I doubt that would work on shigi though, with how him and AFO are both in the same body fighting for control It also seems like the people he stole quirks from are in there too
@@dram3711 not really. He's way stronger in the manga then anime, and in both if he touches you, you're basically dead. Also Shigaraki has no way to permanently kill him with soul manipulation.
@@dram3711 Actually, Shigaraki was significantly overblown. He didn't survive a nuke, and he didn't even get hit by that blast. He dug away from it. He was at the mercy of some lasers. He also can't shape shift with a quirk, his body is just going stupid right now and his quirks were even turned off.
Nah Mahito is one of those antagonist that I genuinely hate because of his care free attitude when it comes to killing those people care about but during the arc when he learned the black flash I unfortunately started to like him a bit. He's an interesting character and his personality is pretty overwhelming
people hate him because he kills those fan favorives but that means he does a good job at being a true evil villain. and not only that but one that has fun while doing so which i think is fun trait for a villian. one of my favorite villians by far
I like him because of the epiphany he gave to Itadori. He fucked with him so much that he made itadori wake up to reality and unlock his killer instinct
@@supremeturtle1186 I loved that moment the whole " we're the same, but you kill without hesitation to protect, but I kill without hesitation for fun" it was very reminiscent of the king and horse moment in Bleach with Zangetsu and Ichigo.
Shiggy: - Can't see Mahito - Can't hurt Mahito - Can't use cursed energy to defend himself - Can't get out of domain expansion where mahito's attacks auto hit It's not even fair.
Mahito’s domain is not a factor Chapter 198 of jjk confirmed that domain rules do not apply to people without cursed energy Hence why naoya’s domain didn’t work on maki The domain could not recognize her
@@Daniel-xb4oy I know it’s dumb but I think for this fight you’d have to assume he has cursed energy, the guy is one evil ass hole there is no way in hell he wouldn’t have cursed energy.
@@Daniel-xb4oy Okay imma have to pull the "actually" card here. The only reason that domain expansion didn't work on her is because she has ZERO cursed energy. Except for toji and maki, EVERYONE else has at least a small amount of cursed energy, even if they can't use it for jujutsu and whatnot, it's still there. Gojo had to be wary of using his domain in the shibuya arc, because all of the citizens in it's range would've been affected by it. Toji and Maki are a VERY exceptional case
@@theyeetman9 I feel you But we have to choose one First of all let me make my stance clear Shigaraki is not beating mahito He does not have the required hax he doesn’t even have anything close to the required hax to beat mahito But people are making the arguement thag shiggy can’t see mahito And it’s kinda unfair to make that argument then proceed to say that mahito can trap him in a domain People are saying that it’s a mismatch because shiggy has Zero cursed energy and those same people are saying mahitos domain can work on shiggy You see where I’m coming from It doesn’t add up And mahito is a close range fighter So why is no one talking about speed The speed feats displayed by Deku and shiggy in the war arc trump anything we’ve seen in jjk by a very wide margin Naoya a character who would blitz mahito on a bad day Reached a peak speed of Mach 3 Deku performed a near mach100 speed feat in his battle against lady nagant. And this was a weaker Deku who shigaraki could still man handle. Mahito won’t even be able to comprehend such a steep speed difference So to me it comes down to this A stalemate. Due to mahito just not being fast enough to hit shiggy and shiggy not being able to kill mahito(verse equalization) Mahito just walks up to him and touches him gg because shiggy can’t sense him(verse equalization) Mahito uses domain expansion and one shots him inside (But there’s an issue with this outcome Mahito’s domain isn’t instant It has an activation time of 0.2 sec Someone could make an arguement that shiggy just speeds out of it as it’s being casted Cuz shigaraki can move at speeds greater than 3000m/s so it won’t be an issue But this one is debatable) So as you can see I clearly got mahito for this one
@@ImPowerAngel no way in hell you fan boy. Don't compare beings like shigaraki to mahito. This actually begs the question on if All for One could actually "absorb" Mahito. Because in MHA we do know that quirks contain the consciousness of the wielders. And if we consider his domain expansion to also be his "soul," I feel like it would be interesting to see how Mahito would be able to grapple within the vestige world.
@@alexjohnson4251not at all you wouldn’t give the terminator a proton pack for going against a ghost busters character, it’s a completely separate power system that has it’s own rules stop looking to give shigaraki a leg up that he doesn’t have it’s not a quirk it never will be and he CAN’T steal his power
@@NobleVoid- not really. Idk how mahito can com back if his body is gone plus shigaraki is way faster and physically stronger so mahito can’t really touch him.
