" فهو ما يسمى عند العلماء "حديث الضرير"، وهو عن عثمان بن حنيف رضي الله عنه " أن رجلاً ضريرَ البصر أتى النَّبيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فقال: ادْعُ الله أَنْ يُعَافِيَني ، قاَلَ "إِنْ شِئْتَ دَعَوْتُ لَكَ ، وَإِنْ شِئْتَ أَخَّرْتُ ذَلِكَ فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ" (وفي روايةٍ "وَإِنْ شِئْتَ صَبَرْتَ فَهُوَ خَيْرٌ لَكَ") ، فَقَالَ: ادْعُهُ ، فأَمَرَهُ أَنْ يتوَضَأَ فَيُحْسِنَ وُضُوءهُ، فَيُصَلِّيَ رَكْعَتَيْنِ، وَيَدْعُوَ بِهَذَا الدُّعَاءِ "اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ وَأَتَوَجَّهُ إِلَيْكَ بِنَبِيِّكَ مُحَمَّدٍ نَبِيِّ الرَّحْمَةِ، يَا مُحَمَّدُ إِنِّي تَوَجَّهْتُ بِكَ إِلى رَبِّي في حَاجَتي هَذه فَتُقْضَى لي، اللَّهُمَّ فشفعهُ ِفيَّ (وَشَفِّعْني فِيهِ)" ، قال: ففعل الرجل فبرأ. رواه أحمد (4/138) ، والترمذي (5/569) ، وابن ماجه (1/441) ، وهو حديثٌ صحيحٌ.

Ahlus-sunnah means people of the sunnah, ahlus-sunnah wal jamaa`ah is another term that was used by the early generations distinguishing themselves from deviant groups. But now even deviants are calling themselves ahlus-sunnah wal jamaa`ah 🤷🏻♂️

I am a Sunni muslim while my wife is a Shia muslimah (twelver) . Within the Shia's Itna asyariah (twelver) aqidah, there are extremists called the rofidoh . Just like how there are extremists within the sunni sect called the wahabi (people who claim themselves as salafi these days). Although both normal twelver and extreme twelver of Shia follow the same mazhab (jafaariyah), it is incorrect to say that all of them are similar group of people who continuously curse the companions of the prophet or whip themselves to mourn Ali r.a death. I CAN VOUCH FOR IT. This world will be a better place if we get rid of the wahabi and the rofidoh. Furthermore, these two groups from both sectors love to condemn one another which is fascinating.

Sectarian differences aside? This is Aqeedah. Truth have to be delivered regardless sects. Islam have to be followed by the Quran and Sunnah understood by the first three generation. if this is followed, there will be no sects, no new sets of beliefs as we have to follow the original.
Real unity comes when a Muslim unites with another Muslim on Quran and sunnah based upon the understanding of the first 3 generations of Muslims. The only difference between Shia and Sunni is in the 6th century after prophet Muhammad passed peace be up on him is that Shias believe the successor should be of his bloodline and Sunnis believed the successor should be chosen by the community but prior there was no Shia or Sunni it came about after the dispute and everyone picked a side and over time our human nature divide us to what it is now whallahi Allah did not mention this and to everyone in this video arguing and fight is doing our religion a great disservice
