Hi, Lei! There are not any shelters nearby, nor do we have relatives to rely on. We couldn't make payments on our mortgage, and we couldn't get a job good enough to pay for the mortgage. So, it was better to let the home be foreclosed on and be out of that debt hanging over our head. Like the Bible says, the debtor is a slave to the lender. God is watching over us though. Blessings!

I used to think that the word worship meant to sing praises to God. However, to worship God simply means to show reverence to, and/or show adoration to God. Each day, there is reason for me to praise God. Sometimes, I can praise Him gazing at a beautiful sunset, the starry night, and even during a rainy storm. I can also praise God for my basic needs, answered prayers, and for all that He has given me. And, I praise Him for my salvation!

Since my divorce in 2008, I"ve been homeless 3 times. At first, I found it very lonely. But I reached out to people to make them smile or laugh and spent a lot of time praying. I would recite scriptures in the late evenings. One night, I realized that I may seem alone. But I was never lonely. Reflecting on it over time, I realized that it was an exciting time. I had to live by my wit and trust God. I had to be resourceful in ways I had never imagined. I was more content during that time than many other times. I discovered my SUV was my home. In the front passenger seat was my kitchen and office. Behind the driver's seat was my bedroom. My closet was behind the front passenger seat. I lived rather well. I remember singing Me and Bobby McGee from time to time and discovering how true that line was. "Freedom's just another word for nothin' left to loose." We put way to much value on things that don't matter. I discovered how to self entertain, and read the Bible with great purpose and understanding. My friends and relatives would wag their heads in pity for me, but I was living it up. What a life! I wouldn't trade it for anything. Thanks for the song. It may need work, but the heart behind you singing it was pure and sweet. Thank you.

This has always been a favorite song of mine. I actually remember hearing it for the first time when I was just a child way back in the early 1980's, when I was living in Indonesia. A famous musician named Joan Baez graced my parent's music collection, where " Oh Happy Day" was heard often. Since receiving Jesus Christ as my Savior in 1991, this song has a whole lot of meaning to me than before. I'm overjoyed that Christ died for my sins, that He washed my sins away! Praise be to God!
