only has a 1-year warranty VS Magnuson 3-year.....? 🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁🏁

I am glad that I do not have to buy premium gas for either one of these cars. I have a friend who owns a stock Shelby GT 500 Mustang. If he has "fun" with the car, he can empty the tank in less than 150 miles!

I wonder what happens from a stand still, power is useless if you can't put it down, I remember another comparison in which a lower power car won due to tire spin from the tuned up cars. The rolling start is not a true drag race.

Yeah, which one are you gonna drive every day? I think I can drive to Corvette every day but I’m not driving. No damn GT500 blown up every day.

2 totally different awesome American cars. The ultimate muscle car and the ultimate American super car. Both are bad ass. One brute horse power, the other balance of power, weight, handling. But now there is the GTD Mustang. Much better weight distribution than previously and massive HP