This one was actually a fight for once. Shigaraki can manipulate almost anything EXCEPT a person's soul, so this would go either way at first glance, but Mahito can literally come back from anything so long as his soul is intact.
Now I have to disagree with you on mahito winning first shigaraki has the quirk search which lets him know an enemies strengths and weaknesses so he would see mahito forming his domain and with his reaction speed that is on par with all might in his prime he would be able to get out of it's range and as shown through Todo if say his arm or hand was touched he could cut it off before the rest of his body could change and just regenerate what he lost. And since he would know mahito's weaknesses that means he would learn to understand mahito's soul and be able to hit him and before someone says oh but humans can't touch curses well yuji punched a curse and physically touched it without curse energy so shigaraki should be able to do the same thing. And as for him reshaping shigaraki's soul his body can already mold itself so he could just morph back to how he was or with how his soul is already changing shape while fusing to all for one it would be hard to alter something that has no set shape to it. So yeah I say shigaraki wins.
one problem tho regeneration doesn't work he would just regenerate the lump mahito created his soul would be damaged and unless shigi can heal that he fucked an the reason mahito went for todo's arm is because he couldn't do the full body in 0.2 seconds which he had to do because sukuna had him lookig death i the eyeand when did yuji hit a spirit without ce? and you can't exocirse curses without cursed energy they will not be hurt at al and there are two type of inhancements one where they infuse it and one where cured energy also hits the opponent. also don't forget mahito is an exception even between curses he needs to be oneshotted when hitting the soul or you need to make him run out of cursed energy before killing him WITH cursed energy and one question about the weakness and strenght quirk is it automatic or does it need to be activated? because mahito is invisible for people who have less cursed energy then pre awakening maki
“It takes a Curse to kill a Curse” Shigaraki can’t damage Cursed spirits without cursed energy, hell he probably can’t even see Mahito EDIT: the verse equalization argument is bullsh*t because you basically choose to ignore the rules of the power system and the verse for the sake of convenience, Quirks are primarily physical while Cursed Energy, Spirits and techniques are metaphysical. And even putting that aside Shigaraki has shown that he needs physical contact to damage people, as shown when he couldn’t do sh*t to Mirio, and since Mahito is CURSED SPIRIT, he can’t be hurt by physical attacks(even before taking his technique into account) hence why people with no cursed energy like Maki and Toji, need cursed weapons to kill cursed spirits. Shiggy has only shown one instance of a POSSIBLE soul related power, and that’s when he’s stealing quirks, and he then it’s not like damaging the victim. Verse equalization😑? smh.The rules of the verse are part of their powers, and one should analyze how these rules interact eachother when putting these battles together. Powers like Positive and Negative energy, Soul Interaction and Non physical interaction are present in series like DBZ, Bleach, twin Star Exorcists, and hundreds of isekai. Characters with those abilities would be able to kill a cursed spirit
@@aghitsaplane4262 well in that situation it works since stands have users and can be defeated that way so I never equalize the power systems but with curses if I'm debating things I usually make it so the can be seen and touched but hax of the systems are kept (example: Naruto's truth seeking orbs do not bypass infinity since infinity is cursed energy) in that situation tho I still make his techniques invisible since he is visible himself
Mahito: you can't see nor comprehend what I'm doing Shigaraki: I destroy everything I touch... wait who am I talking to? Mahito won't even need Domain Expansion.
If I recall correctly, you can actually damage mahito if you know the shape of your own soul like yuji, and if we're trying to compare jjk to mha. Shigaraki has kinda seen his own "soul" when he was still dead before he wake up & destroyed the city during the 1st war arc. So if this rule applies then shiggy might be able to win🤔🤷🏾♂️
Yes I agree mahito I fail to see how he would even get close to shiggy seeing as shiggy can decay a whole city, mahito would just get decayed before he even move
@@Prec1sion-Aim wouldn't even if there was a physical body Mahito is literally phyiscal manifestation of negative emotions so he would just come back at some point or time
here's a quick question but WARNING- MHA MANGA SPOILERS BELOW: quick question tho, the quirks All for One and One for All prove that souls exist in MHA, and not only that, All For One has been able to affect Shigaraki's soul. Do you think this would potentially give Shigaraki or All for One a chance to fight back against the soul manipulation?
