Love this such great sense of humour especially dear Phil Everly r.i.p , so sad the news today of the death of Gerry rest in peace, another star of my childhood gone .just realise both Phil and Gerry died on Jan 3rd .

Nothing like the quintessential Everly Brothers. Miss those days. They taught everyone else how to do harmony and tell a story in their music. Miss those days of Rock and Roll when music was music. Miss them. RIP Mr. Phil.

What an amazing video clip!! Don was a trooper to keep performing even after Gerry’s guitar hit him in the nose - ouch. I noticed Don kept singing but didn’t play guitar after that. The Everlys did a great job performing those Gerry and the Pacemakers songs - just goes to show that they could take any material and make it their own. And kudos to Gerry for his guitar work in “Pretend”.

I've never met Gerry in person, but he seems like one of the most friendly, likable people in the world.

If it wasn't for the boys there wouldn't have been Gerry and pacemakers, notice how well they did the song.

Glad I stumbled onto this one - that was great - Gerry was a good entertainer right up there in his homeland with the Beatles for popularity and the Everly's - never saw them have so much fun performing

I got to See Gerry and the Pacemakers perform in Bakersfield, Ca in 1968 or 1969. They had great voices.

There used to be a video of Peter noone and Fred garrity singing a song from Mary Poppins on shindig. Those 2 we're having a riot.

Excellent medley. I'm surprised Don could even continue after Gerry's Rickenbacker gave him a bloody nose. At 3:50, you can glimpse Don still wiping his nose at the edge of the shot. Lucky he didn't lose a tooth. Heckuva hit. Phil keeps going, but appears concerned. Ouch!

Gerry Masden shoves himself between the Everly Brothers at 2:18. He was obviously jealous that the brothers sounded better on his material. Then at 2:48 Gerry knocks off Don's nose. Then at 3:47 Don is now longer seen having gone offstage to tend to his nose before returning onstage. At 4:31 the announcer jokingly says, "...that's dangerous work if you can get it."
