I didn't see this version posted anywhere so thought I'd upload it.
Probably 1956 based on the ages of Larry and Lorrie (11 & 14 as announced by the Emcee)

I just discovered the "Collins Kids", and am stunned that I've never heard of them before. After some research, this video is from 1956, as Lorrie's age is 14; Larry would actually be 12, not 11 as he is two years younger than Lorrie. I'm devouring everything on RU-vid about the Collins Kids, as their talent is astounding to say the very least, and also their style and music is quite original at this time as "Rockabilly" is just getting started. Wonderful video, and I'm so glad to have discovered this amazing brother-sister duo.

It's NOT rockabilly, it's not "rock n roll". They are plainly wearing Western outfits, before it was lumped in with "Country". Western Swing. Joe Maphis, etc. Of course they were open to marketing. One of the shows they frequened has "Ranch" in the title. Laster, all 'kid oriented' Dance music was lumped into Rock n Roll.

@@SuperChuckRaney In this early 1950's time frame the 'Nudie" fringed stage attire was worn by many performers across the musical spectrum. FYI, the hard electric guitar being played by Larry is not "Country" by any stretch. The Collins Kids sound and fast tempo here is definitely "Rockabilly". Although the Collins Kids did perform on the first televised "Grand Ole Opry" in 1956, this was due to their growing popularity on TV shows in that 1950's era. Soon after that 1956 Opry opening, Roy Acuff banned all electric guitar from the Opry, as he wanted to keep "Country" close to its early acoustic roots and away from the then rapidly growing Rockabilly, which soon transformed into a harder "Rock" sound in the mid-1960's. American music post-WW2 is a a fascinating study in musical interaction and transition as Jazz and Big Bands, slowly gave way to but still influenced and were in turn influenced by, Blues, Country, Folk, Gospel, and other Roots Music. Around 1946-47, Bluegrass took traditional Appalachian Mountain music, and amped it up in tempo, replacing the Appalachian fiddle lead with the Banjo! Rockabilly was right in the middle of all this transitioning, borrowing and influencing in its own right! I've heard traditional Appalachian Mountain music mistakenly called "Bluegrass", when the fiddle lead clearly is NOT Bluegrass! Likewise, Rockabilly can swing a wide spectrum from bluesy-country-like to borderline hard Rock. One absolute giveaway about Rockabilly is that If there is hard driving electric guitar in there, it ain't Country, it's Rockabilly!

@@63DW89A "Western" ain't Country, at all. It's all really just marketing names made up in some office by a dude talking to another dude, bot of them smoking. The artist isn't really limited by the name, that's why sall some hits "crossover hits". Western was combined with Country as a marketing name later, much later. And most of the Rockers in the ate 70s (rockers from the 50s) played on Country and Western stations. Sooo no one "ever" used the Name Rock and Roll AND THEN some exec stated calling 'it" that, and suddenly Bill Haley and Buddy Holly are playing Rock N Roll. Wonder what Bill Haley sold his records "under" in 53?

The exuberance is contagious... Larry seems like he probably sleeps with that guitar -- and I mean that in the best possible way

How is it possible to hear Larry singing when he is so far from the mic and is leaping around? Miming?
@richtintera5524

I don't see how that mike can pick up Larry's accompanying vocals when He's so far away.

It can't ... and if you look closely his hands are not where they would have to be to be playing what we hear ... looks like it might be both vocal and instrumental "playback", or dubbed.

this would had have been mid to late 50's.

At around the 3:00 mark the announcer says they are 11 and 14 years old so this would probably be around mid 1956.

Wow! It looks quite good quality. All the other Collins Kids 'Town Hall Party' videos on youtube seem to be ripped from inferior quality DVD rips. Can't believe someone just threw this out! Would love to see the whole thing if you post it :-).
