Hot, swinging, toe-tapping jazz & dance band tunes from the 1920s, on Harmony Records, are featured in this Shellac Stacks Listening Session. I hope you enjoy this fantastic music from way-back-when. Thank you for watching!

Been fascinated with acoustical recordings ever since I started collecting 78s. Really neat hearing the Harmony records - it’s like an alternate reality where they kept perfecting the acoustical recording process instead of going electrical. Thanks so much for sharing!

Another great shellac stacks Jeff! My two year old son watched with me and he was enjoying it and dancing! Show Me The Way To Go Home had me laughing. My point of reference to that song is the classic scene in Jaws. Thanks for, once again, spinning some 78s! Really enjoyed it. Take care!

Thanks for watching and commenting. I agree, of course. Early jazz is fantastic. Bit of an acquired taste, I suppose, but truly great music. Skol! Jeff

That opening number was just so good... I found that very interesting about the Harmony label's... The early electrical recording were not always that good and acoustics often were superior... Hugo Where I Go.. Love it man, great choice.. Show me the way to go home, such a mega classic... Love your story about your mum singing this, yes version different apart from chorus... Making Whoopie!!! Top version!! In a little Garden was another great number with Miff Mole and one of my favorite masters Red Nichols!!! Digger Do just so do!!! What a great selection, throughly enjoyed but had to find the time to sit and listen... Loved all of this and you must do another. I have no requests as I love your selection do more and please give me a link to any I have missed...

Hey, Chris! So happy that you enjoyed the last listening session video. I'm with you, re: Red Nichols. He doesn't seem to get much love or respect in jazz circles. "Unoriginal...Pale imitation of Bix...etc., etc." But I love his playing! Yeah, lots of hot tunes in that last session. Posting the newest Listening Session video tonight. Bit of a change of pace, this one. Hopefully people in enjoy it. Thanks for watching and commenting! Skol, Jeff
