I never really listened to Sheryl Crow till she sang Bacharach songs and appreciate her tremendously- she has a hollowness in her voice that carries the beautifulness of the song and range shifts in Bacharach arrangements . She is magnificent
I was born in 1968 and listened to him in the 70’s, like all the time! I remember hearing all his songs while riding in our Winnebago, while we took our family trips. Good times! 😊
Such a beautiful and excellent rendition from the wonderful Sheryl Crow! She never ceases to surprise or amaze me with her technically excellent vocal skills. I just wish she would go all out and record many more songs like this! She is far more talented than (maybe she or anyone else) knows. 🤔🤗👍💌
RIP Burt Bacharach. Your songs have been in my life story since 1964 - my graduation year from HS. Terrific Orchestration on "One Less Bell to Answer" Good performance. Marilyn McCoo still my favorite on this song. I can only imagine the ultimate - Bacharach with this Orchestration - with McCoo singing. Maybe some digital genius can put it together.
@@boltonious Exactly. This version is too fast and doesn't have the melancholy feeling of remorse that the McCoo version has. I was born in 64 and have been a big fan of Bacharach and David my entire life.
Burt Bacharach passed away February 8th, 2023...40 years and 4 days after Karen Carpenter went with the angels. Reunited now in a heavenly choir that can only be imagined. We are so blessed to forever have these gorgeous musical gifts.
Beautiful voice but the real genius here is Mr Bacharach. What a masterpiece he composed. Orchestration and backing vocals outstanding. The end chord (maj 7?) on the piano so typical Bacharach..R. I. P. maestro 😢
Oh Burt.. You have my heart. My favorite song .. I was six years old when I first heard it: What the world need now is love sweet love. Still my favorite. He was and always will be simply the best!
Sheryl is very transcendent, she can perform with anyone! I also like how her hair was done up differently here. The constant thing with her is she can dress and look differently all the time but is still just as beautiful each time!
Burt Bacharah was a genius and master of music, a outstanding composer. I was (re)listening him he knews samba and bossa some arregenments that he did in this song have some takes of bossa.