I don't really think that it's actually their Souls more like a Genetic Memory of the person. (Kinda like Shifters in AOT) basically meaning that it's just the remnants of the person left behind with their Quirk. While their Will, Intentions, and Memories may live on the original user is still dead
@@hid3f_ I mean if he can’t see him what’s dumb about it? Sure the logia thing is stupid but what’s dumb about the fact he can’t see him, and even if he could he gets bodied.
@@hid3f_ but logia users can be effected by other things, for example water, any form of mind trickery etc. But unless one verse has some vaguely equivalent ability then they can’t really deal with it.
In jujutsu kaisen the soul is practically the body. Depending on how Great and reinforced one’s body is, he can do so easily since the grand majority of most people aren’t that strong in a physical sense. If he were to face shigaraki that depends how tough and physically strong his body is to resist idle transfiguration.
Well you wouldn’t be wrong but this theory isn’t exactly supported by much evidence. I know it was stated that “the soul is the body and the body is the soul” but we don’t know how well someone without cursed energy will react to idle Transfiguration, as we only seen it used on people with cursed energy to defend against it.
Shigaraki and Mahito are equal and identical, they are also very strong and between the two, one destroys things in his hand and the other modifies a curse with one hand.
The latest episode of mha was insane, I was hoping deku's attack would of broke through or counteracted it some since he has one for all and shigaraki is now the new all for one.
Well this is assuming that souls are a thing in the my hero universe. You could end up with a Star Wars situation where the force only exists in that universe and if a Jedi tried to use the force in a different universe without midichlorians then it wouldn’t work. If Shigaraki doesn’t have a soul then the two would essentially be in a dead lock with no winner as neither would be able to completely kill the other
The match up in general is kind of flawed, because the only real way to beat Mahito is if you were capable of some sort of cursed energy manipulation, making most characters basically incapable of beating him (not counting reality shifting characters, obv). Shigi basically fails the first test, as do most characters.
Shigaraki stomps and it ain't even close actually. Due to him having afo inside him he knows the outline of his soul (we literally saw him talking to deku in such plane) so he can hurt mahito
Can he hurt mahito: yes Does that mean he can hurt mahitos soul: no, so he still gonna be immortal. Plus, with the fact mahito is a curse, while since he can see vestiges, souls, shigi could see him, I don't think he could touch him.
Plus theres the fact that shigi would probably not know of mahitos ability, and vice versa. While for mahito, it's a good thing since he will heal from stuff like decay, but shigi can't heal from soul manipulation (in fact the soul controls the shape of the body, so only people like mahito could undo it) , so shigi gonna perish
@@jamesneo-lk8zx not really. His soul transfiguration ain't a one shot attack, anybody who's actually strong can take a few hits from it without problems (like nanami in his first fight). And yes all of shigaraki's attacks should hurt mahito just like yuji's attacks could because they both know the outline of their soul's because of another being living inside them(shigaraki have more than 1). Shigaraki one taps, his decay should work on his soul as well just like how yuji's attacks could. There's also the fact that mahito would just run out of ce and his technique will deactivate
We haven't seen much training from Nanami, and he was scared of being in range of the domain as he knew her would insta kill (therefore countering what you said) Even if what you said was true, shigi didn't have enough cursed energy control like Nanami to get even close to resisting it
People still don't realize you can beat mahito by knocking him out then killing him not to mention mahito is not in the same speed range as shigaraki this guy heavily misjudged that shigaraki is constantly reacting to light and moving at rela to lightning speeds another thing people seem to choose to ignore is that shigaraki can sense things he can't hinting he has some sort of 6th sense and if were using verse equalization properly shigaraki just going to absorb mahitos power through afo its just a stomp
@@key2shawn154 and shigaraki has shown to completely outscale mahito , mahito would lose to stars and stripes someone shigaraki beat the entire premise that mahito can even win this fight is bias and wank.
@@key2shawn154 shigaraki literally can produce infinite body parts without a quirk and is physically stronger than all might without a quirk which means he can tank any physical attack mahito will over do mahito only has two attacks that can do anything shigaraki the idle transfiguration and his domain expansion version of it even then shigaraki has more that one soul inside of him and shigaraki is aware of his own soul so it's arguably not going to work on him at all
@@izukumidoriya-qg8lu but that’s the thing mahito hasn’t been shown to have a limit on how many times he can transfigure his body and use the people he transfigured to help him fight
Mahito is down played because of people in he’s verse like Sukuna even though Sukuna is the strongest but let’s not forget he’s feats: Being able to dodge a punch from Gojo, Being able to go toe to toe with Yuji and todo aoi, Having the ability to one shot anyone with a soul and having the ability to react to a black flash while performing one.
