i wouldnt say so theseus makes the fight much more chaotic if he gets the right god and those bullshit spears hitting you across the arena doing half of your hp doesnt help either

@@Churruminoh From my experience at least, it's much better to take out the minotaur first. Theseus in his early stages just takes a few well timed dodges to avoid, while the minotaur will keep pursuing you since he only has short-ranged attacks.

If you're already *really* good at the game, you'd do what Hutts did and kill the minotaur while focusing Theseus, but it can be overwelming to do that in the beginning and fight both at the same time with so little upgrades. So yeah, he should just focus on the minotaur first.

7:00 hutts! the difference between chambers and encounters is when they activate, a chamber is a room while an encounter is a room with ennemy! This is made so that you won't waste a damage upgrade going through a shop, but it will still heal you!

Plus. The pillars are great for blocking Theseus' spear throws. It's pretty easy to maneuver safely as long as he isn't calling his god powers down.

Give one of those juice boxes to each of the gods. They too will give you a trinket,bauble or something and you don't have to pay for them in blood. My favourite combo Varatha,Zeuses blessing that shocks enemies when you attack them and a Artemis blessing that shoots out a seeking arrow every time after an attack. It MELTS bosses. The difference between chambers and encounters is that some chambers can be empty or have an NPC to talk to in them. Encounters are well...enemy encounters. I'll edit this comment as I go through the video. It doesn't matter if you fight the minotaur as a mini boss or if you don't. He's there regardless. Oh and unlock the mirror as fast as you can. Those upgrades are essential especially defy death. Grinding on streams could be a good idea because the 'true" ending is after a 10th final boss or so. If everyone could upvote this or answer so the comment would be bumped so Hutts can see it I'd appreciate this. I won't be mad if you won't tho. Free will and all.

I hope Hutts discovers how absolutely broken hangover is. Even with just the dash, (which inflicts 1-3 stacks of hangover in an area when he dashes, which is most likely towards or away from enemies) that's a minimum of 8 damage and a maximum of 40 damage *per second!* And once it runs out, you can just restack it again. And that's without upgrades. It's a great dps skill that's saved my ass in a LOT of runs, and it's probably my favorite status effect in the game.

yeah but all olympians are pretty broken: Artemis: 15% crits chance is 30% damage increase on average Zeus: Lightning is really good damage and croud control Poseidon: Knockback + the wall damage is really good + posseidon already gives one of the highest pure stat upgrades Demeter: Slow is very good with pretty much everyone weapon and every build even without most synergy Athena: Deflect is straight up OP Dionynus: You said it yourself, hangover OP + Has overall the best Duo combos Ares: Really strong if you play pattiently and don't like to take risks Aphrodites: Really good croud control, great damage and amazing call Hermes: Just has everything you're missing to make your build even better Chaos: No reason not to take it even if it brings you down to 1hp

@@365dayslater9 It depends on which you get, either the attack or special and the weapon you're going to pair them with. The attack is useless but the special combined with weapons with fast special such as the aegis shield results in one of the highest dps combo. And you if get the double lightning boon, then it becomes the highest dps.

The cast gets good when you get the mirror upgrade that causes enemies to take more damage when they have it lodged into them. Get that ASAP!

Have to say the shield with the projectile ability is the most op combo i've ever had. Just the ability to block dmg from one side AND shoot a projectile which deals 140 dmg across half a room is soooo good.

My strongest I got in my second to last run. Adamant Rail with the bigger explosion and self damaging and some chaos special buffs. Dealt 800 damage with each special in the end.

The strongest combo for me was Athena's reflect on attack with the shield's bull rush plus Ares's doom and blade rift abilities. On my first time using it I made it to the minotaur and then got disemboweled.

You definitely focus the Minotaur. The minotaur slashes twice in front of him very slowly. dash behind him when he does that and you'll be fine. Right after the two front slashes, he does the jump slice attack, dash away when he does that. He has a lot of times when he doesn't do anything. He also rushes at you, dash behind a pillar and make him run into a pillar to kill him. While fighting the Minotaur, Theseus only throws his spear, you can just stand behind a pillar when he throws his spear. After the minotaur dies, he has the same attack patterns. After he throws and retrieves his spear, he walks away, leaving his back open. Try to attack him as much as you can in that small opening. Do that over and over. At half health, Theseus will always call upon a god to help him. I think it's random. The god will do those circle attacks around. Each god has a different attack, but a god only has one attack pattern. Mostly just kill the the bull, then focus thesues after he throws his spear.

that's not exactly how it works, zeus gives lower damage with the addition of the lightning effect. Though it does add up to more damage than most other olympian gods, the knockback is very strong. +keeping boons from specific gods allow those gods to give you synergy boons that can only be optained after picking up one of his earlier boons.

