HI! In John 8:12, Jesus makes this statement, “I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.” He is light and it overpowers the darkness. The darkness hates the light and tried to put out the light, but the light was resurrected by God and shines ever brighter in those who believe. The church carries the light of Jesus into the dark world.
