Richie - These take apart and maintenance videos are awesome. No lie. Even when I'm not fishing, I can stay engaged with it by maintaining and modifying my gear. I also just ordered a drag clicker for my SLX DC. I can't wait to try to install it. Thanks for making these videos. Keep it up.

I have a shimano casitas since 2017 and looking at your video I can see that the two are almost the same inside. It seems that shimano only changed the structure on the outside on the slx but it remains the same as the casitas on the inside, with the exception of the spool because it is mgl of course.

Sweet man 😎🤙🏽 I’ve been wanting a Casitas MGL for awhile! Heard that thing BOMBS! Haha and yeah most of em are pretty similar. Just shot a Curado MGL 150 take apart that will be posted in a couple weeks, and the Curado line has some slightly different stuff going on which is interesting.

Ahhhh I’m sorry man I have no idea, I’d have to take the whole reel apart again to find out! 😃🤷🏻‍♂️😂 Might have to wait until you take yours apart to measure or maybe you can even find that in a forum or something. Whatever kit you buy should tell you the reels it’s compatible with too I would think? 🤔 Haha I get super excited like that too when I have something new coming and want everything for it to be here when it arrives so I know the feeling! 👊🏽😁

Sorry I didn’t understand what you meant by fit, I guess you mean like can you fish it in saltwater? I’m sure you could 🤷🏻‍♂️ small spool though best for short pitches and flips mostly used on freshwater bass fishing, also I don’t think it has a seal to keep the salt water out of the reel like say a Tranx does.

@@WhereWeWild hey, thanks for replying. sorry, my English isn't the best. When I eject my cast everything sounds good, only when I turn the crank the sink makes a noise :/

@@Tim_FPV Hmm. 🤔 Well I guess all you can really do is just make sure all the bearings are smooth, make sure everything is in the right place, make sure every part is clean and doesn’t have any sand or dirt in it, check the main and pinion gears for any damage and that they are lining up properly. Give everything the oil and grease that it needs as shown here and see if the grinding goes away. That’s what I’d be doing 🤷🏻‍♂️ Sometimes it’s a really specific thing where I’ll know exactly what’s wrong right away, but a lot of times with these reels you just have to check off things one by one to figure out exactly where the problem is.
