@@StraitHoss Shenandoah is the big leagues. Whether country radio chooses to ignore them and other legends like them makes little difference. They are cemented as one of the best in country music to ever do it.
I really enjoyed them stopping by the diner. Always a pleasure to play with Marty and the boys. Thank yall for tuning in! Warmest Regards, "Sheriff" Jimmy Capps
Once you hear this song you can not get it out of your head. It is truly one of the great ones and unfortunately did not and does not get enough recognition or airplay. Great job guys!
Well not exactly. Only Marty and Mike are the original members still in the band. Ralph passed away, Stan Thorn hasn't been in the band for years, and Jim retired.
😢 This song makes me want 2 cry really hard cause of how badly I treated my adopted mom. I'll do my best in the modern day to treat her with more respect.
It was the day of the Patriots Super Bowl with Tony Eason and this group played….they walked in like they were nothing. Believe me, they are something. One of the best.
I grew up playing drums in the clubs. I started at 7 years old. I'm 40 years old now. I'm retired but I remember playing your music. You guys are still awesome.
Back to the 90s the best country my childhood was full of hank, vern gosdin, alabama and these guys... do you believe me now, who are you gonna blame it on this time, set em up joe, that just about does it, this aint my first rodeo, im still crazy, i can tell by the way you dance, born to boogie, young country, my name is bocephus, song of the south, high cotton, 40 hour week, fire in the night, love in the first degree, ghost in this house, church on cumberland road, next to you next to me, sunday in the south, two dozen roses. Back when country was still counry lots of good memories listening to music with dad and watching cmt and nashville now with ralph emory.
this is country and where we should be .. those harmonies !! are sublime . great song ... just so in pocket ! give me more , i want more of this .. take us back when country was country :-)
This guys are still kicking ass 27 years later! Very impressive, they got it!I’d love to see them in person. I’m 23 so I never got the opportunity to experience this music when it was a new sadly. There was a huge country music renaissance in the early 90s from what I can see. I wish we had one of those again
My wife and I met Marty Raybon at a booth at the shopping mall by the Grand Ole Opry one Saturday. It was He and his son there. He was so down to earth and took the time to talk to us. That night when he was performing we were sitting near the front and he recognized my wife sitting in the audience and pointed to her as he sang this song and smiled at her.
Oh, hell yeah, love the bass line on this. I shared this beautiful song with my sweet woman back in Fargo this morning. 1100 miles away...she loved it!
I propose to my wife in 1999 to this and then fell into painkiller addiction in 2016 and was divorced I come back to this song just to relive the good times what a great song
Shenandoah, you still got it baby....You guys, sound great, and look great. Keep singing. We didn't, know, how great, we. had it, with you great musicians.....
Man, I'd love to go there and eat some country fried steak with gravy, mashed taters, green beans, and home made biscuits. I'd wash it down with a sweet tea and listen to some great music! Thanks for this great channel, I have been listening all morning long!