The one thing here that’s questionable is whether or not Shiggy can hurt Mahito. The vestiges in OFA and AFO do involve things very similar to souls and shiggy was specifically made to be able to overpower them. He might be able to kill mahito because of that. Search also may let him see mahito since even just advanced senses can let people see them
@@robertjames6936 What I'm thinking is that search might help there. That or AFO has a bunch of sensory quirks since he literally has no face or eyes. Characters like Toji and Maki can see curses just through having good senses.
@@oceandragoon3099 the reason AFO can see is because he is using infrared vision and stuff and I’m pretty sure search can’t like literally search for one’s soul
@@doctorhelth Yeah in hindsight search wouldn't help here at all. But my point is people without cursed energy can sense mahito if their senses are good enough. And shiggy would have multiple sensory quirks plus a body that could adapt to sense better.
The only way for shigaraki to win is if he is able to find a soul manipulation quirk (the mha verse would have souls because of verse equalisation and we know that there are a infinity of quirk possibility, meaning the possibility that a soul manipulation quirk existe, with that i belive shigaraki would be able to win and even counter the "idle transfiguration") Now a question, Could rewind counter the idle transfiguration??
@@key2shawn154 Because there's no souls in the mha verse but because of "verse equalisation" they would now be, and he could find a soul manipulation quirk.
That last part about needing one onetrillionth second reaction speed for black flash isn't true. Black flash occurs when you just so happen to apply cursed energy in just one onetrillionth of a second after a physical hit. It's all luck, that's why nobody can do it on command.
The only way Shigaraki would potentially be able to put down Mahito is if he was able to decay the vestiges of One For All since they're basically souls but I highly doubt it due to Mahito being faster than him anyway.
There is misconception Mahito is a living curse and most curse a literal manifestation of negative emotions it cannot be perceived if you do not have and aptitude to do so and you would need a curse to destroy a curse
Bruh I ain't gon lie I thought Shigaraki was about to crack Mahito but man's actually made a good point. If Mahito gets his domain expansion off its game over because there is no dodging it and also not gonna lie I didn't realize Mahito was actually that broken. Being able to keep yourself alive as long as you can maintain the shape of your own soul is busted
You do bring up a good argument, but cursed energy comes from negative emotions. Am I saying he will get cursed energy off the bat, of course not, but maybe being around mahito could allow cursed energy to be born (plus he could just use soul manipulation to give him a small amount of cursed energy)
All humans have curse energy just not enough to be effective in battle unless you're born/made a sorcerer...you're thinking about people who have Heavenly restriction which Shigaraki does not.
Normal circumstances he wouldn't be able to hurt him but in this hypothetical sense everyone is able to hurt each other. Now whether or not he does damage is another story.
Mahito is definitely a better fighter no doubt. And I feel like most fighting analyzers in jjk focus and learn from their opponents on a different level. (Spoilers for anime watchers only) Also we didn’t even mention mashito’s second form. Which is pretty tenacious.
Funny enough I think shigaraki vs sukiyaki would be even more complicated and potentially more competitive . From what we’ve seen sukunas CTs have a lot of damage output but is not as hax as soul manipulation
Shigaraki is basically the equivalent of Todo's "Black Flash." Would probably oneshot any other opponent but not Mahito (and curses for that matter, me thinks)
I'm giving it to Shigaraki. Yea if Mahito touches him it's wraps but it's also the other way around. Not to mention he's much faster, stronger and more durable than him and has access to a plethora of other quirks. And I'm pretty sure Mahito can't come back from being completely disintegrated
I don't think decay can go enough to effect the soul. Mahito can come back and even make his soul in a way to stop decay by replacing the parts effected by decay till it's finished
We see remnants of peoples quirks when shihuraki steals them, which shows he has a way to access them, also could be at the vestige world. Which in my opinion, shows that he has access to peoples souls, therefore he could “miss shape“ their soul (my main point is that quirk remnants and vestiges are pretty much just MHA‘s version of souls)
I still kinda think shigaraki is gonna win because of his arsenal of quirks So far shigaraki has been held down and hasn’t been able to use all of his quirks because of Aizawa’s erasure
Mahito is like Gojo, despite not being on the level of many characters (outdone by Shigaraki in every aspect) you'd need a very specific set of tools to beat him, which fucks you up
