Absolutely! I've taught school for 18 years. I put classical music on for my daughter in her swing because we were trained to let the classical music go through out our classrooms to enhance learning on another level here in Minnesota. My daughter is now 13, and not only is Gigi an excellent singer, but she's a excellent communicator, but definitely at the top of her class educationally as well with just excellent manners and well-behaved mannerisms across the board. I worked in inner-city schools as well and they never did the techniques I was taught in upper suburban school district, so naturally I introduce that techniques to our inner-city Teachers as well. ALL FACTS!!!

The t-shirt thing really really works. My mom told me when I was a baby my nickname was cat-nap Sally because I wouldn't sleep until my grandmother told her to put a piece of her clothing above my head for the scent. She said after that I slept through the night. I adopted that same idea for both my daughters and it worked like a charm. I took it a step further and put it in their bassinets under their sheet. The closeness of the scent of my milk comforted them. Best thing ever!!!!

YES!!! You both are awesome parents. It warms my heart to see the love between you all. Although I am doing it alone, I have the same testimony, and my son was born in 2006. It's the fact that you are intentional parents who talked to him before he was born and you have actively been talking to him and involved in his development since birth. That does help babies brains and speech develop at a different rate than babies who don't have parents who do this. If you treat your child as an intelligent being you will reap the rewards, just as if you treat your child like they're not intelligent they too will doubt their ability and follow that line of dumbed down communication. I never ga-ga goo-gooed my son either, and it has certainly been a blessed journey being his mom. When he was an infant, people (my family) thought I was crazy for talking to him like he could understand. I didn't care what they thought, I had to make sure he understood that I respect that he is an intelligent being who is just smaller and can't yet fully communicate back with me yet. Because of that, I was blessed with many amazing moments that I can still remember to this day, just like it happened yesterday. For example, we were in the grocery store, in the checkout line, he was about 4mo and strapped to my front, and a woman walks up to us saying, "OMG!" "HE'S SO CUTE!," and she proceeded to address him with baby talk, ga-ga goo-gooing him, and he just looked at her like lady I don't know what you're saying but I speak English! He looked at her so hard it looked like he was looking through her! Then, he rolled his eyes and turned his head away. She was shocked, but I wasn't. I told her I don't baby talk him. I talk to him like a person who can understand me because he can understand. She was offended and walked away. Some people just don't get it, but genius minds began from having parents who understand that babies can understand what you are saying to them. So, I can tell you that as long as you continue to pour into him daily he will continue to blow your minds daily with his level of intelligence! This is only the beginning!!! Know that Shine is as blessed to have you both as you are blessed to have him. Keep up the great work and watch him SHINE!!!

YES! I used to babysit lots of little ones from 3months - 2 years old. I would always ask one of the parents for a dirty shirt to be left for me as it was alot easier to settle the baby with the parents scent rather than my scent! It works wonders! So if you ever leave Shine with someone.. leave them a dirty shirt 🥰😍❤ LOVE YOUR FAMILY!!!!
