Shining in the Darkness (Mega Drive) Final Floor, Final Boss, Ending 

I recommend it if you can, the game gets a lot more interesting after that as you get the other two characters that use magic. It is a grinding level game though, you'll find at parts you need to battle for gold or exp and the encounters do get repetitive. But in the early 90s this was quite normal! Shining and the holy ark for the Saturn has much stronger mechanics and a better game if you can play that instead it might be more fun.

Haha yes, a lot of the beginning has become second nature to me though, I weirdly remember a lot of the mazes for the first set of trials. Similar thing to Phantasy Star, though the new version of that on Switch does give you a map on the screen!
