I just placed my order for a Shield GEM today! You helped push me over the edge when I had been on the fence for a while. I'd love to see you do a comparison with a 1912. That's one of my favorites. I still don't have a Featherweight, but you've given me something to think about with the different generations. I wonder how it compares to the push button, which I really enjoy.

@leenunes007 I was going to send you this video 🤣 always happy to help enable. The 1912 is a bit much for me Lee. Just making sure I understand you. You want to know if the featherweight is more mild than the pushbutton? I find the pushbutton as smooth as the 1st gen featherweight but the featherweight is more efficient & better ergos.

I can get 10 shaves or more per blade on double edged blades - DEPENDING on which blade. (1) Try many different d.e. blade products; (2) Take care of the blade before and after each shave.

@10floz30minutes it’s been a long time since I tried to test a DE blade for longevity. I remove, clean, dry my blades after each use. Last times I tried 4 shaves was starting to give razor burn on most blade I tried so I stopped trying. Most blades I use are $0.07-$0.15 each so it wasn’t worth it to push them too me. The Gem blades I heard can really last so I figured going for 10 shaves should be ok on a GEM blade.