So chambers are each new room. Encounters are chambers with enemies to fight. Also, I'd recommend focusing the Minotaur. It's always easier for me, as Theseus will spam God AoEs. Loving these videos, Hutts!

I had a lot of trouble keeping up on health in my runs as well, and found that Charron's keepsake (the hourglass) can really boost how much health you have, getting 10% hp back for 10+ rooms is really good, it ended up being my early crutch. love the content and can't wait to see more

Tips for fighting the Elysium duo: focus the bull first because Theseus starts doing bullet hell attacks at low health, while his only fast long range attack has a little pinkish target over your character that tells you when he’s about to do it. It’s kinda small and hard to see at first but it’s better than the Minotaur flying at you from down town to take out a chunk of your health.

The bull is always easier to focus since he follows you around. Theseus prefers standing back and hiding behind his shield. Plus getting the bull down makes the fight significantly easier since you are not busy running around. That way you can focus on dodging the speakers.

Hey Hutts!!! I got some tips for you! 1. Take Poseidon’s gift thruout the run and just try to get the boon that gives you extra darkness and gems. And just farm. After you get all 3 death defiance’s then just try to get artimis keepsake and try to get crush’s to destroy bosses fast. Then when you get to the bull man try to kill the bull first than focus thesus.

Focus more on your shield charge instead of your Q special! Q special prevents you from left clicking and leaves you more vulnerable. Shield charge will carry you all the way past the bosses! You'll need more grinds to get the Mirror maxed out eventually but it'll be worth it :) ! I play Hades on my channel too without commentary and it has been awesome!

Some advices: before a boss there will always be the choice of a shop; You should always go for hammers apart from the times they might ruin your build; When a boon will replace another one it shows the image and the colour represent the god, so even with only the name you can understand what boon will get replaced; In the codex in the gods list if you press option or share for PS4 controller you can see the list of all the boons of gods and the requisite for obtaining them

Hey, Hutts! Great video! I bought the game after watching you play it and I love it! I'm still new to it but I can clear it consistently now, so I'd like to give you some tips: 1. Try to focus on one type of damage for upgrades (attack, special or cast) but use all of them, if possible; 2. Focus on getting more boons/hammers then upgrading with poms; 3. The shield is often recommended for beginners, since you can block, but I personally don't like it, so it's up to your play style; 4. Kill the Minotaur first, then Theseus lol it'll be easier! Again, great video! You're the best!

@@oneeGrimm It is better to choose one type (attack, special or cast) and pick boons/hammers that improve the damage or utility. For example: you can focus on attack and pick boons that increases attack damage and gives additional effects (like hangover, doom, weak) and hammers upgrades that modifies the attack; or you can focus on cast and choose booms that modifies the cast (like Dionysius, Ares, etc) and increases its damage. The more you work on one specific type of damage, the more boons you unlock that works best with it. Ideally, you wanto to try to get one boom for the ones you did not choose and focus on the primary one. Let's say you chose your special as main source of damage, then get one boom for attack, one for cast and as much as possible for special!

The reason why you had an extra death defiance is because your Lucky tooth got upgraded to lvl 2, giving you back its lvl 2 effect (reviving you at 75hp instad of 50)

Hutts My experience fighting Thesus and the Minotaur. I Focus Thesus because fighting the bull is easy after since he is much easier to predict. But better to know that you can make them hit each other. When Thesus targets you with his spear, you get that little marker on you, make the bull between you and Thesus, and Thesus will do a lot of damage to him. Additionally when the bull is charging you, dash over to Thesus and make the bull run into him. They do a lot to each other to help open up a bit.

Nice run hutts! I can't believe you found a duo boon (the green one that upgrades future boons) so fast, especially one that strong! That hammer is also probably the strongest of the boons. Oh and in the future try focusing down the bull without touching the spear guy at all 😁

You see Daedalus - you take Daedalus. Also yeah, you need to get used to use special and cast, because depending on the boons you'll get you can shred with each one of your damaging ability. Even with dash.

