well, I do have an idea for a follow-up novella. just not sure when I'll get around to it, haha. I've got so many books I'm working on :) Until I get out more Holmes you can always check out my other stuff if you like www.amazon.com/Michael-Moreau/e/B00BEGX03S
As a self-published author I quickly realized that "sales" were never gonna get my stories out there. Decided to just put it up here for free and let people enjoy. At the end of the day I don't care about making money from writing, I want people to enjoy my stories and it really makes me feel good to know people enjoy them.
As a long time fan of anything & everything related to Mr. Holmes, I have to say this is a most unique and welcome entry into the Sherlockian library! Looking forward to my next find. Thank you for submitting this refreshing story. Question...do you have any plans for future Monster Hunter stories? I'm sure they would be well received!
Honestly I probably wasn't going to, but the reception here on RU-vid has been excellent, so at some point I'll probably at least do a follow-up novelette or something.
Really glad I found this. I read Sherlock Holmes vs Dracula and loved it.. but couldn't find anything like it on YT. Then this just popped up on my recommendations.. so happy I clicked. You kept just enough original Holmes & Watson and then put your own personality on them. Nice.. it reads smoothly and I still feel I'm reading about the same character from the originals and the Dracula tales. If you've got any more Sherlock vs cryptids or vs paranormal.. I'd be interested In all of them.
here is a link to my Amazon author profile. I have not yet written any more Holmes, but I do have a somewhat similar (albeit a little more cheeky) character in "A Case Most Peculiar" which is also a paranormal mystery type book, and also the beginning of what will become a larger series. www.amazon.com/Michael-Moreau/e/B00BEGX03S
This was absolutely AMAZINGLY AWESOME. Oh please please please give us more. I just don't know how to express how incredibly pleased I am of this audiobook of Holmes Thank you so very much!
I do eventually have at least one follow-up idea I'd like to write. It wouldn't be a full novel, but probably a novella. And thank you for taking the time to leave such a positive comment. Know that it brings a smile to my face seeing that people enjoy my work :)
This is a marvelous, entertaining story, featuring Sherlock Holmes as a monster hunter who hunts the hidden monsters who prey on the English people. He makes the acquaintance of Dr. Watson---who is a were-badger----and they become partners. Interesting, well plotted and written, with terrific characters and great story telling. The ending of the story took me by surprise but it was very satisfying. It fact, it was the perfect ending to this entire story. This Holmes is a harder, colder man. He is not the polite, restrained, bound-by-the-rules man he was before he knew about monsters. This Holmes is a man who knows that all bets are off now. He is no longer restrained by social convention or legalities. But he has people he cares for and protects. And he knows how to deal with monsters----whether were-beast or human. This Holmes takes care of business and makes no apologies for it. The book was terrific, the ending perfect. And narration was excellent, really excellent, well worth listening to. I would recommend this book to anyone.
Thank you. I mostly wrote it for fun, as I am a huge Sherlock Holmes fan myself, but wanted to do something wildly different with the characters and world.
Great story! I’ve tried to find other stories about this interesting version of Sherlock and Watson but haven’t found any. I hope you are writing more. 😁
This was a wonderful story. I kinda wish it wasn’t a Holmes story though. The characters were strong enough that they would have stood well on their own. That way they wouldn’t be open to glaring inconsistencies with the established Holmes-Watson timeline. Critique aside, I enjoyed this very much!
glad you liked it. I already have my own mystery series; A Case Most Pecular (The Robert Carson Files) and Sherlock Holmes had just gone public domain back when I wrote this. Being a huge Holmes fan I just wanted to dabble in that universe :)
I wonder whether you might agree that Jack Vance and Fritz Leiber are too often overlooked as masters of sci-fi fantasy? Also, have you read The Island of Dr. Moreau? ... Any relation?
funny that you mention that. I have an honorary doctorate, which I wanted purely so I could be Dr. Moreau. I'm a huge H.G. Wells fan. I have not read any Vance or Leiber that I am aware of, but I'll look them up :)
Just a heads up guys and girls, RU-vid keeps refusing to monetize my channel so any support in the form of small donations (link below) would be appreciated. Any donation of any amount and I'll gladly send you a copy of the ebook :) Also, I am IMMENSELY grateful for all of the wonderful comments. It really means so much to me! Thank you all for your support, knowing you enjoy it feels great. TIPJAR FOR DONATIONS: tinyurl.com/2yutdnfu

Unfortunately no. I am self-published meaning that I am the writer, editor, marketing person, everything LOL. I was lucky enough to have a friend create the cover for me (he's on he's on Twitter and Instagram, @ogrejoe). Basically I make virtually nothing from book sales, so I can't afford to hire anyone for illustrations. I have 8 or 9 books out, but I'm not very well known. Whenever I do have illustrations in books they're "donations" by creative individuals who, like me, just want to share their art.