I've found focusing the minotaur first makes the fight far easier. Just be sure to keep a wall in between you and Theseus and you should be good. Athena's blessings also come in clutch with deflect. Dash deflect is possibly my favorite boon.

Codex upgrade for boons - ROCKS, but i guess not for your current knowledge of the game. Keepsakes (trinkets) from gods not only raise your chance to get a boon from them of higher rarity(normal; rare; epic; legendary||/duo), but also can "force" a god of which keepsake you equipped to appear next. Like if you take Dionysus keepsake, next (or next-next) boon you find will be Dionysus's. This can help you "build" your runs. Nice content. Awesome stuff.

Encounters = rooms with enemies Champers = any room Casts get better with mirror upgrades and offer alot of utilty even if they are slightly weak to begin with If you fight asterious in the mini boss encounter he will have less hp in the boss fight but you will still need to fight him. In the third stage boss fight always focus asterious (the minotaur) first. Before thesus goes to half health and uses the god effect its easy to dodge his spear throw as you kill asterious. There are infact multiple hydras that you can fight and each one has a different effect similar to the weaker hydra heads in the boss fight. The boon that upgraded all your new boons to epic was a duo boon of posiden and dionysus. Most gods have a duo boon of some kinda and they vary in power and obtainabillity. The hammer gives a weapon specific upgrade. When choosing between two gods the one you dont choose will give a different battlefield effect you have to deal with but if you live you will always get both boons When swapping boons the boons will upgrade in tier but keep the level, normal -> rare -> epic -> heroic

1. Use cast more often as there is an upgrade in the mirror of night that increase the damage enemies take if they were hit by it 2. Focus Asterius not Theseus. When the latter gets to half health he starts spamming the Aoe's, if you fight the minotaur as a miniboss he has less health in the actual boss fight. 3. the Upgraded boon rarity boon you got is a duo boon, certain boons can only be obtained by having certain boons from 2 different gods, these boons are game changers or just good in general. The one you got was Dionysus and Poesidon. Hope you enjoy the game!

For Theseus and the Minotaur it works a lot better to focus on the latter. Sticking to the outside ring Theseus misses his spear throws a lot or hits the pillars.

Spoiler hint to the boss that killed you: Hutts youre overthinking the Elysium boss fight; just rush down Asterius while kiting Theseus, then once youve killed him beat down the twiggy boy using hit and run tactics. Also, keep in mind that status effects, especially those that apply dots are honestly overpowered, and stacking them is always a good idea (for example in this run you could have had hangover, rupture, and jolt all simultaneously applied to the boss every second.)

Just finished watching your boss fight agains't Theseus and Asterius and wanted to give you tips on what I found while playing the game. Firstly, at long range, Theseus only throws his spear at you, it puts a marker on your body telling you he's aiming at you, what I usually do is sit behind a pillar so he misses the shot and keep focusing the bull. Under half health, both bosses enter their phase 2. Asterius has more range and speed and Theseus starts calling help from a random god. This can be really annoying because it fills the entire battlefield with death traps so I try my hardest to kill Asterius before even getting Theseus on phase 2. After you kill either of them (though I strongly recommend starting with Asterius), the fight becomes a lot more managable. With the shield block it's almost impossible to die if you play pattiently enough. Hopefully this helps! :D I'm looking forward to more videos on hades as I loved the game so far! (downloaded it after seeing your episode 2 and I'm currently very close to completing the game! (it took over 100 attempts though, I'm sure you'll do a lot better) )

You definitely wanna focus Asterius. He's more aggressive and Theseus will call down the gods at half health, so you definitely wanna have him on his own. In my experience, dash spamming does have some merit. It makes you harder to hit, dash strikes are you usually quite good, and things like Tidal Dash can make your dash incredibly potent at health shredding. I'm not the most experienced with the game, having only beaten one run, but dashing seems to have been something I was doing right.

Keep it up Hutts, you’re doing good. Ive killed the Dumbfuck Duo after like 10 tries or so, you just have to get some upgrades and feel for the game. I know this may seem overwhelming, but it’s actually way simplier than, for example Binding of Isaac items :) and +1 to all the comments telling you to focus the bull first. Thesius is not that bad, you just have to dodge his spear from time to time, when he has a pink marker on you. Your first Hades video convinced me to buy this game and its a blast so keep up the videos 👍
